(Speed ,Dexterity,Strength,)

Red jumped on to a high branch in the trees of the dense forest area before him. He was in a hurry, he had to move quickly in order to catch up. He could not lose him, he had to keep moving. If he got away, who knew how long it would be until he got to another chance. The branch under his feet broke from Red's weight when he landed on it. A resounding crack was heard and Red felt himself start to fall to the ground forty feet below. If he was able to still see then he was sure that his life would flash before his eyes. However, all he knew was a great feeling of dread that surrounded him. A tearing pain seemed to fill his heart and mind. Even though he did not hit the ground yet, he felt the agonizing drain of torn flesh and broken bone in his body. Though the pain was not only physical, it was something else. A tearing emotional pain from within.

This fall was maybe the worst thing to happen to him in his life. He was so close this time. He knew the he was near, he knew his smell, the sound of his voice. The slow, so slow beat of his heart. He was only training in the forest when it happened. Working on many of his streaghts . The water was his guide at that time, showing him where his targets were as the animals of the forest started to move around. Knocking them out of the air, trees and ground. it was easier than he thought it would be. But he never thought that he was going to come across someone who would change his forever, yet again. he noticed the beating of his heart first. The slow rhythmic beat that could only be mean Ookami. He had heard it so many times in his childhood. Just sitting around the corner playing by himself with a toy he made himself. That heart beat meant danger, it meant hatred. He knew to quickly move when that met his ears. Though now as he was falling it amused him to think this time he was running away from him this time.

Then the water brought a smell over to him once he noticed the slow heart. the smell of flowers and rain. then the musty, sweaty smell of fur and bad hygiene. If any bear had smelled that they of course would have that it was the sell of a normal bear. A normal brutish and slow monster. But of course the hear beat Red heard meant otherwise. And the was something else as ell. the tiny hint of human mixed with the sweaty fur of the grizzly. So it came to think someone was standing next to the grizzly bear? they were eaten by the grizzly bear, something of that sort yes? But once Red seemed to be the only one to know the truth of these hidden messages. the smell of was gone from his person now. In the chase it seemed to disappear, and as Red continued his slow fall to the ground he thought of the words that he had heard as well. The meaning they might have had...

"Good luck Red, I do hope you achieve your goal someday" They were simply a whisper at most. As if he was speaking to himself. though Red heard it, he heard almost everything. And when he made that whisper he should have known Red would have heard it. But of course he could have forgotten that part of Red after all this time. Or perhaps he wanted himself to be heard. Perhaps the whisper was a chance he was taking, maybe he wanted to have Red follow. Just maybe... either way Red had heard it. the evidence was over whelming and Red turned towards the direction he knew him to be. Though, the was no more sign of him around, no smell, no heart-... but wait. Yes Red could still hear it. the slow heartbeat he knew so well. Moving off in the distance.

Could Red just let it go? Could he simply let him go, let this chance fly by. Red had no sign of his return for almost 3 years now. How long would it be until that chance came back to him. what where the chances that he would by alive then anyway. He had to be at least twenty by now. How much longer did he have? Red knew the cost of the clan, he had maybe four more years, five? No Red couldn't let him go now. Otherwise he wouldn't get another try. he wouldn't get to him again. that heartbeat would never be heard again. " Red, no, you know what happened last time. You haven't grown very much since then. You are not yet used to this new power. Your not ready." it was strange, Ailan seemed to be the voice of reason for once. Usually it was him who wanted to jump into conflict and start battles. But Red shook his head, he couldn't let go. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't let go. He had to chase him down....

Red let hi arms out as he fell, the water rushing past his body and through his hair. Really, he felt free from everything in the moments that were just before his death. The water swirled around him easily and he felt his jacket rub against his body. He let himself fall to the ground, content with the way he lived his life. he accepted really, and that almost surprised him. He always thought he would try to find a way to cheat death, to end the limited time he had in the world. So as he readied himself for it all to end. He was surprised he was enjoying the fact he didn't have to worry anymore. That he could die... without regret.

A loud crash could be heard echo through the tees. Birds took off as they were startled by the noise. Red coughed up a spray of blood, crimson fluid leaked from his chest as a rib showed through the skin and clothing. True physical pain finally erupted from his body. Searing agony burned along his chest and arm. He felt warmth take over his torso as blood began to pour from his wound. he sucked in a breath as it seemed that even breathing hurt do. He was sure that is he could see this is the time that things would get blurry and start to fade. Though such things were not there to distract him as others had. he could only focus on the pain that pulsed through him. Each second another torch seemed to be set upon his bare skin as the pain got worse. he took shallow breathes after the coming seconds, waiting for it all to end. Though it seemed that it never would.

It just got worse, and he almost began to beg for it all to end. He was used to pain yes, but he had hoped for it to be quick, this wasn't what he wanted. Yet sure enough, Red began too feel cold and numb. Sleep seemed to slowly over take him, he felt as if his body was rising up, being taken away to his resting place. He must have died now, for the pain was gone, he was floating, floating in a dark abyss. peace flooded him and he let it take him. He slowly slipped from consciousness...
Red standing in the middle of a small clearing. he was only about nine years old at the time. Ailan stood next to him, being fully grown the jounin was even a few inches higher than Red himself. Though because of this Red could often ride along Ailan's back. But he did not really have time for such things now. The water kicked up, sending Red's hair in a fury as he stood waiting for movement in front of him. he stood with a kunai in hand, knees bent and poised for action. His piercing green eyes where focused intently on the figure in front of him. The person let out a sigh and straightened up. They were tall, and had on large black robes. Their reached down to the small of their back. A sword held in hand, which was pointed towards Naru. The water sent the man's hair out in front of him, making it impossible to really see his face. Though the way he held himself showed that he was a man of awesome power and skills. Someone that a simple nine year old kid could have to hopes of winning against in a battle. though Red knew that he would have to try. otherwise he was sure this man would find no regret in killing him. If he just let himself be destroyed, then no mercy would be shown, but perhaps, if he was to fight back. If he tried as hard as he could, life would be given that day.

Only utter silence filled the area. the water made even no noise as if passed through the clearing. Leaving no audible sound in which could give away either Red's or the man's intentions. All movement except the flow of hair and leaves from the water stopped. If an onlooker came across the scene on would think that they were statues set for a memory of a long battle. They seemed to stay that way for some time, even Ailan being immobile during the duration of the silence. It seemed to drag on for eternity until suddenly, a lone raven broke through the trees and flew off into the sky. at the sound the man suddenly sprung into action making a quick slash at red's shoulder.

Red was barely able to move in time to block the attack, putting his kunai in front of the sword, a loud clang echoed through the trees. Though the force of the hit knocked Red backward. He stepped out behind him and caught himself on his right foot before he fell. Red grunted and shook his arm as he felt a jolt of pain go through it. The attack was strong one, Red thought that perhaps he ripped a muscle in his shoulder blocking the blow. He looked and found that the man was already upon him, laying down another strike with his sword.Red moved faster this time, adrenaline now in his veins. he slapped always the blade with his kunai, though before he could counter attack the man twisted his blade and attempted an upward slash from the other side. Red chopped down with his kunai again and stopped the man's attempt. Red jumped away from him, getting some distance. Once he was able to get away another, more powerful wave of pain thought down his shoulder and arm. He barely was able to lift his arm now. the trikes that he kept blocking had so much power behind them that it strained his arm to take the hit. he shook it out, but the pain only increased when he did so.

Red looked back up to the man now, he could see dark green eyes looking into his own. he seemed to be locked suddenly in the gaze. Being unable to move, a chill ran down his spine. each of his muscles started to twitch as fear started to creep into his mind. " You are weak Red, just give up now, why continue to fight it?' The man began to circle Red, taking slow lengthy steps in a clockwise motion. Red started to move the opposite way.." Why wouldn't I fight? Should I simply try to take death wholeheartedly?I won't take death curled into a ball on the ground like a bog." The man laughed at Red's words then, it was a menacing laugh. Having a hint of stored power and energy in each tone. One could think of it as the laugh of death itself. Burning into Red's body in a way that a red hot blade never could. Red almost missed a step as he was circling as the laugh seemed to pierce into his mind. Red stumbled slightly trying to gain his balance while he watched for the man in case he tried to make a move.

The man seemed to simply continue circling around Red as he stumbled, moving at the same pace. Red over stepped, getting himself to be back on balance. Though as he did so the water picked up again, throwing his hair in front his face. Red tried to brush it out of the way with his free hand. When he did the Man was already upon him again. He slashed out at him with lightning speed. Red moved as quickly as he could being only just fast enough to bring his kunai between the sword the man held in his hand. Each strike caused Red to almost loose the kunai as his hand was blasted backward with each block. Each time he was even almost knocked off balance, but he kept his ground. Red blocked on last attack before he was finally sent crashing to the ground. He landed hard on his back and the air was knocked out of him. He looked up gasping for air at the figure above him. The man stood looking down at him, the un shining brightly behind him, making the lone silhouette have glowing yellow around him. The very angel of death towered over him.

" Don't you see Red, you fight yes. But it is useless, in the end you would have been better off just accepting while laying on the floor like dog as you said. Because now you lay on the floor, you body weak, your emotions now taking hold. And the outcome was the same either way. " The man flipped his sword around and brought it high over his head. The blade pointed downward directly at Red's chest. Red's eyes starred open wide at the blade. It was a deep silver color, and soon, it seemed it would be covered in crimson. " if it comes down to it, if you know that death would be your only outcome. at least accept death like a man Red. don't try to run away from it. it will do you no good" the man then started to bring the sword downward towards Red. he closed his eyes in fear, not wanting to see his own death coming. He was only nine after all, he didn't expect that it would all end so suddenly.

Suddenly a mass of black fur crashed against the man that stood above Red. he was knocked away and dropped his sword at Red's feet. the man stumbled backward as he seemed to struggle to get the mass of fur and muscle away from his chest. As Ailan seemed to be clinging to the man's body. A bit of blood was dripping onto his teeth that were clenched between the mans shoulder and neck. Though the man brought a quick fist into Ailan's ribs and yelp escaped from his jaws. Ailan let go and dropped to the ground with a thud. the man clutched his shoulder and spat at the jounin on the floor. " Stupid animal. you fight the inevitable just as your master." the man stomped down on the jounin as he spoke. another yelp could be heard and Red crawled to his feet. he looked at the man with blazing eyes, a silver colored in his hands. " Stop it, stop it now" The man looked at Red, the nine year old boy that tried to hold his sword in his tiny hands. It shook savagely as Red's tried to support the weight. the piercing laugh dug deep into Red again. And he felt tread and fear creep into his very soul. ' very well boy, you shall take his punishment"

The man clapped his hands together and then straightened up his posture. Red could see his mouth begin to bulge out a bit and finally he opened his mouth and the a large stream of fire erupted from his lips. the fire crashed towards Red and all he was able to do was hold the sword up to the flames, blocking only a small portion of the flames. The rest was sent along his neck and face. Red felt the fire lick at his nose and forehead. But most of all a terrible agony burst through him as he felt his eyes seem to be ripped out with a rusty fork. He dropped to his knees and the flames died down. Red cried out in pain as he felt his the cornea of his eyes burn away like dried grass. Everything around him went blank and Red could not see anything. though he didn't care in the least about that. He curled into a ball on the ground as pure agony took him over. He stayed their on the floor as he hoped that the pain would soon die out, but after thirty seconds of unbearable waves of heat washed over him that felt like eternity. The pain still did not die down.Red can hear the man walk over to him and he stood before the boy on the ground. He reached down and picked up his sword, sheathing it in a furry of moment. The man looked down at him, piercing green eye unemotional as he watched Red cried out in his own personal hell. " What are you doing? get up son, your training isn't done...' Red's father brought a foot down on his chest, it was the last thing Red remembered before he awoke.

Red sat up quickly, screaming as loud as he could as his hands reached out in mid air. Only blackness was around him. Only a silent abyss and black veil sat before him. His hands dropped to his side and he could feel a soft fabric between his fingers. A woven cotton with what felt like silk underneath it. Red could feel this fabric resting over his entire body. He began to reach over to his right. Red's hands found a small desk next to him, a small circular cylinder resting upon it. Next this was a large item that felt like a high bowl. Red flipped the switch on the lamp, he felt a small bit of heat start to come off of the area. Letting him know his had turned it on. Redfell back on to the bed. He sighed and felt his hands. They were shaking again, as they always did after that dream. It was one that he always had, when he first went blind during training. His father never trained him after that day. he just saw it as a waste of time. "How can a kid who is blind ever learn anything" he said. Red had accepted that for some time as his grades slipped in the academy. But somehow he got back on life. Red heard someone enter the room as he laid there. The door opened with a small creak and footsteps came to the edge of his bed. ' Red, are you alright? what is wrong?" Red simply shook his head in response. Nothing was wrong. He had that problem all the time now. That same dream over and over again. " No, I'm fine mom"....
Present
Red sat up, aching, his throat throbbing, everything was hurting. His heart pumping the life enriching blood coursed through his body like sand paper. His head screamed as if birds were peeking at it. Practicing for hours upon hours, day after day, Red was bone tired, chakra was completely drained from him, but it wasn’t all bad, one day he would know that all this training would pay off, his speed, streaght would increase, stamina and endurance that were now being pushed to the limit would not even be strained. No, today everything was coming near its breaking point, the polished and respected ninja of old had died, all that was left was a broken man who could barely rise himself to his feet. Body mind and soul were exhausted from this brutal training, Red had never been this shape in his life, passing out almost once an hour, legs not able to stand, arms trembling so bad he looked as if they would fly off in a moment. Eyes barely open, light screaming at him, the very air seemed to weight hundreds of pounds.
Red struggled to his feet, rising himself, he started to walk, then almost jog. It was going for one more lap, just one more time around the forest, it could kill him if he missed his footing, or passed out in a river bank, but the prize of knowing, that if he made it was well worth it. Today he did five more laps than yesterday, and 8 more than the previous day. Soon, with enough practice and stamina, he could truly be considered that ninja who pushed himself.
So Red shuffled along, his eyes barely visible, remembering that nine year old kid, who has his life changed, he almost smiled, as he moved. Now look at him, pushing himself to the limit and beyond, all for the sake of personal gain, knowing his is better than before, and knowing he actually made a difference once upon a time. Now, the selfish ninja, ran, but not for himself oddly, but for a nine year old kid somewhere, who is just learning just what it means to be a ninja.

(Speed ,Dexterity,Strength,Chakara)

The crackle of rocks was deafened out by the peace offering, the barrage of white hiding well the thread wires that split from the bedrock, growing inch by inch. Cracking with deep surges, energy split the rocks. The wire twined together, soon meshing within into a single conduit that pushed hard through the precipice through the canal of bedrock until it was delivered within the stench. Smoke rose on grainy pumes, bound by gravity as the slender and lithe cable preceded the smoke, rising and curling about until it was plucked from the very prison of its confines. The fumes of a midday snack within raw sewage emanated from the well-timed menagerie of stench.

Rotten things, foul things, touched the cable and beheld it, and if the single cable arising aside Red had a face, it would surely have smiled, however being the stoic inorganic material it was, no such happiness was awarded. Betwixt about the cable now was purple thread, and surging even stronger alight the cable were tendrils of electricity, spread like palms across the plain, until the varying thread of the cable burst open, growing, redoubling, and taking form. Smoke arose in lofty pumes around the form, until soft, silky icy hair pushed forth, draping long past the face that now appears, innocent eyes peering into the remainder of the town that was declared their battlefield. A band of blood and death circled him head as his icy locks brushed past the nape of him neck, innocent irises staring towards the encircling cables that lanced into a deadly piercing rush.

It was apparent that these cables were coming from a raven source, a shinobi much like Red himself, however older. There was a long story behind this battle, however everything about it rang that it was a personal confrontation, you see, this was the very shinobi that had claimed the life of Red's father, and he had been dedicated to revenge when he had discovered that he remained alive. Spinning to the left into a pitch in order to avoid another cable inverting into a deadly lunge, however the sharp inorganic material cut along him right arm, spraying blood upon the terra around him persona. He drew breath heavily as he quickly gathered senbon within him left hand and lunged upwards, executing a frontal flip that allowed him avoidance. Landing on the cable, He lashed out along its expanse running along it as he lashed outwards with three senbon. The senbon were easily deflected as he lunged upwards. Two cables now asserted themselves before him as he swiftly slid Retsu-Yatsumi from its scabbard and into a fever-pitched downwards slash.

"You were the one! You slayed my father and now you shall pay for it!"

"You shall be the one who dies for challenging me, little one." The shinobi retorted, without emotion within his voice. He had not notice him slashing at one of his cables, and he also had not taken notice to the likeness between Red and his own young daughter. The shinobi gave no part for contemplation to Red, and his right arm pushed itself back, the muscles pumping and gathering force as his muscles pushed that fist forwards towards Red as he cut through one of the wires and managed to avoid the other. The fist, as it sped upon its path, slammed with force into the young woman's sternum and pressed him onto the ground, sliding several feet away from him as the cables snapped back into his backside, smirking as he brandished a kunai. He walked towards the young boy, ready to continue the fight as he found himself quickly lunging back up to him feet, his eyes staring to the shinobi.
The beat of him heart pounded him insides, making it aware he was a bit nervous, but of course no one else could see this, as him face was remaining innocent, His kendogi slightly ripped where the fist had made a heavy impact with him, the hair falling down the nape of him neck and sprawling down him back. The eyes of the shinobii known as Red swept through the area quickly, the soft blue reflecting off a lot of the shine in the area. Though the other one who he was opposing may think Red was just a weakling in their fight that was most certainly not the case. It may have been obvious through him display of skill that the young woman was anything but helpless, and though he had been struck down, Redfound himself upon him feet once more

"The name is Atreyu. I believe you deserve to learn my name before you die, at least." the shinobi said in a young tone, and quickly formed a blurr of hand-signs, while speaking a phrase that Red could not much understand, however darkness seemed to be welling around Red at a constant, until the world around him began to warp and shift. He knew sheer he was, the Crimson Sunset Brothel. Red instantly fell to him knees, hugging him knees and cradling him head, nightmares coming back. Red floated in the nightmares for what seemed like an eternity, however light suddenly filled around him as he remembered something - there were people who loved him, Katoshi valued him as a friend and companion, and was him friend after all. Not much after he had been affected by the genjutsu, Red stood up, breaking the genjutsu with the words of 'Kai!' then stepped forwards, a smile managing to cross him countenance.

"That will not affect me anymore!"

With the sight of the one titled Atreyu directed at him, Red’s eyes widened as him teeth clenched to one another, a small vein on the left side of him temple popped right from his skin. On the angle he was at he could see that of the man, and since he was on an angle he had a perfect opportunity. He stepped forth just as the Atreyu character did, Red s boots dragging their heels along the ground, making tracks in the dirt, but right as he knew the man was picking up speed to attack him, all hell broke loose. As his arm jerked back and up towards Red, He quickly snatched a few more senbon, quickly counting five before letting them fly towards Atreyu with vicious intent, two towards each shoulder and one of the senbons to his right knee with agile flight. It would hit the man within a one or one and a half second delay after his hand was fully extended, And Red would quickly snap Retsu-Yatsumi, which would be directed for his main torso area, and with such power it was enough to knock the man back a good few feet while causing a light scrape across the torso.
I shall surpass my limitations!'

'You are weak without me, boy...A fragile delicacy of the Hyuuga Clan.'

'No..No, I don't need you!'

'You say that now....however what happens when you're beaten?'

'I will become stronger!'

'You will never become strong, you will never survive...without my aid.'

Him hands rasped as he fell upon him bottom, him hair's strands being slightly cut by inorganic essence which writhed about him as if a snake, jutting viciously for a single attack, one that would be lethal enough to be fatal. Trodden upon the terra, him digits soon caressed the tresses of ice-blue hues, before enveloping him lean knees, him head dipping below the slight cover of the jutting rock behind him with enough time to spare in incoming incision of the wiry substance, him mind caressed by him worse nightmares, the inner voice of the demonic essence within him laudable if nothing else and sending him through a midsummer night's stroll down a memory lane that he had abject fear of, memories that paralyzed him at the slightest whisper of a name or thought, inciting such fear, however something 'shone' as if a beacon for him frame to grasp, something that could perhaps tow him from the line between sanity and insanity, to save him from being lost to inane madness.

'You are wrong about me....'

'How is that? I am never wrong...about anything.'

'My father loved me very much, more than enough to die for me, and I have to live for that sacrifice.'

A revelation coursed him mind as the nightmares faded from him, oozing away as if some sort of liquid solvent, and Red was forced to make another realization just as he quickly found himself coming back up to him feet, however quickly returned to him cover as the organic substance of the wire nearly removed him head from him shoulders where it stood. Red realized that he did not wish Vengeance nor did he anger at the shinobi fighting him, Atreyu, for his slaying of her father, he only wished him peace and had noticed that had he come to this realization sooner, that this entire conflict could have been averted. There was no way to disengage this fight now, as Atreyu had a killer intent radiating from him, and him own curiosity about the very extent of him skills and how limited he indeed was pressed him forwards once more into action.

"I just realized that I don't hate your guts."

"Why not? I am the one who killed your father in cold blood."

"You were just doing a job, and now it's my turn to do mine."

Red abruptly pushed away from him current position, dashing outwards towards Atreyu just as he spent a few moments to cast several more inorganic cables towards him locale, him right hand withdrawing Retsu-Yatsumi as him legs propelled him forwards in a resounding ringing of metal, hr digits drawing the blade and lashing it downwards and to the immediate left of him, splitting the blade easily into an inorganic cable and lopping it in half before executing a flip and landing firmly on another cable. he was nearly out of breath, however he pushed everything he was into shattering him limiters into the massive heave of a slash, back flipping into a crescent that managed to cut through half of the cable he had brought around to defend himself and slightly into the chest of Atreyu himself. clearly worn out and lacking breath, he stood and regained him stamina from the attack before lunging to the left, avoiding an impaling strike towards him.

Red's endurance was being worked tirelessly as he continued to run circles around Atreyu, avoiding his cables as he had sent a mass of them all out at once. This tactic was currently preventing him to get close to Atreyu, and thus him agility was tested as he lunged over and strafed, performing parried upon cable after cable that tried without respite to draw blood from him. He found only a moment of breath behind a large rock, however it was quickly shattered moments later and once more Red was forced to exert himself in order to stay alive. Red knew that he had to become stronger, that he must become stronger so that he could protect the innocent, those like himself, and continued pushing himself for another two hours before he finally gave out and fell behind a large boulder. Atreyu was kind in the respect of that he gave him thirty minutes to recover before resuming the fight. Red was currently fighting to not lose and would have to pull of something spectacular to win this fight, he understood as much.

The deep, stark black darkness receded into Red's small room. The only source of light was a small, rectangular window which was etched into the frame of the wooden door. He attempted to sleep, and yet he could not force slumber to come to him that night. Hearing a shuffling from within the hallway, he instantly sat up and was startled when the only door leading to him small cupola opened with a loud groan. the old woman that was him mistress entered the room first, preceding two others. The first was a shinobi, obviously from Kirigakure, while the second was a young man, also from Kirigakure. Red was able to discern that the shinobi was the younger man's guard. "He will be yours. He is the finest money could buy, a snow-white delicacy of the Hyuuga clan." replied the wench in a raspy tone.

"Then I shall enjoy this lay, and you shall be well-payed." replied the young man in a smoothed tone that flowed as if water. The matron was quickly annoyed as another whispered in him ear. he bade the princely youth and then set off form the room, closing the door behind as soon as the shinobi also took his leave. The youth's intent then tuned to murderous lust as he turned to the young Red. He merely offered a pleasant smile and began to slowly remove him clothing. Grabbing the tattered ends, the youth stripped him in primal ferocity and grabbed him by the nape, bringing him warmth close to him. "You obey me." he mouthed. Grasping him at the nape, he forcefully shoved the young boy away, however was interrupted when suddenly the door bust aside. Before he could arise, the youth was dead. Shivering and naked, Red stood in the midst of the small cupola, and was hugged by the intruder, a shinobi, and someone who seemed familiar. He started to cry as the man draped him within simple blue robes and spoke only a single line that brought more tears. "I'm your father, and I'm getting you out of hime."

The two rushed quickly through the building, the stronger, older man settling Red on his mount and letting him go towards Otogakure, while he himself settled upon another mount. The last image he saw was of his daughter, fleeing to a better future, before a pair of shuriken found their mark upon him. Red had turned back to see him father's death, him pupils dilating, him mind gone to the madness and chaos that had been set ablaze within him soul. He blacked out before long, the dreams consuming him.

Red instantly lunged atop the boulder, forming a strong of hand-seals as fast as him fingers would let him while shouting "Kirigakure no Jutsu." soon, deep, dark mist began to settle in and Red glanced about the mist. Atreyu would be unabl to see completely, and he use this to him advantage, slinging off several senbon before jumping into a large tree and lunging downwards into a slash. By the time the mist had evenly distributed, the senbon lay embedded within the terra around him, him sword slicing through empty matter as one wire swept into him sternum, knocking him onto him back and sliding away from Atreyu with force. He coughed up blood, him left eye sealed as him vision grew hazy, then he fell into a state of dreams soon after. For some reason, Atreyu merely walked away from the Genin.

Red had been disappointed with himself at him lack of strength when he had finally risen from the coma he had been placed within, a few days from the fight that had occurred and had been in the hospital for the rest of that week. he somehow felt stronger, and had instantly returned to him training regimen the moment that the nurse wasn't looking him way. slipping through a small window, he walked into a small dirt circle and instantly began to call upon the blue chakra around him, the esthetic essence of blue matter began to form around him in an aura as he practiced him chakra control, finding something weird about him amount of chakra, then quickly after roughly an hour of training him chakra control, finished the night with agility and strength training. Red just had to become stronger! Otherwise, he would never become strong enough to be of any true use to Sound Village, and he wouldn't be able to live out him father's words. When he thought of him fathers, tears strained down him cheeks.
"Oah my god, what are you doing outside young man?"

The Medic Nin complained once he found Red training in the forest outside of the hospital. he had a concerned look on him face, and Red knew that the medic was only concerned for Red's own well-being, however Red knew that he was weak and that he had to become stronger, that was the only thing in him mind at the moment. He let out a slight chuckle as he snapped up to him knees with fluidity, then spoke to the medic-nin, before being thwapped about at the back of him head. Red turned around to the kunoichi, rubbing the back of her head.

"I'm fine, I need to become stronger."

"You need to think about your health first!"

"My health is fine..."

"Fine, I obviously can't tell you anything!"

With a sigh, the medic nin returned to the hospital, leaving Red where he was. The young ninja quickly scurried up into a large tree, moving with nimble grace, and looped him legs around a low-hanging branch before hanging momentarily, taking a few moments to think about the past week and what had happened to him in total, before quickly pulling up and down, working him leg muscles in order to tune up him speed, working all through the darkness as he quickly exercised repeatedly. Red continued this motion until he was nearly entirely out of breath, at which point he dropped, twirling before landing on him feet and jumping backwards.

He moved on in him new training regimen, quickly lashing out at a makeshift dummy in front of him, moving him arms as fast as they were, willing them into solid punches and jabs, then spun into an uppercut and descending into a kick before maneuvering into another set of heavy jabs and punches, working him arm muscles until they were about to the point of when they would wear out entirely, then he took a few moments of break, sitting down on the mottled grass and taking a sip of the water skin. He was determined to continue him training, however, and stepped back up to the training dummies.

This time, he approached a different dummy, one with many limbs, set in the fashion of Chinese practice dummies to practice one's handwork and skill, to extend their handwork and reflexes to the point where they would b able to bring out a punch and know exactly where to hit in that moment. He began slow and clumsy at first, working him way around the multitude of arms within the dummy, however as he worked until the waking hour of the morning, he got faster, wearing away at the arms as he broke into a flurry of strikes at the end. He had finished that part of him training regimen and now collapsed in exhaustion, gulping down the last of him water reserves.
Insanity was truly a frivolous thing. There was one more thing to do before the respite of sleep would catch up to him and claim him, and now was the time to accomplish it. The woman only known as Red rose up, him eyes scanning around, until they fell upon the potential target for that one aspect...that one thing that just beckoned to him, as him eyes wrapped around its very form. Lithe in construction, the pole jutted from the ground as the object' momentum domed about. Several poles of various widths formed synapses around the crude wooden object, wreathing it entirely. Him leg muscles pushed back, gathering energy and pushing forth, propelling him at extended speeds, greater than that of what he should have been able to do at the age of twelve, towards the object. To the average eye it would appear that his body had a blurry outline as him feet pressed upon the terra, propelling him towards the wooden pole, him body entering within range to the object. Him right arm suddenly jutted outwards to him side and retrieved Retsu-Yatsumi into a clean swipe that arced outwards and to him left side while him body maneuvered onwards.

Insanity is truth.

Him sanity was teetering, the voice within him mind grew louder and louder, until he nearly cuffed him ears, however he had a job to do. At point blank range, him feet hooked forth, ready to latch upon him as the paper-thin blade carried itself without of the user, proceeded into a fin line that, with the momentum of the blurring dash behind it, sought to lop the wooden construct cleanly. As if that was not enough, senbon were soon employed by Red. Him left hand hooked around into the leather pouch at him side and quickly snapped back with senbon firmly in grasp, and letting fly as the figure of Red quickly hopped from the wooden construct, the slash mark etched within the side of the construct. The few senbon clashed along the face of the construct and dug inwards, lancing into the wooden core as the figure of Red landed haphazardly. He managed a smile as him body twist about and waltzed back to the totem construct. The boy quickly wrapped his digits about the senbon, plucked them from the wooden construct, and slid them into the pouch.

(Speed)

Red walked in the training grounds. He looked around and put on the wights on his legs. It was time to work on some speed. Redstarted to run. The weights started to weigh him down. Red was trying to improve his speed. He jumped into the trees the weights started to weigh him even more. But Red ran even faster and faster, the weights were hurting him. But he coudn't stop. He kept running, thinking of all the things he would be able to do after this. Run fast! Um, run fast! And run fast??? Okay, so he could run fast. So to run faster, he decided to always wear these weights. Wearing them would make him stronger and faster. So he kept running like this for hours, till his legs started to hurt. Red was running like hell, then he stopped because his legs felt like hell. He was wearing these waits for some time.

Red stood up and looked around. He found himself a tree and decided to run up the tree. Red still had the weights on. Red ran towards the tree and ran up it for three steps then he jumped off. Red ran up again and run up the tree. Then he jumped off. He decided to try it another time. So he looked at his weights again, it was time to put on hevier ones. Not ones that would make a dent into the ground, but rather a hole. So Red took off his old weights and put on the new ones. He started to run and jump. Red was already getting tired from the weights. Sweat was falling onto the ground. He was really getting tired. The weights were HEAVY!!! But Red would never give up.

Red just kept running, he was determined to find a good tree to practice his kunai training. He ran and ran, without much thinking, until he found a big tree. It was perfecct for kunai training. So Red took out a kunai knife, then he threw it. Then he remembered to make a target. Red took the kunai out of the tree, then started to make a target. Once that done, he started his training. He threw one kunai knife at the tree. Then he saw hit the bullseye, but it came close. Red threw another one, this time it came closer, but not close enough. Red took out another kunai and threw it again, this time it missed by a mile. But it still hit within the target. Red got frustrated.

Red recovered his kunai and started throwing them again. The first one hit near the outside, the second one nearly hit the bullseye. But not close enough. Red threw the last one and it hit the bullseye, but the kunai bounced off. It didn't count! Red screamed into the air. There was a lot of frustration going on. But he didn't give up. Red took out the kunai from the tree and rested. He stopped training for now!

(Intelligence,Dexterity,Strength)

Red strode through the rain, a hood raised over his head to shelter him. He grimaced through the pouring wet cold, the cloak was only a mere fabric placebo. It barely shed the water, and his boots were equally waterproof, and cold. Silently he trudged through the elements, walking down the dirt and gravel streets of the shoddy town.
Torches and oil lamps lined the streets, hissing as the rain flirted with the flame.
He passed the merchants, the drunk and the petty thieves. However his goal wasn’t to spill blood, like his newfound title of “Sound Four Ninja” suggested.

No. Red was searching for something far more valuable.

“So, Red is it?” She murmured, leaning forward to rest on her elbows, a frosty glass of some exotic iced tea held in her fingers. “What brings you to this corner of the world?” She continued, pushing a glass of tea towards the teenager. Red glanced at it, eyeing the tea for a moment, then, picked it up and took a sip. “You,” He said plainly, setting the glass down.
She froze with the glass midway to her lips.
“Me-?!” She echoed, visibly puzzled by the young man’s answer. “Are all the girls just that uninterested in guys anymore over in Otogakure
?” She teased and leaned back against the wall of the café. The woman smiled at her own little joke and pursed her lips at the rather dirty thought. “Of course, you know…..I’m kidding.” She said quickly, then sucked down a large gulp of fruit-sweetened tea to stifle a response. Red drank a little more, and returned the glass to the table, and adjusted the cloak around his body, lowering it around his collar bone. A flash of polished metal glinted there, and the woman reached forward—rather intrusively—and slipped it out from beneath the folds of fabric.
She grinned.
“Otogakure,” She mused, tracing the four wavy engravings with her fingers. “I haven’t seen this symbol in ages.” She let him have the emblem back and returned to her seat. Red nodded, “So I’ve heard, Isaribi.” He said, more or less to state her name to positively identify the woman. “Like you, I haven’t slashed Otogakure’s emblem because I respect it. I know you left for the same reasons as I—“
“So you think I would automatically have the same goals?” Isaribi sniped, waving her glass at him. Red sighed and returned the emblem to its hiding spot. “Partially,” He admitted. “But there are a few of my own I’d like your help on. One of them involves my family, my clan.”
“The Otogakure?” Isaribi murmured incredulously. “You’re still hung up on that old world style of thinking from them?” She leaned forward, and glanced at a man as he passed by staggering drunkenly. She smiled and guessed his other goal. She flicked her wrist, and five points of orange flame flickered into existence at her fingertips. “You want in on the Akatsura’s secret art, don’t you?” She prodded, waving a flame close to his chin. She frowned, “or you want a shave.” She added sourly, motioning towards the growing stubble on his chin.
Red returned her frown with a level, stonefaced expression. “The Katon Element.” He said sharply, “I’d like you to teach it to me, I’d like to learn how to release the full potential of the Earth Arts.” He explained, and set a bag of coins down in front of her. Isaribi stole herself back, looking at the hefty bag. “How much are you paying me?” She asked, pointing a flame-tipped finger at the bag.
“Enough Ryou for you to buy that skiff you wanted back in Otogakure
.” Red replied flatly, moving the bag out of the flame’s mischievous reach. Red leaned back heavily against the back of the chair, and reclined it against the wall. Isaribi pursed her lips and extinguished the flame, she held the back in her hand and weighed it. “Alright,” She agreed, and pocketed the gold. “On one condition,” She hissed.

Red met her eyes from across the table, and nodded.
“You won’t tell anyone where you learned this art, Iwagakure has become my little sanctuary.” She told him sternly, and flicked a small dagger from her sleeve into her hand and held it level with his throat. “Got it?!” She snapped. Red raised his glass to the blade and tapped it aside, and mockingly, took a drink.
The door at the far end of the bar swung open, letting in the cool breeze of the night-cloaked desert. It only reached so far before its cleanliness became smothered in the smell of burning tobacco, liquor and grilling meat. A pair of men entered, dressed appropriately for the desert, laden with pouches and gourds. Both wore a set of throwing knives on their belts, and they raked the bar with their eyes, before settling on Red’s booth. Red swallowed the last gulp of tea, and motioned lazily towards them.
Isaribi nodded, “The fire element is an interesting breed of chakra.” She murmured, waving her free hand over the flickering candle. “It can be used to produce tremendous amounts of light, like this candle.” She worked her chakra over the candle, and moved the flame about.
Lightly, Isarbi dipped a finger into the warm, melted wax and stirred it around, careful to avoid the center near the flame. “Fire can also be used to soften and solidify, it can sculpt things to your needs.” She continued, and switched her eyes from the flame to Red. “Contrary to popular belief, while it gains strength from emotion it doesn’t thrive on it.” Isaribi said, manipulating the tiny flame with her finger.
Red nodded and quietly drew a kunai under the table as the men advanced towards their table. Isaribi glanced at the marauders as they came closer, and ran her eyes to each of their weapons. She continued with the miniature lecture.
“Katon is all about the breathing, the ability to control your breathing will determine how fluidly you can control the element. You inhale, focus your chakra’s and then exhale, accelerating your chakra and mixing it with air, creating friction which sparks a flame or heat source. Some adept ninja have done this through movement, although this is excessively difficult without a bloodline.” Isaribi continued, “But its most effective if fire is ejected with air, it will fly farther that way.”
The table was abruptly jolted by a violent impact from a pair of fists, rattling their glasses. Red vaguely acknowledged who the hand’s belonged too. Isaribi held her hand over the candle, and arched an eyebrow. “Can I help you with something?” Red asked coolly, angling the flat of the kunai so that it flashed faintly against the candlelight.
The tallest, broad shoulder man wearing the knives, cracked a wry grin and chewed lazily on the lump of tobacco in his lip. “Why yes,” he replied smugly, and wrestled a crumpled rectangle of parchment from a pocket, and slammed it onto the table. REd watched him, locking eyes with the man and opened it slowly, peeking inside for the slightest hint of broad, sweeping kanji.
He half expected to be blown away by a concealed explosive, or poisoned by an aerosol. But what he found inside was a picture. His picture, freshly printed from the local bounty business.

“Hyuuga,Red.
Sound four of Sound.
Taijutsus Specialist
35,000 Ryou for his capture”

It read plainly in large letters. Red held it limply in his hand, then folded it with a few movements of his fingers and laid it back down on the floor. “I’m guessing you’re a bounty hunter?” He replied, keeping the blade visible. “And I bet you brought your friend along….Because he specializes in Lightning Arts?” He murmured, flicking the tip at the thin, wiry man. The thin-man nodded, then drew a kunai attached to a length of chain wrapped around his waist.
“Let’s not make this anymore difficult for the both of us than it needs to be, okay?” He replied in a high, nasally tone. “Especially in such a fine establishment,” he joked and twirled the blade lightly around his hand.
isaribi leaned forward, putting herself in front of Red. “The first lesson, Red, is to conserve your resources, augment whenever possible, and watch your surroundings.” She said, then threaded her fingers together through a series of signs with her hands.
The men tensed, and Red reacted instinctively--
“Hibashiri!!” Isaribi cried, and the air around her erupted into a brilliant whirlwind of orange-white fire, wheeling wildly through the air as she twisted from her seat and cleared the room around her in a flash of searing heat. Red’s eyes snapped to the fire caster as he hit the ground a short distance away in a crouch. Already people were running for the exits as the flames licked greedily at the surrounding wood and alcohol.
Red’s pupils contracted and widened as the flames flickered in the uneven lighting, his skin felt hot as the flames lashed at the air and the smell of burning wood reached his nose. “You’re even crazier than I thought….” He breathed as she whipped the flames into a frenzy with the slightest movement of her hands. “You’re bloodline must have been incredible….” He murmured, and slowly stood to his feet, squinting against the ferocious firelight.
“Your bounty is mine!!” The wiry man cried from one side and Red spun in the opposite direction, crashing back-first into the bar as the kunai sailed past and clattered against a bar stool. Red’s flicked to the chain as it pulled taut against the wall, straining just inches from his face.
Moments later, accompanied by the sharp impact of blunt objects against bone and flesh, Red sent the man crashing to the floor, with blood running from his bruised jaw. A crack split the chaotic air, and Red turned his head in time as a wash of fire exploded, and flooded the bar.

(Intelligence,Dexterity,Strength,Speed)

The flames receded into a sharp, wet cold, and when Red next opened eyes, he found himself covered in soot and ash. The smoke had left a tangible, burning, dry texture on the back of his throat and he sat up, coughing and searching for a bottle of water. He paused when his hand hit cold wet grass and he realized it was still raining.
He blinked several times and tried to get his eyes to adjust to the darkness and the prevailing chill, and wrapped the soaked cloak around him. A kunai knife lay beside him on the grass.
A loud pop reached his ears through the rain and RED snatched the knife, and quickly found the source of the sound. His eyes squinted as fire flashed into existence not too far away, and strained his eyes to get a look at the figure.
“Did you really think I would leave you in there?” Isaribi said, adding kindling to the fire. red climbed to his feet and made his way over to the cleared ground and sat before the circle of charred stones. “No,” He said, staring into the flickering flames. “I thought you took the money and ran.” He added curtly. Red’s eyes flicked to the bag of supplies the woman had apparently gathered.
“And those would be?” He asked, pointing idly at the leather sack. Cylinders of wrapped paper stuck out of the top, labeled with the kanji for “Katon”; Fire Release. Isaribi patted them affectionately, “As you can tell, these are chakra scrolls for mastering the Katon Art.”
“They look outdated.” Red said flatly, pointing to the old, water-stained parchment and leather backings. A red seal emblazoned them on the front, an insignia he had never seen. Red nodded as soon as he understood, and noticed that Isaribi had gathered other items. Most notably ink wells, calligraphy brushes and extra rolls of parchment. “Your clan’s teaching style, I’m betting.” He murmured, reaching forward to select a scroll.

Isaribi lashed out with her hand and swatted his fingers away. “The Akatsura guard their secrets jealously.” She said through clenched teeth, giving him a hard stare. “I will only teach you how to master the Fire Art, however I will not teach you our techniques.”
Red grimaced, and his fingers curled into a fist at his side.
“Katon is a difficult element to learn, it’s much more different than Doton, your Earth Art, yet both are highly compatible. Ever see how a volcano works?” She began, and unrolled a scroll of parchment. She set it before her, dipped a brush into its well and began to draw. First she drew a peak, and Red tilted his head, then she drew a circle within the peak near its base, and filled with a curling sketch of fire.
“The Earth element is solid, and patient. You wait to strike and bide your time, waiting for just the correct moment to retaliate. It’s a remarkably tactical area of Ninjutsu, from what I’ve read,” Isaribi murmured. “Because of this, few of its Ninjutsu art’s require much chakra, it’s how the shinobi from Iwagakure are able to outlast virtually anything that comes stomping at their doors.” She flipped the brush around and pointed at Red. “You know this very well, I followed the reports when you moved through the Land of Waves.” She murmured, then went back to her diagram.
“Fire is the opposite. Its passionate and encompassing, it is the engine of the planet, fueling the creation of Earth. Fire is intense and requires focus, without it you’ll either injure yourself or wound others.
“Combine the two,” She said, and made a series of squiggles running up the center of the volcano. “And you get the ferocity of fire with the calculating precision of earth. The fire melts the rock, and produces an entirely new element.” She finished the diagram with more snaking lines arcing from the peak of the volcano. Lava.
Isaribi grinned, “Fascinating element, Fire is.” She said, jotting down more notes on the parchment. “If you can learn to fluidly combine Fire, you’ll become a true Doton master.” She added, and pushed the parchment forward along the side of the fire so Red could study it.

Red ran his eyes across the text. He looked up from it with a grimace and bit his lip. “I have to feel it?” He asked, looking at the text again. “The Akatsura are really into this ‘embracing the fire’ training, aren’t they?”
Isaribi paused, and then relented. “Yes. You’ll need to experience the full intensity of the heat, how it feels as it burns, how your body reacts to it externally, before embracing it as an internal fuel.” She replied and pulled out a red scroll. She unrolled it and pointed at the first section of text. Red set the first scroll down and examined the instructions.
“….Focus my chakra around my body temperature, and envision it amplified….” Red repeated, tracing the text in the dim light with his finger. He looked at the fire and could only wince at the method he immediately thought of. “The clans in Sunagakure practice coal-walking. Once this fire produces coals, you’re going to make me walk across them, aren’t you?”
“Better.” Isaribi answered, and extracted a few slips of folded paper from her satchel. “First I’d like you to hold these in your hand, and focus your chakra into them,” She instructed stood, and reached over the fire towards him. Mamoru watched her cautiously, then took the slips of paper, and unfolded them. It was light, almost pulpy, and strangely wax-like.
“Its paper grown from tree’s that were planted on shinobi graves; their chakra resides in their wood, and thus when the tree is harvested it can be used to detect chakra nature’s. However, I don’t need to detect your nature; I need you to focus on your chakra and envision the paper burning.” Isaribi explained, and retreated back to her side of the fire. She reclined, and leaned against her bag.

“You’re serious?” Red asked, and returned his focus to the paper when isaribi returned with a frigid glare. He held his hand out, and placed a square of paper in the center of his palm. With his free hand he formed a seal, and inhaled through his nose.

“Excellent, you were listening back at the bar….” Isaribi murmured, watching him focus. “Now envision the fire in front of you. Imagine being at the center of the coals, surrounded by the intense heat, try to recreate that with your chakra.”

Red remained motionless for several moments, letting the fire’s heat radiate off of his skin and face. He scooted closer to its rim, inhaling the heat through his nose, trying to block out the oppressive cold on his back. The forest fell into silence around him, and his ears trained themselves not on the sounds of wildlife, but on the popping and crackling of the wood. He breathed in one last time, and swallowed.
Chakra ignited in his body, and funneled up through his chest, wound itself around his shoulder and surged down the length of his arm. His fingers twitched, his body tensed and his jaw tightened--
A sputter of flame burst from the paper, and flickered there in his hand for a few brief moments, before utterly consuming the rest of the paper around it.
“Excellent.”
Red shook off the ashes and embers, and reached for another. Again he set his mind into action, picturing the kindling of a small flame in his hand. He remembered, vividly, the flash of heat and the trail of smoke, the touch of fire above his skin. Oh yes, this was what he wanted. He wanted to be different from the Hyuuga, his clan.
--A surge of heat exploded into his hand and Red shoved his hand into the dirt. He stared at the cold ground and withdrew his hot fingers.
“I see you put some emotion into that one.” Isaribi murmured as Redreached for a third square. He bit his lip and ignored the fire witch. He squeezed his eyes shut and continued the cycle, meshing spiritual and physical energy together, then accelerating it through his tenketsu, or chakra veins, and finally out onto the paper where his emotions manifested into a spectacular spark of energy. Red reached for a fourth, feeding his fire on the thoughts and emotions that had been festering within him for months, no years.
The fourth square this time, nearly ripped itself apart, exploding into a shower of embers as soon as Red’s chakra touched it. Then a fifth and the flames licked at his palm before erupting into a shower of sparks. It felt good, too good to burn away the disgust and hatred. He reached for a sixth, and Isaribi grabbed him by the wrist. She locked her amber eyes with his grey, and focused on him.
“Something is eating you from the inside,” She murmured quietly. Red wrenched his hand away and curled his lip in disgust with himself. He stared at his soot smeared palm, feeling the heat radiate off of his flesh. “I want to show to them, that I am just as capable as they are of being a shinobi.” He seethed, crumpling the last square in his fist.
Smoke curled from between his fingers, and his grip became white knuckled on the paper, squeezing harder. Isaribi reached forward and clasped her hands around his. “Then prove it to them,” She replied dangerously and channeled her chakra into his smoldering embers. Red slowly opened his hands, and stifled a sharp intake of air. In his hands he held an open flame, hovering above his palms, flickering in the air.
“Now let’s try sustaining the flame.” Isaribi suggested, and she slowly removed her hands from around his. Red felt a knot of anxiety churning in his gut as he watched her support leave him, and he sat there on the ground, holding the small flame in his palm.
“Picture those flames as your goal,” Isaribi offered, eyes flashing in the firelight. “If you abandon them, the flame dies and so do your future prospects. In turn if your goal wavers, if you hesitate the flame dies.”
Red nodded and dug deep inside his thoughts, churning up the memories from his childhood. Isaribi sat back and watched him curiously, observing his face his expressions twisted through a mix of seething anger and humiliation. Gingerly she grabbed some kindling and placed it in his hands, fueling the flame. It grew as she nourished it. Red stretched his fingers as the flame grew and greedily swallowed its fuel.
Red had managed to drown out all external influences, and now let himself wallow in a tempest of emotions, feeding the flame as it expanded with his chakra. What had formerly been a small, wavering flame had burst into a growling ball of fire in his hands. The burning sensation that raced across his skin fed into his thoughts, churned his inner turmoil and coursed back into the fire.
The miniature blaze hissed into his ears, whispering insidious comments, small popping words and crackling phrases that boiled at the forefront of his mind. Hesitantly Red cracked an eye open, his pupils contracting sharply at what they found lying in wait in his hands. His eyes switched from the flame to the smiling Isaribi.
“Katon: Fire Release.” Isaribi announced, gesturing with a manicured hand at the flame he held. “It’s been called many things; the element of power, desire, or might. Its synonymous with willpower, the more mental force you can exert over your own released energies, the more you can manipulate them.” She said, and propped herself up on the log behind her, resting her elbows on its smoothed surface. “I’d say you exerted plenty of willpower over it.” She murmured and grabbed a twig. Tentatively she prodded it forward into Red’s flame, then pulled the burning needle of wood out, and over the fire to examine. “Fire Release is a strange elemental chakra,” She said softly, discarding the twig into the campfire.
“It becomes explosive when exposed to Fuuton—Wind Release—and transforms into the raw essence of the Earth when exposed to Doton—Earth Release. You can feed it with your thoughts and willpower, and sustain it on oxygen, or expose it to the earth and form the blood of the very rock we’re sitting on.” Isaribi continued to ramble poking idly at the coals forming in the bowels of the fire pit, carrying her wry grin.
Red released the flow of chakra and the flame vanished. His upperlip curled into a snarl, “What are you getting at, witch?!”
Isaribi smirked, and summoned blue fire down the length of the stick. “That’s a nasty derogatory term there….” She whispered in a deadly quiet tone. Isaribi leaned forward into a cross-legged position and looked across the campfire at Red . “We’re after the same thing, you and I.” She said coyly, jabbing her finger at him. “Both of us want to restore Kirigakure, and we both want to restore our honor. A shinobi and a witch, we’d make quite the interesting team.” She offered.

“I did pay you to teach me Katon. However, I’ll pay you more if you’re willing to teach me how to use it effectively.” Red answered coldly. “And if you don’t—“
“You’ll do what? Try to kill a witch?” Isaribi scoffed, and nodded towards the blade on the grass. The vegetation around the metal steamed, hissing out its scalding temperature. “Especially with complimentary elements, where do you expect to go in that sort of a clash?” She stood from her seat and brushed herself.
Red snorted derisively. “You want your money, and I want your knowledge…. As much as I dislike knowing that, we’re stuck together.”

(speed and strength and Dexterity)

The sun was shining, like a giant-golden orb, floating in the cyan sky. There was not a cloud in sight. The weather was truly beautiful. Birds were cawing happily in the green trees, and the wildlife was roaming around the forest. Some of the trees blocked out the sun, casting intruiging shadows upon the ground. But Red didn't mind. Today was a beautiful day.

Red was walking happily through the forests of the Sound. Today he was going to train his taiijutsu techniques, as well as practice one he had thought up the night before. He was quite excited, but also rather nervous. He had only planned this jutsu out logically in his head, but actually doing it would be a whole different story.

"At least the weather's on my side." Red thought happily to himself, the sun beaming down on his happy face. After walking for about 15 minutes, Red saw a clearing in the distance. That was his destination. It was one of his favourite training spots, mainly because it was quiet. Red was still rather excited, and he felt the emotion run up through his body. He picked up his pace from a walk to a slow jog.

A few minutes later, Red approached the clearing. He lay his backpack with some food and a few other things on the nearby log. The log had been there for as long as Red could remember. He just assumed it was a fallen tree or something. Wherever it had come from, it sure had it's uses from time-to-time. Red took a few steps in to the middle of the clearing, and took a deep breath.

Red thought about warming up, but he had just taken 20 minutes or so to walk here. Also, apart from being excited he had jogged the last few minutes for an ulterior motive. To help warm himself up. By doing a few stretches he made absolutely certain he wouldn't strain his body. There didn't seem to be anybody around incase anything did go wrong. "I'm sure I'll be fine." Red re-assured himself, in his head.

Now, it was time to practice his taijutsu. He would start off with the two taijutsu techniques he knew very well already: Cherry Blossom Impact and Painful Sky Leg. He was rather fond of these jutsu since he had learnt them in the academy. They were botha variant of the same jutsu, and Redwas equally good at both, he would use whichever created more ease for him in battle, though they mainly had the same effect.

Red's right fist lay limply at his side. He concentrated for a moment, then it felt full of energy. He looked down at his fist, and it pulsating with his bright-blue chakra. It took him great chakra control in order to do this, but seeing as he had been doing it for so long, it was like second-nature to him now. "Still, practice makes perfect." Red chuckled in his mind.

Lifting his fist up to shoulder height, Red shouted: "Cherry Blossom Impact!" With all his might, he brought his fist crashing to the ground. He felt it smash through the first interior of the earth, then he pulled it out. He looked at his fist for a moment, then the ground. The ground was shaking and disrupting. Peices of earth fell through crevises and other were wedged up against two. Red found the sight quite amusing, laughing to himself out-loud.

"You're going to have to be able to take more than that, Mother Nature." He chuckled. Next, was the Painful Sky Leg taijutsu. Used in the same way as Cherry Blossom Impact, he just had to focus the chakra to his foot, rather than his fist. Red liked to use this justu mainly with his heel, as it hurt him using the front of his foot. The main difference between Cherry Blossom Impact and Painful Sky Leg was, Painful Sky Leg often requires Red to be in the air to pull it off correctly.

Red turned around and jumped up on to the log next to his backpack, giving him several inches of extra height to aid him in his jump. He bent his knees, and pushed off the log somewhat like a kangaroo, leaping into the air. He felt the wind slashing against his body. He brought his leg up as far as he could, so his eyes were looking directly at his foot. As he begun his descent, he concentrated his chakra, this time to his heel. And let gravity bring him back down to earth.

When his body was only a few inches from the ground, he brought his leg smashing down, through the earth.Red felt even more disruption, and pulled it out again. Even more of the area had been battered and dislodged. If this kept up, he was going to have to call it a day soon because this area would become unfit for practice.

Now it was time for his third and final jutsu he planned on practicing today. He had only thought of the jutsu the night before, and had spent several hours drawing diagrams on how it would work and what results it would have. His results had shown it would be rather inaccurate, but he would have to work on that over time.

First of all, Red practiced concentrating chakra in the tips of his fingers. It was quite a hard body place to concentrate chakra in, especially with his smaller tenketsu. Though they did have their uses at times. His fingertips began to glow blue, telling him he had succeeded. "Excellent." Red smiled.

The next step would be to get enough height to pull the manouever off. Red used the same technique he had used for Painful Sky Leg, but it wasn't enough height. He looked at his surroundings to see if there was anything which could help him. Then he saw it. A tree which had been pushed further down to the earth by the shockwaves of his taijutsu earlier. He walked over to the tree, and clambered on to it. He began slowly walking up it, until he was at the edge. He was a good 10m off of the ground now. He concentrated chakra in the souls of his feet, as he didn't feel too safe without doing so. "This should be high enough." Red thought.

Then, he jumped off of the branch and in to the air. The branch sprung slightly as he did sow, being so far from the bough of the tree. Red flipped his legs behind him, and kept them straight, one slight crossed over the other. Then, he reached out his hands infront of him, and concentrated the chakra to his fingertips, like he had practiced. He put the palms of his hands together, and began to spin around in the wind. He could see his chakra flowing all around in front of him. To any passerby, it would look as if a blue drill were dropping out of the sky, hence why Red named this jutsu- "Spinning Drill!" he shouted, his voiced swirling through the wind.

Then, he felt contact with the earth. His whole body went slicing through it, in a perfect shape for him. Finally, Red ran out of force, and stopped spinning. He stood up, breatheless. He hadn't expected the jutsu to be so flawless on his first try. He ran up the hole he had created which was rather deep. Pulling himself out, with a beaming smile on his face. He had completed the basics of the jutsu. Next time he would have to use it in battle to improve it.

Red contemplated making aclone to fight against, but he had already had enough taijutsu for today. He grabbed his backpack, made sure he had everything with him. He took one last glance at the smashed up wasteland he had made. Then, he headed off home...

(speed and strength and Dexterity contuide)

A young shinobi, going by the name of Red, walks in an abundatly forested area. He is wearing a short sleeved shirt and comfortably loose jeans under his all black cloak. He has a small pack full of training scrolls and a wide assortment of ninja tools. The area is full of trees and is sorta likes the forest of death. He has the look of a slacker but due to his cloak noone can see his face and how bored he looks. The first thing he is thinking about working on is his Byakugan .

Red looks over to a practice dummy that is about as tall as him and is made out of multiple rotating arms. He steps up to it as if challenging it to a duel. He slowly begins to kick and punch the arms trying to practice close combat. Unsucessfully, Red gets hit in the head and arm by the arms and remembers that this is a way to practice striking and blocking. Soon he begins to pick up pace but as he does so does the movement of the arms so he continually gets thumped on his head, arms, and legs.

After about an hour of doing this, Red becomes exhausted and this is hen he decides to up his trraining. He moves four of them in a tight location and in a way so that all of their arms can move properly. They seem to have gotten taller and so the upper arms wont allow an aireal escape. Slowly, Red starts to hit the arms again but this time he is being hit more times and harder each time. One colides with his head and makes him off balance and dizzy. Because of it all of the arms he hit massacre him and he is bleeding now but determined to continue his training.

As he increases speed, the arms movements become more violent causing more painful hit and causing some bones to be broken in the process. He starts to weaken alittle in his resolve but knowing what he wants he is motivated to go on. As he focuses to stay up words resonate through his head. They are his fathers words speaking to him telling him, "Focus in order to master your clan abilities Focus." With these words going through his head his resolve becomes stelly as focuses on the movements of the arms. Slowly it seems that the arms on the dummies start to slow down a little and he is able to deflect them easily. Although this seems easier he does still get hit some and relizing that he has activated his Byakugan he slowly moves the dummies apart and walks to a tree. He goes under it and then drops down unconcious.

(speed and strength and Dexterity)

Ken’s feet shifted nervously where he stood, and his eyes were constantly looking around the area surrounding the Academy, trying to observe everything he possibly could. He and his team had already completed missions and a training session or two together, so it wasn’t like he was apprehensive about interacting with Akemi and Ken, but this time felt a little different. This time his sensei had specifically told him to meet her at the ninja academy in the village for some type of training, but it had sounded extremely vague at the time. And would Ken not be taking part on this particular training or something?

Red let out a deep breath, smiled, and let all of his concerns float away into nothingness. His worries were pointless, and it’s not like anything bad would come out of this. Becoming a part of Team Teikan was definitely one of the best things that had ever happened to the young Hyuuga.

Everyday after practice or after a mission had ended; he would rush home to his sick mother and kneel by her bedside, telling her detailed stories about his adventures and not-so adventurous experiences with his new friend and teammate Ken and Akemi-sensei. His mother would always smile so brightly when her son spoke that it was hard to believe that she was so weak and frail. But of course, that was only a temporary surge of strength and happiness.

A few young students training outside suddenly broke his train of thought, pulling Red out of his thoughts and back into reality. He remembered the days not too long ago when he was in their position, trying his hardest to graduate and move on to bigger and better things, all with the desire to make both his mother and the entire Hyuuga clan proud of him.

Not too much had changed since then. Red still worked tirelessly each day to grow stronger and gain more field experience in order to continue climbing the ranks and hopefully impress his clan and mother. And more specifically than just the Hyuugas in general, he wanted more than anything to prove himself even further to Akemi-sensei.

She had already spent so much time and effort to pass on her wisdom and experience to him and Ken, and Red would never forgive himself if he let her down. Besides, there was no way he could afford to fall too far behind and let Ken become too much stronger than him. It’s not like he had a constant desire to be more powerful than his teammate, but they could both become stronger if they continued to push each other and give each other the desire and drive to improve constantly. Friendly rivals were a hundred times more productive than apathetic teammates.

The genin quickly formed a fist and punched his open left palm, his expression becoming one of pure determination. No matter what special training would be thrown at him today, he would definitely master it quickly and thoroughly. For his own sake and for his sensei’s sake, he would make everyone proud!

He could already start to see the familiar silhouette of Akemi-sensei heading towards the rendezvous point, and Red quickly stood up straight and tried to look alert as his instructor approached. He was ready for anything, and absolutely nothing would take him off guard at this point, no matter how intense or unorthodox this training would be.

”Morning, Akemi-sensei! I’m ready to train!”

When Akemi had first been assigned team Teikan she had been reluctant, and even to a degree somewhat disappointed by the assignment, not due to any fault by her would be students, but rather because she felt it might slow her own pace in ANBU or in her own duties. Quite simply she hadn’t much liked the idea of being bogged down by a bunch of Genin…

These feelings though did not last long, being quickly replaced by anticipation at becoming the teacher rather than the student. By the time she met her team any reservations she might have previously held were long gone, leaving her anticipating finally getting this new chapter in her life started.

In the several months now since Team Teikan had come together, she had come to know her students well, they were bright Genin, promising shinobi, and exceptional young men. She had become quite fond of them… They had become as family to her, She was as proud of them as she was of Kaito.

Of the two students she had begun with from the start, Ken was definitely the greater mystery, his predilection for keeping silent and self imposed muting meant he was the one to open up the least and was the hardest to decipher. He often seemed distant and disconnected, yet at the same tended to demonstrate the most emotional attachment to them. Though often seemingly lazy, he’d none the less always came through for his team mates in the end, demonstrating uncanny loyalty despite his apparent detachment. Needless to say, he was a particular case.

Red for his part was nearly the opposite. Whereas Ken was often difficult for her to read, Red was like an open book to her. Part of this was due to just how similar they were. Aside from him being Hyuuga, his life was very similar to his own. Both had lost their father, both had been raised by their mother and trained by their uncle, both shared an affinity and aptitude for Taijutsu and had finished top of their classes in this domain. They even had the same natural elemental affinity to wind and fire. Akemi could even relate to the hardships he was going through with his mother, herself having lost hers after a prolonged period of illness.

It was almost an odd coincidence that he would be assigned to her tutelage, yet fitting, or so she though. IT was in part why she had called him to training alone without Ken today, hoping to, as a fellow Hyuuga, impart some of her knowledge and skill to one that so resembled her. Besides, Ken had come to her for private training a few days back, and she had been working with him quite a bit, it was only fitting that she would do so with Red as well…

When she had first asked him to join her for training on this day, Akemi had few actual details worked out, all she had was that felting that it was her responsibility to move him along the path of a true Hyuuga, as others had done for her. His uncle had done an admirable job thus far of course, but as his team Sensei, she felt compelled to do her part, it was her role after all. S

he had pondered greatly the previous night on what she would have him do until it finally came to her. By the time she found him in the Academy courtyard waiting for her, she was probably even more excited than he was…

”Morning, Akemi-sensei! I’m ready to train! ”

”Hello Red. Good morning to you to.” She replied with a smile and short bow before standing prostrate again, her gaze looking upwards to meet his own. The young man before her, though 4 years her younger, and still an adolescent, had several inches on her in height already. She could only image how tall he would end up at as an adult. This fact often left Akemi feeling a little stranger when looking at him as a teacher to a student. But she was beginning to get used to it.

”You seem energetic today, good! You’ll need it. Follow me.”

With that Akemi turned towards the outer gates of the Academy, heading underway towards one of the outer training fields... They’d need an open space for what she had in mind today... The field in questions was a few blocks away, and would take several minutes of walking to reach it. She had intended it that way, it would give them time to have a small talk as well as allow her the opportunity to describe what she had in store for him.

Her jovial smile eased as they got underway, talking on a more solemn tone, her gaze turning towards the young man once more.

”How’s your Mother doing today? I hope she’s feeling well. Please say hello to her for me when you see her later. ”

Akemi’s own mother had been ill for nearly 6 months before passing away, her illness slowly eating away at her body, sapping away at her strength and vitality. But an end had come eventually. And as hard as it was then, said end had at the very least brought closure. It had taken her a long time to truly come to grips with the loss, but it had perhaps been even more difficult anticipating the end and being powerless to stop it. At the very least now her mother had found peace after a long and arduous struggle and taken her place among her ancestors and the family had finally been able to grieve and mourn her passing.

As long as her own Mother’s suffering might have seemed, Red’s Mothers was ever longer. As Akemi understood it, she had been battling this illness gripping her for several years now. 6 Months had seemed like an eternity to Akemi, she could only image how difficult multiple years might be like for her student and his mother.

As a Med Nin she wished she could aid them but a simple field medic such illnesses were far beyond her expertise and knowledge. All she could do was offer whatever little comfort and support she could and pray for a positive outcome.

But enough, she had called upon him today for a different matter…

”I’m sure you must be curious as to what we’ll be doing today yes? Well the first thing we will be working on is your understanding of yourself and your capabilities. More specifically we’re going to be working on and exploring your blood heritage.”

She gave him a moment to consider the implications of what she had told him as they kept walking on. She wished him to understand the meaning of her words and what they entailed. Hyuuga in general were often considered geniuses and prodigies by the other clans, this was normal, and considering that Genin Hyuuga often held greater understanding and control of their own Chakra flow than even most non Hyuuga Jounin, it was no surprise that others would consider them so. But not all Hyuuga were equal.

Even among “Geniuses”, some were more gifted than others. Akemi for her part was often regarded as a prodigy among Hyuuga themselves, one of the clan’s brightest behind Neji they often said. She demonstrated remarkable chakra control even prior to joining the academy, and at the young age of 12, when most were only beginning to be able to perceive the chakra network, her eyes had been able to discern Tenketsus themselves, Not quite at the level as Neji had at the same age, but impressive none the less.

Yes, her Hyuuga blood ran thick in her veins, and she had great aptitude and talent, however she truly believed that much of her success was due in large part to the skill and knowledge of her instructors, as well as their ability to teach. From her Father, to her Uncle, to Akira-Sensei, to Neji-sama, to even Hokage himself… She had had the benefit of some of the best teachers in the clan and Konoha itself. Surely she would not be where she was today without them.

And that was the trick, looking at Red, she believed she saw the same talent and thickness of blood as existed in herself and all those that were deemed prodigies by the clan, all that he needed was a good teacher… Hopefully she would prove adequate to fill those shoes... This would be as much a test for her as it was for him.

” There’s a reason Hyuuga is considered the strongest clan in Konoha, and today we are going to explore why. I’m going to help you tap into that strength and show you how to use it to its full potential. if you will, we’re going to develop that strength within you. Do you understand? And are you up to it? ”

”Hello Red. Good morning to you to.”

Redcontinued to smile down at his sensei, his rush of energy remaining strong. He was already well accustomed to being taller than people much older than him, and he never really paid attention to it. He already knew that Akemi’s superior skill and knowledge were a hundred times more important than his physical height, and that’s obviously why she was the instructor. This training was going to be awesome.

”You seem energetic today, good! You’ll need it. Follow me.”

“Sure thing, Sensei!”

Slightly surprised that they were not going to be training at their meeting location, Red quickly picked up the pace and walked side-by-side with Akemi. He had to shorten his usual strides slightly to avoid getting too far ahead, but this was hardly an inconvenience for him. His senior clan member and teacher had taken time outo f her schedule to give him an individual training session, and he would walk halfway across the world to get to wherever they were headed.

And then without warning, Akemi’s face suddenly lost the smile and gained a more somber look. Red blinked and wondered what had suddenly altered her mood.

”How’s your Mother doing today? I hope she’s feeling well. Please say hello to her for me when you see her later. ”

Well that explained it. Red’s smile disappeared just as fast as it had appeared, though he refrained from showing any sorrow in his eyes. Instead, his expression simply blanked out into a sort of neutral state, devoid of both joy and sadness.

“She’s doing pretty well, even after all this time. She can move around the house a few times a day, but most of her time is spent in bed. I think she tries to smile more and appear healthier when I am around, so I don’t know the full truth. I wish she would stop trying to protect me like that. I’m not a kid anymore…”

Red quickly shut his mouth when he realized that he probably shouldn’t be talking so much about this topic, at least not right now. This wasn’t the right time or place to discuss this subject in-depth. He had heard the stories of Akemi going through an extremely similar situation to his, and she could probably sympathize with him, but he could always find a more appropriate time in the future to talk about that.

“Sorry for going off on a tangent. I’ll make sure to pass on your regards to her when I return home later, Akemi-sensei.”

”I’m sure you must be curious as to what we’ll be doing today yes? Well the first thing we will be working on is your understanding of yourself and your capabilities. More specifically we’re going to be working on and exploring your blood heritage.”

Red blinked a few times and tried to comprehend exactly what his teacher was trying to tell him. Understand himself and his capabilities? He was pretty sure that he already knew almost everything about his own level of skill. He had already sparred with other genin several times, and he had been on a couple official missions already. How else could he possibly figure out how far his abilities went?

And as for exploring his bloodline, that was slightly more understandable. The Hyuuga clan abilities were deep and extensive, and even the most prominent members of the clan could always continue to improve their skills and learn even more about what their Byakugan and Jyuuken can do.

So then was Akemi going to try to help him expand the limits of his Hyuuga abilities? Truthfully, he still had a very long way to go. He knew how to control the chakra being released from the tenketsu in his palms and other areas of his body in order to perform strikes to his opponent’s chakra system, but he still could not really see the tenketsu in another person’s body. Sometimes he could see small dark blurs on his opponents’ bodies, but usually it remained useless in battle.

He could certainly learn a lot more about the Hyuuga and how to use his own strengths to his advantage, and Akemi was certainly the right person to help him in that area. She was probably one of the strongest Hyuugas in the world, and Red was incredibly honored to have the chance to train and even complete missions forh is village with such a respected and powerful person.

”There’s a reason Hyuuga is considered the strongest clan in Konoha, and today we are going to explore why. I’m going to help you tap into that strength and show you how to use it to its full potential. if you will, we’re going to develop that strength within you. Do you understand? And are you up to it?”

So his guessing really had been correct! Now an even greater excitement filled Red in anticipation of this new training. He would definitely become a famous and powerful Hyuuga in the future and make everyone proud, especially Akemi, since she was the one who was trying her best to help him reach his goals. Nothing would get in his way now, and then he would be able to show Ken how much stronger he had become. Now he was really pumped up for this.

”I understand completely, Akemi-sensei! I am ready and willing to complete any training exercises that you give me!””

”Very well then” Akemi smiled, pleased at his resolve and determination. They would have a lot of work ahead of them, she had a lot to teach him, and he would have a lot to discover on his own. But she was confident he could do it. Either way, they’d take it one lesson at a time, and one day at a time.

As their training ground came into sight, Akemi sped her pace and proceeded to give him greater details of what was to come.

”Our clan are blessed with many gifts, many advantages, The Byakugan is the best known of these gifts but its only one of our blood inheritances. The ability to control our chakra like none other can is another one of those gifts granted to us, and is in itself a potent weapon. Without it, our clan’s most advanced techniques would be impossible. ”

She then stepped off the road onto a grassy path and through the gates leading into the training field. She raised her hand just under two feet in front of her, her palm facing up and began emitting a gentle steady stream of Chakra of enough intensity to be visible to the naked eye. Turning her gaze towards him to make sure he could see what she was doing, she went on.

”Chakra control could imaginably make you invulnerable to Genjutsu, and could grant you a counter to nearly all Ninjutsu. How? Simple, how can an enemy alter your chakra flow to trap you in an illusion if you can completely control that flow in its slightest… And remember the basics of Jyuuken that you have learned, anything made of Chakra can be destroyed by infusing another chakra into it. This is true of an opponent’s body or an opponent’s jutsu. Anything made of Chakra is vulnerable to a Hyuuga master... ”

Indeed Akemi had had plenty of chances to test this theory, from destroying puppeteer’s chakra strings, to countering a Nara’s Shadows by infusing her own chakra into said shadows as they attempted to ensnare her. In terms of defense, the Hyuuga clan’s superior chakra control and their remarkable eye sight and ability to detect everything in their surroundings meant they were on a league of their own, or at least had the potential of being so.

”By enhancing your chakra control you’ll be able to stand against your foes in ways they you haven’t even begun to imagine yet. You’ll be able to push your body far beyond what is possible to you now. Not to mention many other possibilities and advantages that in time will become clear to you. ”

They were finally here, having walked onto the field she did not stop, rather making her way towards the center of it, putting the final touches on her little speech.

”First however, we will begin with your eyes. Your eyes are the key, they will reveal to you the reality surrounding you, they will allow you to see what you need to to achieve your potential. Perception is the first part of knowledge, it leads you to awareness. As a Hyuuga your abilities to perceive are unmatched, the Byakugan’s gift of insight unequaled. These eyes are a our clan’s most precious gift… They reveal the world to us as it truly is with crystal clarity. They are the foundation of everything for us. Without them we would not be able to control our chakra as completely as we can, and we could not wield Jyuuken as we do. ”

Coming to a stop she turned to face him, her stare now intense and focused, locked onto his own eye.

”You are going to learn a bit about how and why your eyes work as they do, and then I’m going to show you how to use them to see even further, to see even that which is invisible to them…”

Taking a few steps back from him she give him a quick smile and nod.

”Alright, let’s begin… Show me your eyes!”

”Byakugan!”

Red did as his sensei asked. He charged at her with all his foucse as he slams his fist into the sensei, making it vibrate slightly before making contact to cause internal damage as well.

She quickly made handsigns and turn to mud advioding the attack."Good Red" She said to him."Your form look amazying.

Red used his Byakugan to spot her out and flicker infront of her.He performs a spinning kick to sweep his snsei off her feet. But he dose not stop their he leap into the air and slams his heel into her chest.

The attack chaught her off graud she fails to the ground and moans when his foot hit her chest. His sensei gasp for air as it becomes hard for her to breathe.

Red's sensi was suffering from a sever heart probelm this why she was only traing genin. But her doctor di not want her sparing or fighting because blows to the chest could be harzdous. But red didn't know this when he attacked her.

"Ok thats enough for to day" she said to him.

(speed and strength and Dexterity)

What a year it had been, since graduating from the Academy, he had for the first time stepped foot outside of rice patties country, traveling as far as Snow Country. he had gone under cover as a Prince, helped protect a queen. he had fought against assasins, Black Lotus villains, Rogue Hyuuga’s even an Akatsuki. he had participated in a tournament, and done quite well. Become a member of the ANBU Med-Nin Unit. had signed a Summoning contract with the Mountain Hawks and made a whole host of new Friends. Ranmaru, Neiklot, Renzen, Ryoku, Hikari, Axel, Tsuneo, and so many more…

he couldn’t believe just how much had happened to his, how much He had accomplished, how much he had learned. Some times looking back at it all it almost seemed impossible that he should have seen so much… this one year had seen more happening to him…with him, then nearly the entirety of the rest of his life. It was all so overwhelming. One thing was certain however…he wasn’t that same person that had graduated from the academy all those months ago. he wasn’t the same Redany more. he was Growing up.

Yet for all that had happened it seemed to have gone by in a flash, Some times he wondered if it had all truly happened as he remembered it, perhaps some of it had only been in his imagination, or embellishments of the truth…Well it all seemed real enough. and it was all just the beginning.

The Monday morning, one week ago, he received the letter, an invitation of sorts. Apparently some one had seen fit to nominate him for this year’s genin exams, perhaps Akira Sensei?... And apparently the Kage…or who ever it was that had made the final decision to allow him to participate had agreed. he couldn’t help but be excited by the whole thing. he had rushed to tell his mother the news, then his Uncle followed by his team mates. and friend. he had been beaming the entire day, the entire week even. Their was little that could have happened to him that could have possibly removed that smile from his face. It was one of the most exciting and happy times of his life.

That was then. This was now…

The morning had started on a bad foot, well technically the previous night had ended on that bad foot and had simply kept going into the morning. he hadn’t been able to sleep more then a few Hours. It was exam time. All the excitement and joy He had been feeling about being nominated had faded away, replaced by anxiety and apprehension… What if he failed, how then would that reflect on his record, on his accomplishments. What if not only did he fail but fail miserably…

he was keenly aware that failure rates at these exams were rather high. Even Neji, the Best and brightest young mind of his clan, had failed his first exams, beaten in his match by Naruto Uzumaki… Well he wasn’t the genius that Neji was, he knew that. How then would he be able to do what he had failed to… His best chance would come from proper planning and preparation, but how was He supposed to do that when he had no idea what the test would consist of… one worry after an other invaded his thoughts, one doubt followed by the next. This wasn’t like his, at least not like the “new” him…

A slight mercy was shown to him when he finally managed to fall asleep around 3:30AM, allowing him at least 2 hours of sleep. ”Better then nothing” he thought to himself when finally waking. Getting dressed and ready was an arduous process, each muscle, each fiber of his body begging his to return to bed. ”Now your tired…Pfff!”

His mother was already up, he was always up first, without fail, making breakfast, and being annoyingly optimistic and encouraging.

”Oh sweetheart you must be so excited! This is the big day”

Too much energy this early in the morning, too much liveliness… his half asleep mind thought. he just wanted to forget about the exam, at least for now, he’d have all day to think about it, particularly when he’d actually be doing it. Ughh…Why hadn’t he slept more!... he could cry. His head falling between his arms resting on the table. he’d wake up some 10 minutes later, his mother sitting beside him gently taking him by the chin and raising it to meet his eyes.

”Don’t be worried.” He reassured ”You’ll do just fine. He gave Red a quick kiss on the forehead followed by a warm smile.

”Now hurry and go see your uncle, he wants to see you before you head out for the Exams.”

half an hour later He stood at the gates of the sound along with a number of other Genin, all hopefuls about to take the test along with him. he recognizes a number of them, none from hisclass though. One Genin in particular caught his eye, Zatoichi, the blind young man he had faced off against at the Ninja world tournament, he was here. good he though, he deserves it…

It took a good twenty minutes before the exams actually began. A teady flow of Genin coming in, their total numbers growing. he had plenty of time to try to imagine what would happen, what they would have to do… but for once, whether due to fatigue or just plain anxiety he couldn’t come up with anything… he was drawing a blank. It was with quite a degree of surprise that Red, in I single blink inexplicably found his self no longer standing by the Gates to the sound with a number of other Genin but rather in the middle of a dense forest, alone.

This is it… he thought, The test has begun!

he found himself in a remote location of the woods. Where exactly He could not tell.

”How the hell…”

Funny how suddenly finding ones self seemingly teleported without explanation to an unknown location could shake away sleepiness. he was fully awake now, trying to understand what had just happened. One thing he was pretty sure about, the exam had begun. something caught his eye, a scroll laying on the ground a few feet from him. was that for him? of course it was… It had to be. he reached for it, picking it up hesitantly and bringing it up to his eyes for closer inspection. “Genin Hyuuga Red” he read on it's side. Openeding it to find a rather simple looking map indicating where he was, it also indicated that Sound was due north, a big red dot marked “Sound Gates” contrasting from the all black ink map drawing.

That was it? he had to make his way to the gates? could it be that simple? he pinpointed the sun still relatively low off the Horizon, “East… So north is that way.” Simple enough. With a strong chakra enhanced leap he jumped onto a large branch some fifteen feet of the ground for a better vantage point. Before doing anything he needed a better idea of his surrounding, if the test was about getting to the Gates then surely their was a catch. Were their traps? hidden Proctors waiting to ambush him, obstacles, etc…

For this he had an advantage over the other Genin…”Byakugan!” His sight reached out into the forest in all directions, he had recently increased his total awareness zone to around 100 meters around him. seeing everything within that radius, perfectly. Nothing! Their was nothing he could see within that distance. Ok... so instead he used his telescopic vision to reach out to over a mile directly ahead of him, still nothing… The path was clear. What kind of test was this?... A first year Academy student could find his way to Konoha with little difficulty from here… what kind of Chunin exam was this? It couldn’t be that simple… their had to be twist. It dawned on him that this might all just be a race. They had been 8 at last count at the gate. was that it? all eight were spread out at equal distance from the gate and it was a race to see who got there first?

”Damn it!”

he bolted forward. If this was a race he had wasted too much time already… Stupid lack of sleep…why hadn’t he realized it before, who knew how much of a head start the others might have over him now… From branch to branch, tree to tree, he leaped from one to the next as fast as he could, pushing himself to the top speed s\he could manage. he’d slap himself for having been so slow to get going, if he failed his exam because of such a stupid mistake he’d find it hard to forgive himself.

some 20 minutes in, regardless of how he felt, He had to admit he had covered an impressive distance rather quickly…Wow At this rate he just might make it! he relaxed a little, his anxiety lessening, he was going so fast surely he had made up for any lost time. This wasn’t so bad… might just work out after all. he could feel his confidence building up within him. Incredible he was actually feeling lighter, faster…

Feeling rather good about himself at his point, a surge of energy spreading across his entire body. He felt great. how long had He been running? He turned east towards the sun, to see how much it had risen.... Odd it didn’t seem to have moved at all. in fact… it hadn’t. He came to a sudden stop. looking around his. He had been on the move for at least a half hour, He was sure of it, yet the sun hadn’t moved any higher in the sky. That was… ”impossible.”

He examined his surroundings carefully, He might even have been running for more then half an hour. The sun had to have moved! yet it hadn't. Their was only one explanation…

”Genjutsu!” With the realization came a sudden flash forcing his to close his eyes, opening them moments later to discover that He was still at the spot He had started from, the scroll with the map open on the ground at his feet. He had never left! How could that be?.. A genjutsu so strong that even his Byakugan had not been able to see through it. The scroll… The Genjutsu ensnared his after opening it!.. Damn thing!” He kicked it away in disgust. Looking up to find the sun… East was still where He had thought it was, meaning so was north. Their was no time to waste He had to get going! With that He was off.

1 hour into his run, his progress was steady, a decent sheen of sweat on his brow. It had been a cold morning, He had worn an under kimono for the extra warmth. a decision He was regretting now. He took no pride at his pace this time, no satisfaction, some thing He felt had cost his last time. He wasn’t sure just how much time He might have lost due to that Genjutsu, He just hoped He hadn’t been the only one to fall for that kind of trick. if He was lucky then the other Genin suffered a similar fate, if He was even luckier, then He was one of the first to figure it out and break free.

She’d look towards the sun every 10 minutes or so just to make sure that it was in fact moving in the sky. It was, thankfully. Still, It was rather strange that the Proctors should place such a potent Genjutsu seal on a scroll and have that be the only obstacle keeping the Genins from reaching the gates… Their had to be more, but his Byakugan couldn’t see anything. however concidering how that Genjutsu had fooled even his eyes then it was a distinct possibility that their were plenty of other things out there that He couldn’t see.

He stayed focused on his task, annoyed at his arrogant pride from earlier, a pride that had in part contributed to keeping his from realizing that He was in an illusion. He wouldn’t let that happen again. An observer might actually think He was brooding, and to a degree He was. if their was one thing He hated, was when his vaunted eyes seemed outdone by something. He always took it as a personal insult, a personal failing.

He was advancing quickly, so far no troubles presented themselves, every thing seemed alright… normal… real. Still He felt uneasy, the prospect of his Byakugan not being able to see what was out there troubled his greatly, who knew what He might fall into next. He was very well aware that He relied on his Doujutsu far too much. the Proctors seemed to know this about his as well, and were using it against his. Sneaky bastards. He had to do something about that, lest it bite his in the ass sooner or later. So what to do, take an indirect route, one the Proctors would not have expected his to take therefore less likely to be booby trapped? no! He had no assurances that they didn’t spread their traps out wide, nor that they weren’t out there themselves laying those traps as He progressed. Besides, if this was a race then last thing He needed was to loose more time by taking an indirect, longer route. He had to think of something else…. He came to a stop. ”Almost forgot” a smile made it’s way onto his lips. He reached into his Weapons pouch to cut his thumb on a stowed Kunai… followed by forming a number of hand seals and finally slamming his hand on the branch under his feet.

”Summoning Jutsu!”

…………….. Nothing………………….”What’s the meaning of this” What the hell had happened? why hadn't Yiga been summoned?.. Were the proctors some how blocking his Summoning jutsu? they couldn’t… their was no way to do that… it wasn’t possible… Something wasn’t right. Had He already stepped into one of their traps without realizing it? He fired off his hands seals once again and slammed his hand down as before.

”Summoning Jutsu!!”

…Once again, Nothing! "Crap this isn’t good". He was getting nervous, He had definitely unknowingly fallen into some something, it was the only explanation. He quickly dropped off the branch down to the ground below and raced to conceal himself behind a large near by tree with a bush at it's base. He pushed his eyes more forcefully now, He had to see what was happening, their had to be something out there. He wouldn't risk moving until He found it. Several moments passed by as He searched. Nothing!... Wait... A flash... Like last time... not just one, many flashes... Over and over. "what the..."

"He he, I think He breaking through it... like last time"

Where was that voice coming from? It sounded as if it was coming from some one standing right beside his... But their was nobody there or any where else to be seen.

"No surprise. The Drug must be wearing off by now"

Where were these voices coming from?... and what were they talking about… what Drug? Damn it! He wanted answers, nothing was making sense. The very world around his began melting away, Twisting and distorting as it tore itself apart. The scene was quite disorienting to his , but slowly reality began shining through, as the false world faded away.

He had felt Genjutsu’s before, this one had been quite different, now that it was gone, true reality had emerged, what He had perceived moments ago as reality seemed little more then a dream to his now. In fact He felt as if He actually was just now waking up. On top of that He felt an unusual grogginess, and disorientation…

”I told you to give his another dose…”

There was the voice again, Who was that. as He attempted to turn, his as yet still numbed mind, realized that He was still somewhere in the woods, laying on the ground and could hardly move. his hands and feet were tied. He shook his head to try to focus his thoughts..

”Nah, that dose was enough, it did it’s job, let his wake up, it doesn’t matter any more. besides, look at her… the drug’ll keep his messed up for a while still.”

They had given his a drug?.. Was that why He felt so odd, so disconnected…

”Come on let’s go get the other the other one, these two ain’t going anywhere.”

He finally caught a quick glimpse of the two men who’s voices He had been hearing, distorted, unfocused glimpses. He watched as they walked away until finally loosing sight of them. The drug they had spoken about, it was messing with his sight, with all his senses. Had all that running just been a figment of his imagination? Had He been hear from the start? damn it. He needed to be able to think straight… He needed to get rid of the drug in his system.

his Med Training had covered Drugs and their effects on the body with quite a bit of detail, and had taught his a number of methods to counter their effects. He knew several antidotes of sorts, all mean to drive the drug out of the body, but that was useless right now, He was in no position to gather the ingredients needed, prepare the potion or administer it with his hands tied up as they were. He had seen Chakra used by a medic to force a drug out of a patient as well, but that too was useless, their were no medics around to do that with his. so what else. A very basic method of to get rid of a drug in a system, He had learned, was to have that system in a sense "metabolize" it out, burn through the drug, until it was finally worn out. That was it, his only option, luckily for his, the drug, from what He gathered from the two men’s conversation, was nearly done. That meant his system had gone through most of it, burning through the rest shouldn’t be to hard. at least He hoped. He just needed to concentrate.

his chakra network began firing up, It’s flow increasing steadily. He would use his chakra flow to increase his metabolism, his heart rate, pulse, respiration, etc... He hoped that this would prove efficient, burning through the drug faster. Their was a problem though, He couldn’t get his chakra flow to increase to the point He wanted it too, it was as if He was being blocked from using chakra beyond a certain limit. Odd… was that an effect of the drug? It didn’t matter however, within five minuted his focus improved his vision became clearer. He was finally able to think properly.

Next problem were the binds on his hands and feet. Academy training 101 “Nawanuke no Jutsu” also known as “Escaping techniques” The name some what misrepresented the actual technique, it wasn’t a Jutsu or technique per say, but rather many different techniques to attempt to escape many different possible confinements and restraints. It was a class of it’s own during the first year at the academy. She’d be putting several of those techniques to use on these binds, attempting several methods of breaking loose before finally finding one that worked. his hands were free. He quickly sat up and got to work unbinding his feet. That was when He noticed He wasn’t alone. Another Genin, tied up as He was laid no more then half a dozen feet away from his. his feet free He jump up to rush over to the other captive. The movement was too swift, He was struck by severe dizziness all of a sudden and fell to the ground . The drug, though nearly gone from his system wasn’t completely so just yet, his faculties were still very much being affected by it. once his dizziness subsiding He tried again more slowly, this time He made it just fine, and headed to the other Genin.

He didn’t recognize him, but he was leaf, or so his head band indicated. Shaking him He tried to wake him up, ”wake up!.. wake up! He whispered close to his ear trying to make as little sound as possible. but it was no use he was still too heavily sedated by the Drug. Water… maybe if He splashed water on his face… reaching to grab his canteen… it was gone, all his pouches were, his weapons, Med supplies, all gone. ”Arrr

Voices again, those men were returning…

He formed a quick succession of hand seals…

Bunshin no Jutsu!

A clone materialized beside his and headed to lay on the floor where He had been earlier, pretending to still be in binds. Red himself jumped to hide on one of the upper and more leaf concealed branches on the nearest tree.

”great plan..great plan. place a drug in the scrolls placed through out the forest for the Genin, when they open it they breath in the Drug and all we have to do is go collect them… Except what about if they don’t open the Goddamed Scroll!!!

So that was it….

”Relax! So one idiot kid just bolted without picking up his scroll… We don’t need to catch them all anyways, that was never the plan. we just need a few of them. once we show up with 4 or 5 Genin hostages, Konoha will give us what we want. We’ll get that Jutsu scroll, don’t worry.

These guys weren’t proctors! This was trouble. if these guys weren’t proctors then this wasn’t part of the test. Oh man, He had to do something. He was still too groggy and disoriented from the drug to consider going in with hand to hand. Best to take them with a long range attack. “Raiton Shuurai” would do just fine. Forming a series of 7 seal and readied his hands expecting the customary arcing surges of electricity to surround them … this time however their was nothing… He couldn’t call up sufficient chakra, some thing was still limiting how much of it He could use… Damned Drug! Most of his more potent Ninjitsu required quite a bit of Chakra, as did all of his Hakke techniques. More chakra then He could call upon at the moment, this was very bad. it meant that He would be limited to more basic techniques, E and D ranked stuff most likely. He sighed… what a day…

”So Red, you’re too disoriented due to the drug still to go in with Taijutsu and you’re Ninjutsu is limited to basic techniques only… so…what’s the plan then?”

He wasn’t sure but He had to think of it fast, one of them men was heading towards his Clone. ”Retreat… the plan is to retreat until we can regroup or find help!” great now move!!!! He leaped out of the branch heading straight for the ground between the two men, both looked up in surprise to see what it was that they heard coming towards them.

”What the hell…”

The moment He hit the ground his right hand reached for the sky.

”Hirameki no Jutsu!”

A blinding flash fired off from it blinding all that saw it. the two men pulled back to protect their eyes moments too late. they had fallen victim to his technique, but He had to hurry, they wouldn’t stay blinded for long, and the jump and long fall down had dizzied his again significantly. He rushed towards the still unconscious Genin and picked him up.. ”Crap he’s heavy. Complain later… Run now!!! He rushed into the dense woods running as fast as He could. He could hear the two would be hostage takers yelling out obscenities at his from where He had left them. Trying to activate his Byakugan to see behind his, to see what those men were up to it didn’t work his vision just distorted. No!... focus, worry about it later… He couldn’t waist time with that now, He had to run, a task made all the more difficult by the spinning in his head.

The Genin on his shoulders began to stir, well at least that was something, hopefully he’d wake up soon because He wouldn’t be able to carry for too much longer, and He could definitely use his help.

some tn minutes later He couldn’t run any more. the young man’s weight along with the pace He had taken and the drug still coursing in his system exhausted his. He looked for a god concealed spot to hide for a while, finding a small spot against a large bolder hidden by heavy bushed He headed in and put down the young man.

”5 minutes… just to catch my breath.. then we head out again…”

(speed and strength and Dexterity contuieing the pervious post and also I have to more post befor this one)

Two hour’s late

his eyes slowly opened to the now noon day sky. He had fallen asleep. his eyes quickly moved to scan the scene around his, They were still safe, still where He had stopped off for a rest. Well..No harm done, He thought, though still not too proud of having not been able to stay awake. Still though, He was feeling much better now. his vision and senses were back to normal, his head and thoughts much clearer. That was a relief.

Another piece of good new was that the Young man He had rescued was now conscious, if still quite a bit disoriented. realizing that He had never cut his binds He did so now. before looking him over. His pupils were still quite dilated, He’d be feeling the effects of the drug for some time still.

”Are you ok?... how are you feeling?... How many fingers do you see?” He asked with his hand raised. It dawned on his that his questions had come out out rather cold sounding… his Med training having kicked in, He had been less then reassuring.

”It’s ok, take it easy… You’ll be fine, just relax.”

He sighed, what was He supposed to do next. Was this all part of the test? or were those two really out here trying to kidnap Genin… What ever the case He needed to treat it as real. So assuming that it was, now that He was feeling better should He go and confront those two kidnappers? leaving this young man behind in the mean time. Or should He try to go get help and most likely allow those bastards enough time to go collect other unsuspecting genin?... Who knew how many might have fallen into their hands while He had been here sleeping. Well maybe, if He was lucky she’d be able to catch a glimps of them from here.

”Byakugan!”

his efforts to activate his Doujutsu were met with the same distorted vision as the previous time, hitting his with numbing dizziness. Why?! what He still suffering side effects from the drug? Frustrated He ended his attempt, his eye sight returning to normal. Just great! How much worse could this day get…

”Where…where am I…Who are…Who are you”

his gaze lowered to meet that of the young man laying on the ground in front of his. Realizing just how confused he must be, He tried to comfort him.

”It’s Ok, your safe. My name is Akemi… Hyuuga. you’ve been drugged, but the effects are wearing off now. just relax, you’ll feel better very soon. He might be reassuring him, but he wasn’t so sure himself. his inability to use his Byakugan left his very uneasy, without it He almost felt blind. those Two men could be anywhere right now, they could be moments away from finding their little hiding spot and He couldn’t tell. It was quite unsettling.

”Druged?... What drug…I’m taking the Chunin Exam.. I’m…” The boy spoke without so much as moving, just laying there on the ground, to look at him one might think him exhausted of all energy. He had to keep him quiet though, at least have him keep his voice down, lest they use it to find them.

”Shhh, It’s ok, please kept your voice down, we don’t want the proctors finding you now do we…” that seemed to work... for now.

Ok… First order of business, He needed intel quick. If He couldn’t use his eyes to find those two, then she’d call some one in that could.

Biting down on his thumb to draw blood and forming the needed seals He slammed his hand to the ground.

”Summoning Jutsu!”

The summoning seals appeared where his hand had struck but then suddenly pulled back and disappeared. No! not this again!.. He wasn’t able to focus enough Chakra, just like when He had attempted to use his Raiton earlier, meaning He still couldn’t use his more potent Jutsus. What kind of drug was this?

Actually He was hoping that it was in effect the drug, or otherwise i might very well mean that He was still under the effects of a Genjutsu…

He let himself fall onto his back. looking towards the sky… What a day. Resuming his options. He was without Byakugan, without his Hakke or more advanced Jyuuken maneuvers, and without his more potent and advanced Ninjutsus, and He was without weapons. Fantastic… So what did that leave her… That left his with a whole list of Academy grade techniques, a drugged and incapacitated ally. and little else. At least He would still be able to use his standard Jyuuken techniques… well most of them, He wouldn’t be able to use those that required the sight granted by the Byakugan, not for now at least. He exhaled forcefully… Just great…

”Are you a proctor?... his companion asked and he forced himself into a sitting position. He looked at him carefully, at least he had kept his voice down. Did that mean is was sobering up?

”No. I’m taking the exam as well.”

The look of confusion on his face lasted for a few moments as his reduced faculties fought to seize onto the information He had provided. Finally seeming to understand he continued.

”You’re one of the examinees… What’s happening. I was at the gates and then… then I saw you… no wait… their was a scroll...”

Exactly how it had been for his. From what He could gather, what ever technique it was that they had used, the proctors had knocked out all the students and spread them out into the woods leaving each with a scroll indicating their objective. Apparently, before they could regain consciousness, those two men had tampered with the scrolls, placing a sort of Drug within them. Probably in the form of a powder. When the Genin opened it then the powder would be released into the air and get inhaled by the him. and that was that. they’d be ensnared at that point. of course this could all be a part of the test, it could all have been set up by the proctors, He had no way of knowing. if it wasn’t then the proctors would soon begin wondering why none of the Genin were crossing the finish line, they’d probably send people to find out what was happening. So much for this years Chunin exams… If it was part of the test and was still a sort of race then their was no way He could win while carrying the young man He had rescued, and He wasn’t about to take the risk of leaving him here, So again.. so much for the Chunin exams. The young man was still awaiting his answer…

”I’m not sure what happened. all I know is that I woke up and was tied down and had been drugged. I managed to free my self and found you there as well. I escaped and carried you here. That’s where we’re at… I don’t have any other answers for you right now.

They both went silent at that point neither talking again for some time.

He couldn’t stay like this. He had to do something. Run, fight, what ever… but staying here wasn’t an option. sooner or later they would either need to move or end up being found. He needed a plan. Sitting up He turned to his companion.

”What’s your name? Can you stand?”

He tried getting up… It was a slow process, but he finally managed it. Good, that was a first step. He wouldn’t be running any races for a little while longer but still.

”My name… It’s Hiro”

He gave him a smile before standing up himself.

”Nice to meet you Hiro… We need to get moving. It isn’t safe to stay here.”

They were making decent progress. Slowed slightly by the dense woods and his companions limited mobility, but still, they were doing good. So far they hadn’t seen any sign of pursuit nor found any traps neither one placed by proctors or the Kidnappers... which was both good and not so good. Good in that it saved them the hassle of having to take care of them, and not so good because it just didn’t seem right that their should be none.

They had been moving for nearly an hour now, heading North, towards the Konoha. Red hoped that the closer they got to the gates the more likely they would find help, whether help in the form of Genin, Chunin or what ever to help hunt down those two bastards and mount a rescue if need be of other Genin captives. Or help could also come in the form of a medic that could help Hiro… Any thing would do really.

Hiro was breathing heavily, but his pace steadily increased as time went on, his motor functions became more and more stable, smooth, controlled. Not only this but his wits and reasoning skills seem to improve quite a bit, he was almost sobered up now, though his senses were still heavily being affected.

As they moved along He had asked for any info He mind be able to give him to shed some light on their situation, He had told him every thing He knew, every thing He had seen. keeping nothing from him. It seemed only fair. He was in the same boat after all, and if this was a test and he was a proctor then he would already know anyways so it didn’t matter.

”So… You think this is part of the test? I mean, do you think this is all some kind of scenario…”

It was of course a distinct possibility or course, probably even likely. He just didn’t know for sure, and didn’t know what to say. He just gave him a shrug.

”Cause you know if it is then this sucks… It's not fair, I mean right off the bat drugged and knocked out. How’s that fair… if you hadn’t gotten me out of there then I’d still probably be out cold.”

He had a point there, what kind of unfair test would that be… Maybe it wasn’t so likely that this was part of the test after all. That didn’t particularly comfort his. What was He doing! He should be trying to take those bastards down, but He couldn’t just leave Hiro alone, what if they found him. He had to take care of him first.

”Akemi… I need to stop. I need a breather…”

It wasn’t a good idea, but He could see the exhaustion on his face. He wouldn’t be able to go on for much longer.

”Alright… 10 minutes”

They stopped and discretely made their way behind a tree. Sitting down Hiro took in several deep breaths. Red himself sat a little further keeping watch. The drug was still slowing him down. He was surprised he had been able to go on so long. He didn’t want to stay here too long, not out of fear of being found but rather because He wanted to find help for Hiro as quickly as possible so as to be able to head out to find the two bandits and any other Genin that might have fallen into their trap. It left his uneasy just sitting here, who knew what was happening out there.

”So… Do you think we should go back? maybe we should do something to stop those guys…”

Yes they should He thought. or rather He should. Hiro himself was in no position to do anything right now. it would probably be several hours before he would be in any shape to get into a fight. He on the other hand, though far from 100% could do something, He felt like He should but the Medic in his told his to take care of his patient first. The ninja in his told his to find back up, in his condition He couldn’t give it his all, and if He failed and fell in combat then who else would warn Konoha?..

”Maybe.. but neither of us is in much shape to do anything at this point. Getting help and warning the Proctors is the best option right now.”

He knew that to be true as much as He hated saying it.

He tried to focus chakra into his eyes to activate his Byakugan, once again it distorted his vision utterly, forcing his to turn it off once again. “Ughhh…” frustrated by the attempt He got impatient... Surely they had been sitting here long enough, It had to have been 10 minutes now… they had to get moving, others were most likely depending on them swiftly warning Konoha.

”Alright Hiro… let’s get going.” He said as He stood up briskly… their was no time to waste.

”Right!” he responded, taking in a deep breath before getting up in turn. He put his arm onto his shoulders to help support him as they traveled. easy enough, he was quite a bit taller then He was…

”How the hell did you carry me anyways?...” he asked laughingly.

He couldn’t hep but let out a laugh of his own… ”Chakra.”

”Chakra... He did get to finish his sentence, the moment they stepped out from behind the tree they were met by a barrage of a dozen Kunai racing for them. He through Hiro clear to the ground before himself leaping clear of the incoming projectiles. Damn... they had been found!

Landing to role on the floor once before bouncing to his feet, one of the two kidnappers was immediately on his coming in with a punch… Damn it! He jumped backwards trying to put distance between the two of them but he kept coming. Normally He would have activated his Byakugan for this fight, allowing his to perfectly see and track all of his movements with precision, no matter where they came from. but He couldn’t, his Doujutsu wasn’t working. Rather He would have to do this the same way every one else did it. with normal vision. The difference was of course more then evident to his, movements harder to follow, harder to see coming. not to mention how hard it had become to follow multiple movements at once. He wasn’t used to fighting like this. retreating He almost tripped twice, once on a root He hadn’t seen as He walked backwards into it and the second time as He stumbled on a rock.

Despite his difficulties He was managing to block most of his blows, his hands moving to meet as many of them as possible while the rest He dodged skillfully. A kick came rushing towards his head, seeing it a moment after it left the ground He let himself fall into a crouch which He immediately translated into a spinning foot sweep, causing his opponent, now wit hone leg high in the air, to fall on his back, hitting the ground hard. Not as easy as with the Byakugan but still it wasn’t so bad… or was he just not that skilled?..

”Akemi!” He turned to face where the scream had come from ”Hiro!!” the second man had grabbed him. He didn’t have much time, quickly before he leaves with him! his right hand rose towards the sky.

”Hirameki no Jutsu!” Flair Technique

Too late, before his technique could be activated a hand reached to grab his by the wrist from behind, pulling on his hard lifting his off his feet and launching his several meters away to slam violently into a tree trunk.

”Not this time dumb young man!”

He hit the tree hard, hit ribs-first into its massive trunk, his arm had still extended out for his jutsu. Immediately falling to the ground, the air had been knocked out of his, He was having difficulties inhaling, on top of the sensation of his lungs compressing, each time He force air in He felt a stabbing pain on his side, where He had impacted with the tree. Had He broken some of his ribs?…

”Uugghhhhnn ...” Groaning as He lay rolled up into a ball, unable to let go of his abdomen and side, each time He tried He felt a rush of excruciating pain shoot up and down his body as if to punish his for even thinking about it.

”Stop fooling around and grab his already!” the one holding on to Hiro called out. This one was the bulkier of the two men, far more muscular then the one He had just fought. he also seemed to be the brains of the operation. his own opponent was tall but rather scrawny, but his legs and arms were very long granting them exceptional reach. An ugly man, with his messy short brown hair, last few teeth and wretched look on his face.

”Ha ha… did you see how I through her… like a freaking feather heh…” He laughed as he approached his.

He couldn’t believe he had gotten his so easily, that would never have happened with his Byakugan, he could never have snuck up on his like that ”Deal with it!! You can’t use Byakugan right now!” That was true, He had to put aside all these useless considerations and deal with the situation at hand, He didn’t have his Byakugan nor did He have his more potent Taijutsus or Ninjutsus, nor did He have his weapons either, but He was hardly defenseless…”Here he comes… Get up girl! get up!!! Move… move…move!! As he reached to grab his He bolted upwards using chakra to plant his feet onto the tree trunk He had impacted against moments ago and began running up it’s length. his stomach and right lung protested, firing off waves of pain throughout his body, but their was no time for that right now, He was fighting for his life. He had to ignore it!

Once his surprised had passed he bolted up the tree after his. He had gained a head’s start but he, unhindered by pain was moving much faster then He was, he‘d catch up momentarily. Once he had his he’d take great pleasure throwing his off the tree to crash on the ground below. A sick grin crept across his lips.

Looking back He could see him closing in… Perfect. That’s right, keep coming you sick bastard. He veered off the trunk onto one of the trees larger branches. finally running horizontally once again. Academy Basic Training… Use your environment and what you find within it… a smart ninja is never unarmed. As He ran along the branch their were many smaller branches growing out of it. He grabbed hold of a thin flexible stem breaking it free while still on the move. He had a 3 foot length of it, a half inch think at it’s widest. the branch itself was rather moist, wet, meaning it would be very flexible making for an excellent make shift whip... He had his weapon. Time to stop and turn to face his adversary. It took no more then three seconds and he was on his, trying to grab his. He somersaulted into the air over his head swinging his make shift whip at his face hitting hard dead center between the eyes. With a screech he immediately brought both his hand to his face in response to the stinging pain.

Perfect, there was his chance! He immediately moved in sliding the make shift whip around his neck, grabbing both sides of it and twisting from behind him. With a kick to his legs He forced him off balance, and pushed him on the branch they were standing on while He let himself fall to the opposite side of it still holding on to his make shift whip wrapped around his neck. His body falling to one side of the branch while his head was pulled to the opposite side. His neck snapped as it impacted with the branch while being pulled in opposite directions. He was dead… He had his own problems his make shift whip snaped along with the neck it had been wraped around leaving his to fall towards the ground far below. ”Oh oh… think.. think.. think.. think…

Luckily the forest in this regions was particularly dense, heavy with crisscrossing branches and trunks. half way down He came just close enough to a branch to reach out and grab hold of it, stopping his fall. Pulling himself up to safety He made his way to the trunk and ran back down to the ground to face the second of the two men… the one with Hiro.

” Don’t get any closer or he dies you little young fool…” He was holding a Kunai to a now unconscious Hiro’s throat.

”Besides… What do you think would happen to the other Genin we’ve captured if you killed me. just laying there in the middle of nowhere tied up and drugged.” He added arrogantly.

He halted his advance, clutching once again at his ribs. his breathing heavy… He hoped he was bluffing, but knew that he probably wasn’t. If they had gotten to all the scrolls then they most likely had captured most of the participating Genin. He wasn’t too sure how to proceed from here, that bastard had a hostage, many of them, and He didn’t have all of his usual tools available to his.

”We’re leaving! I see so much as bark that reminds me of you and this one dies. Best you not to follow.” With that he and Hiro flickered away and were gone. He fell to his knees, clutching more tightly to his ribs and gut. The pain He had been ignoring, trying to suppress flooding back in to be heard and felt once again.

”Oh crap.. that hurts…! He groaned. letting himself fall to the ground.

He had been near motionless for what must have been 10 minutes now. Pain still very much letting his know He was hurt… but it was subsiding slowly. Not slowly enough however, she’d have to fight with that pain… As if He didn’t have enough problems right now.

It was time to get up… He lifted himself to a sitting position, breathing in deep breaths. He have to get under way if He hoped to catch up with Hiro and his captor. He had to rescue him… He had to rescue them all. Their wasn’t time to look for help any more. It was up to his.

Standing up He took a quick look around his. Academy Basic Training, Tracking! All travel left a trace behind… something to indicate an individuals passage. Whether disturbed leaves, broken branches, foot prints, etc… Their were ways of hiding ones passage of course but He highly doubted that that man had had the time or disposition to do so… not while carrying Hiro on his shoulders. He got underway and started his search. Within 5 minutes He had found his first sign. Several broken branches on a small bush. From there He found more, and more leading his South again… Of course, it’s where they had come from earlier on and where other Genin would probably be kept.

He tracked the two as fast as He could. Apparently Hiro’s captor was in a hurry, he was being careless. it could of course be a trap, but Red didn’t think so… Rather the problem most likely was that he needed to get back to his other captives before the Drug that incapacitated them wore off and left them to try to escape. But a trap was always a possibility… She’d have to be careful.

Nearly an hour now He had been tracking them, moving as quickly as He could. their was no time to waste. the sun would soon be setting… The dark would make tracking them that much harder. Luckily He didn’t have much further to go. some 15 minutes later. He found The Kidnapper’s camp… oddly enough they hadn’t moved it very far from their last one He had escaped from… not very bright…

He needed to do some reckon, If their were no traps set up around here then this guy was an idiot, as much as she’d like him to be, it wasn’t very likely. Indeed He found his first perimeter trap a couple of steps towards the camp. and several more as He progressed even closer. Disabling each of them, He then marked his cleared path by passing a sharp rock against a near by tree’s trunk barks while trying not to make too much noise.

The camp consisted of two small camouflaged tents, and a small over head screen covered area where the Genin were being kept under. He could see 5 of them. Hiro was sitting and tied up a little further. Apparently having been roughed up some since last He saw him. He was conscious though… That was good. The other Genin were also awake… Apparently the Drugs having worn off on them… that was VERY good! It would make their escape much easier. Especially if He couldn’t manage to beat their captor.

Next step was to find the bandit responsible for their pitiful condition. That was easy… He stepped out of his tent to come and sit outside in the open near the captive Genin. Crap!...

So what now... Well, first step was to free the captives, then she’d have to face off against the Bandit, At the very least trying to hold him off while the others made their escape. If He tried to fight him first before freeing the Genin and lost then then no one would be around to free them.

”Ok… So how do I get him out of here long enough to break Hiro and the others free?”

Alright… He had to figure something out and quick. He had begun taking down the camp site… of course he would, it was getting late, the Proctors would begin wondering why the Genins hadn’t made it to the gates yet. They’d come looking. The last thing he would want was to have to go up against a bunch of Konoha Chunin and Jonin Ranked Ninjas.

his time was running out… He had to act quick.. but what was He supposed to do?... An opening made itself for his when the kidnapper entered his tent and seemed to be packing his belonging that were within it. This was it. He snuck over to where Hiro was, using every technique that He could think of to approach without being spotted or heard. making his way to his side He began undoing his bonds. He looked at his questioningly, to which He responded by bringing up his finger to his mouth indicating to remain silent. He then signaled for him to follow his into the woods. Hiro seemed to want to protest leaving the others behind but He insisted. Reluctantly he submitted and followed his.

They made their way to a location relatively covered by leaves and bushes… a safe distance to finally whisper without fear of being heard.

”I won’t leave them… I”

”Relax!.. We’re not leaving any one. He reassured him. trying to calm him down He had just wanted to be able to tell him his plan so as to have every thing go down smoothly.

”We need to get him away from the other Genin if we’re gonna have enough time to get them all out of there…. Can you make a Bunshin?

Hiro, hearing this calmed down some what. He fired of a number of hand seals and attempted to make a clone in response to his question… but nothing happened. Most likely a combination of side effects of the drug and shear exhaustion. He shook his head in disappointment.

Damn… Red would have to do this himself. his plan was to use a Clone to draw the kidnapper away long enough for them to free the Genin and get them to safety, If He sent a clone of himself, most likely the kidnapper would head straight for a Genin, put a Kunai to his throat and threaten him lest He surrendered himself. But if it was a worn down and beaten Hiro that he saw free and running away then he’d most likely run after him. At least He hoped

”It’s ok Hiro… I’ll take care of that. Once That bastards gone we’ll have to move quick to free the others. after that you’ll have to lead them to safety. I’ll take him on and hold him off for you guys.”

” Why don’t you run with the rest of us?”

”Because we won’t be able to fool him for long. once he realizes it’s a trick he’ll come running back. If he catches up to the group… Well do you think that their in any shape to fight? are you?”

He had to admit that he wasn’t… and probably neither were the others. His eyes fell to the ground and he shook his head in the negative.

”Exactly… That’s why I’ll stay behind to fight him… Give you guys time to get away. Understood?”

He nodded in the affirmative. Good. He then pointed to the path He had cleared of traps

”That way. That’s where I came from. I cleared the traps in the area, you’ll see scratch marks on the trees to indicate the path. It should be safe, but obviously be careful.” He studied Hiro closely, trying to memorize each of his features as He spoke with him. He thought He had it... his gaze turned towards the camp, drawn in by movement. The bandit had come out of his tent. It was time. He turned back towards Hiro.

”Alright Hiro, this is it. Ready? Good luck!

He formed several hand and concentrated his chakra. to the max that He could manage at the moment, hoping it was enough...

”Henge no Jutsu!”

Coming out of his tent, he should be ready to leave soon. by this time tomorrow he would have that forbidden Jutsu scroll he so coveted. Things hadn’t exactly gone according to plan, but hey… no plan was perfect? In general however things weren’t going so bad. His stuff was packed and it would be time to move soon. he was just about ready to go. he’d take a final look outside make sure not to leave anything valuable behind an he’d get underway. Stepping out of his tent he took in a long deep breath, holding it for several seconds before finally releasing it. He scanned the camp, one final time he thought. just to make sure he hadn’t missed anything.

Didn’t seem to be anything he forgot to pack that he would want to anyways. Wait a minute…. His eyes stopped at the spot where Hiro had been left. The Kid was gone! His head and eyes quickly moved from one direction to the next trying to find any signs of the young man…He had been there just a minute ago! He couldn’t have …

Something caught his attention, in his peripheral vision.. His head immediately turned to see what it was. It was the kid! just off in the bush! As if on cue the young man seemed to notice him as well and ran for it.

”Damn you boy! Come back here! His order was ignored. The Young man was running for it. ”Shit!” He bolted after him. No way he was gonna let that kid escape a second time. He readied a Kunai and ran as fast as he could. Damn the boy was fast… but he was pretty sure he'd catch up to him. The boy had been beaten good and drug, He wouldn't be able to keep it going for long. Nah he was pretty damned sure he’d catch up soon enough. Just the drug’s side effects alone that he knew were still hampering the kid would be more then enough to garanty that. Looking back, he couldn’t see his Camp sight's lanterns any more, they were getting too far, Not a good thing in the dark forest around them.

”Get back here boy. come back now and I won’t beat you too much!”

Damn this kid was stubborn. Surely he knew he couldn’t escape... And where did he find all this energy from anyways… They had been running for several minutes now, This was taking longer then he had expected it to. It wouldn't be to smart to keep going for much longer...

Something happened to caught him off guard for a moment. The Boy… he had come to a full stop. Just standing there motionless staring out into the darkness, his back to him. Had he given up?.. Good, he was sick of running after him. Coming to a walking pace a few steps away he reached to grab the young man by the hair with his left hand. Just as he was about to take a hand full, the young man spun in place with lightning speed delivering an elbow to his gut. He fell back letting out a groan. Pain causing anger to boil up within him.

”How dare you hit me!!” He shouted out, running in head first to tackle the young man. He was not too sure just how it was that he missed, all he knew what that the boy had just leaped over him kicking him to the back in mid air. he fell to the ground clutching his back for a few moments before getting back on his feet. No way the kid had this much energy... What trickery was this?..

----

”Henge no Jutsu”

A puff of smoke overtook his momentarily before fading. had it worked? He looked down at himself. It had! Thank God. He was ready for the first step. With a final nod to Hiro He moved in closer to the camp, finally allowing the bandit to see his. The moment his eyes came upon his He dashed into a run. heading south bound, the opposite direction that his fellow Genin would be taking.

He ran for some time, trying to keep ahead of him but not get any further lest he lose his in the dark. Normally with his Byakugan, this run would be so easy, as easy as if He were running at mid day. but He couldn’t use his Byakugan right now, meaning He was stuck running in the dark. The sun had set nearly an hour ago the forest was pitch black, making each step a dangerous one if He were not careful. what a time not to have his Doujutsu...

He had been chasing his for about 7 minutes now, He began to fear he might decide to give up and turn back… that was not an option, He had to keep him away from the camp for as long as possible. This would have to be far enough. hopefully Hiro and the others were already under way. Their pace would be slow due to the drug but they were ninja on their Chunin exam, They’d know how to remain unseen, hopefully.

He came to a stop, but did not turn to face him, rather He just waited for him. As soon as He sensed him behind his moving in He launched his elbow at him connecting hard. sending him falling backwards. He managed to remain on his feet however and lunged at his. with a quick leap He was airborne above him sending his foot towards his back and connected again.

Landing on his feet He watched him crash to the ground with a certain satisfaction. He wasn’t as fast as He was… Getting back up he readied his Kunai and examined his closely , obviously he hadn’t seen through his transformation yet, he still saw Hiro.

He took on his normal Jyuuken Stance. Readying for his next attack hoping the others were well on their way.

He realized He had made a mistake the moment He raised his hand. He recognized the stance…

”So you little brat, decided to come back for your friend huh… Well then, enough with the masquerade, I know it’s you girl”

The little smile He had on his lips faded, so much for the little advantage of surprise He thought He had. A puff of smoke surrounded his once again, fading within a second later to reveal his true self. No matter, He had already ascertained that he was slower then her… He could take him! She’d have to avoid being hit to the upper body at all costs however. It was painful enough just maneuvering, Actually getting hit might put an abrupt end to this fight.

The two opponents faced off for several moments without sound and nearly without movement, that suited Red just fine, He was in no hurry to get this fight going. The longer it took, the further the others would get from the camp safely. He just made sure to adjust his stance so as to remain facing him when ever he took a step to either left or right.

In hand to hand combat He was used to taking more risks then He could permit himself now, She’d have to consciously keep himself from doing that this time, He had no enhanced vision to help his, and He had no Kaiten or other techniques to fall back to. The first to connect would most likely win this battle and He knew it. No mistake could be allowed.

The stand off was over, things were about to begin,

”So… You thought you’d buy time for your fellow little Genin by drawing me out here huh…And what?.. now your gonna fight me. You think you can beat me? or is it that you want to keep me from heading back to stop them from escaping?Heh… He broke into laughter. his hands coming together to form hand seals

”Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!

Three solid clones appeared around him in large puffs of smoke. Oh… This isn’t good.

All four identical bandits jumped into action. He stepped back uncertain of how He would manage these, He needed his Byakugan! The real bandit and two of his clones came after his, the third clone broke off and headed towards the camp. She’s have his hands full in a second, nothing He could do to stop that one for now. He had to focus on the three identical opponents coming at his, She’d had to keep track of the original, that was key, above anything else, He had to stay with the real one. It would take at least 7 minutes for that third clone to reach the camp, give or take, After all it had taken them that much time to get this far away from it, even then, he’d still have to find Hiro and the others, who would hopefully have already put some distance between themselves and the camp.

The first of his opponents reached his, quickly followed by the other two. He took several steps back and prepared for the barrage of fists and kicks that would soon attempt to overwhelm his. He blocked the first three punches first with his right then left and right again, jumping to avoid a leg sweep, while in the air He blocked another two blows and managed to deliver one of his own, a kick right to the throat of the clone to his right reducing it to a puff of smoke. The other two didn’t relent however, the moment He landed on the ground a round house kick was heading towards his mid section. He couldn’t let that one hit, or it would be over, his already battered ribs and abdomen wouldn’t be able to take another blow. Both arms extended to block the kick unfortunately leaving his open, the clone… No... the real Bandit lifted a hand to his mouth, blowing hard as he opened it, releasing a cloud of dust towards his face.

Had their been more light He might have better seen it coming, but in the dark, it took his a little longer to register his movement. ”Don’t breath it!!!” He quickly held his breath, but it was too late. He had taken some in, just a little but enough. He was suddenly struck with a strong sense of vertigo and disorientation. It was the drug! A fist made it’s way to his left temple impacting hard and pushing his off his feet to crash to the ground. The odd sense of pain and disorientation causaed by the blow flawlessly merging in with that caused by the drug. He could afford to remain on the ground, He had to keep moving!”Get Up!!” Kicking dirt at his opponents as a distraction, He immediate dashed clumsily into near by heavy bush. to finally climb some 12 feet onto a tree on the opposite side from the two identical foes. He needed to regroup, but couldn’t afford to take too much time to do it. He couldn’t let him get out of here and head back towards the camp. Mind and sight spinning, He had to come up with something fast, He had to some how counteract the Drug if He could, and come up with a strategy…

----

He had quickly taken out one of his clones but he'd have his, he was sure of it. He had his own little secret weapon after all. Reaching into his pouches, pulling out a vile of his knock out drug, a substance he had come up with himself. he was quite proud of it actually. waiting for the perfect opportunity, he finally found it as his clone sent a kick to his side pulling his attention towards it, leaving him to blow the dust into his face without too much trouble. He got his!

He had turned away rather quickly, he doubted that He took in too much of it, but just a little it would be enough. His clone connected with a punch sending his to the ground obviously dazed.

With a sense of satisfaction he approached the girl as He lay on the floor. Surely He had inhaled at least some of it. The drug would be taking effect shortly, even if He had just breathed in the smallest amount, she’d be too dazed to fight. This fight was… A hand full of dirt came rushing as his face. he pulled back for just a second before turning back towards Red just in time to see his clumsily jumping behinds a bush and tree. The dizziness plaguing his evident even in that split second.

His clone was about to pursue. but was stopped in mid step.

”Don’t bother. He ain’t going anywhere.”

Nah, all this was was a desperate last ditch effort to get away. while He still had some sense of balance left. He wouldn't be getting very far, especially not in the dark. ”easy as pie.”. Well this fight was a good as over, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t have himself a little fun…

”You know Kid, if only you had listened and not followed me back. I was gonna forget about the whole thing, You’re escape, the hassle it was to find you guys and even bout you killing Noki. But no… You had to be the Hero and come to the rescue. Well I’ll show you what happens to Heroes. I’m gonna burn you kid, And I’m gonna enjoy doing it!”

He took a perverse little pleasure at taunting his. Sure it was petty but a man had to enjoy the little things…he liked it. His pleasure quickly faded when a rock came flying at him from the dark hitting square on the forehead.

”Son of a…” That had hurt damn it! ”You freaken kid, you just WANT to die don’t you?!

He rapidly fired off a series of hand seals, finally bringing his right hand over to his mouth, his clone mimicking every move.

”Katon: Housenka no Jutsu”

A rapid hail of 1 foot wide balls of fire, coming from both real and clone bandit, bombarded the forest around them. Their was no aiming involved, this was more of a carped bombing. He wanted to hide behind a tree? he’d burn them all down. He wanted to hide in the dark? he’d set the whole place ablaze bringing the fire’s light.

It was rather surprising that He had apparently managed to counteract or avoid the drugs effects but it didn’t matter now, He was going down one way or another.

A full 10 seconds of fire bombing , finally came to a stop. Much of the forest around them was ablaze, the dark that blanketed the area moments ago pushed back by the brightness of the flames. Both he and his clones scanned the area, looking for any trace of movement, any trace of the girl. He was looking north bound, towards where he knew the Camp laid, would He be trying to get back to it… No He wouldn’t back down now, not if He wanted to help his friends, and if the drug was affecting his then He wouldn’t make it anyways. No.. He had to be around here somewhere. He could see his clone in the corner of his eyes, some 10 feet to his left searching a patch of bush. He turned to his right, all the way to see behind him, Finding his second clone heading this way. "Odd..." His attention was immediately ripped back to the first clone, interrupting his train of thought, it’s voice shouting out. ” This way! I see his, she’s on the run!” just before it jumped into pursuit. A small smile creped onto his face, just for a second, before sinking away, his mind shouting at him, trying to warn him. ”She took out the second clone earlier… Their should only be one of em left... He spun as quickly as he could towards the second clone behind him, too late, in time only to see what appeared like himself rushing in on him with a smile. The last thing he felt was a tearing surge of pain ripping at his chest before finally passing out.

Standing on the Side of the tree, He could hear his taunts, but their meaning was becoming difficult to discern… The drug’s effects were taking hold. He didn’t have much time. He had to think of something quick. She’d have to finish him quick, because soon He wouldn’t be in any position to do anything anymore.

his chakra flow fluctuated, almost loosing his footing on the tree He was forced down to the ground. The bastard was laughing, getting cocky, over confident. This could be good if He managed to focus long enough to take advantage of it. ”Focus!!! He took in several deep breaths collecting himself as best He could. ”A little bit longer, Focus!.. He’s cocky, and over confident now, good, now you just need to get him mad, force him to make an mistake, create an opening…”

an idea came to his as his right hand, planted on the ground, felt a nice round shaped rock under it, Picking it up, He aimed and through it at the bastard, connecting right on his forehead. good shot!.. He didn’t seem to appreciate it though. Both he and his clone began forming hand seals and started shooting off a rapid fire barrage of fire balls. ”Well he’s definitely mad…” He ran deeper into the woods to try to take cover. Trying to figure out his next move. Fighting off the steady strengthening drag of his "high". He could think of a few thing, not necessarily good plans of course... actuall really bad one... but still, better then nothing. The problem was his clone, it would get in the way of most of the ideas that came up with. It was then that in his partially delusional state that the idea came to his, ”Stupid clone… it would be nice it if was on my side...” The part of his still rational and clear headed saw in this a possibility. Sheformulated a plan and set it into motion… He didn’t have much time.

First He would need a distraction, something to keep the bastard’s mind busy with just long enough for his ruse to work.

“Bunshin no Jutsu!”

First attempt wasn’t so pretty, damned Drug was making it hard to focus. Second attempt still wasn’t perfect but it would do. Next was the disguise. Using the "Henge no jutsu" She’s transform into his spitting image... Well as close as He could get with how difficult it was to focus. He was going to pass himself as one of his clones.

Obviously it wouldn’t work for long, he'd remember quick enough that their shouldn't be a second clone out here with him, that’s what his Bunshin was for, to keep them distracted, preoccupied, force him to think of other things just long enough to get close to him, even if it was only good to by his a second or two. Hopefully the unexpectedness of seeing an extra clone along with the distraction from his own Bunshin would be enough to allow his to get close to deliver his blow.

Funny He thought, the way He was fighting now, He might as well just have come out of the academy, because the skills He had then were the only ones He was actually putting to use or could even use now.... Time to move.

Using his fire bombardment as cover both He... now looking like him... sort of… And his clone moved into position. He made his way behind them while his clone headed towards area where He could easily be seen. As the fire bombardment ended He starter his approach. He slowly stepped out of the bushes walking towards the bandit. Who was now inspecting the damage he had caused. He turned towards his for just a moment, his heart nearly stopped, if he was quick witted then He was done for, Hopefully his distraction would prove enough, He heard his real clone calling out that it had spotted his, or rather his clone, in the woods and ran after it. That grabbed the real bandits attention just long enough to make him forget that their shouldn't be a second clone of him out here with him. His confusion lasted for only a second, but it was enough, He used it to close in as fast as He could readying his hand for his blow. He turned back just in time to stare into his face, or his own, as his blow connected right under his heart releasing a strong flow of Chakra into it.

The man winced in pain as his eyes rolled up, before falling to the ground. In the distance some where in the dark woods, both of his clones, the one chasing his own clone and the one heading towards the camp, disappeared in puffs of smoke. He had gotten him!... Fantastic… Dream land awaited....

-----------

his eyes opened, greeted by the morning sun. He was laying on his back where He had fallen the night before. It took his a moment to realize where He was exactly. due to the Drug, the last nights excitement was all rather vague. The smell of smoke and burned wood surrounding his, helped remind his however. Pushing himself up into a sitting position He surveyed the carnage around his. The immediate area of the forest around his was quite badly burned, the foliage, bark all but gone, leaving behind deadened trees still smoldering . ”That’s right… he used Fire…” He realized just how lucky He was not to have been killed by either flame or smoke as He lay unconscious.... Odd....

Laying not to far beside his was the man He had fought. Face down into the dirt. He crawled over to him to check his pulse, He was dead. Memories of the previous day began flooding back it. The Chunin exams, waking up bound and drugged, their escape and Hiro’s recapture…That’s right, Hiro!

Bringing his self up to his feet ignoring his soreness and fatigue as best He could, He starter his run back to bandits camp. his pace wasn’t as quick as the night before, He was exhausted, worn down by exertion, the drug, his injuries and lack of food. But He was determined to find out if they had escaped. It took his a full twenty minutes to get to the now deserted camp. The Genin were gone… They had made it out! A sense of relieve came over his.. their plan had worked.

his hands came down to his knees as He took in several deep breaths. It was over. He could take a breath and rest. He fell asleep for another hour, waking up starving, He searched the camp for food and water, finding several loafs of bread and some fruit. He couldn’t remember ever being this hungry. In practically the blink of an eye the food was gone, his stomach full.

A more thorough search of the camp allowed his to find his own possessions, taken from his previously. his Med Kit, Weapons pouch, backpack and canteen. every thing was here. It came as an odd relief to find these, He hadn’t thought about them much during the ordeal but his possessions held value to his, loosing them would have been displeasing to his, they were hers after all.

That done He took the time to tend to his injuries, having dressed his wounds it was time to go. It was mid day as He set off, He still had a long way to go. Part of his hoped to run into Hiro and the others, so as to confirm that every one was safe and Ok. But He knew that to be unlikely, unless their skills as remaining hidden were so poor. He could always try to track them, but He didn’t have the energy for it right now. He just wanted to get home.

The trip, done at a steady jogging pace took just over 6 hours. the trip itself was uneventful. Disappointingly He didn't come upon Hiro or any one else for that matter, In fact He didn’t come upon the slightest trace of Human passage what so ever, that worried his some what but He hoped it rather meant a they had been extra cautious.

Finally, as the sun was setting He exited the special Academy reserve. It didn’t take long to finally come into view of Konoha and his gates. The overwhelming sense of relief and joy at seeing them pushing his forward, He was Home! He would sprint the last distance. finally crossing the threshold as the sun was just off the horizon on it’s way to setting. He sought out the first person He could see, which oddly enough was his Uncle… Was he waiting for his? He ran over to him, addressing him with an air of urgency. He still had to make sure.

”Uncle… I’m so glad to see you. In the woods We were taken Hostage… We managed to escape but… Did the other Genin make it back?”

He stared at his for a few moments before finally giving his a smile. ”It’s alright Red. Every one is fine. You did well.”

He let out a sigh of relieve. The others had made it, and they were all fine… Thank God. taking in a couple of large breaths of air He exhaled the last one forcefully. before facing his uncle again to speak.

”So then they’ve explained what happened?”

His hand reached to rest on his cheak, as he let out a soft laugh. He lowered his head towards his, while reach behind his head to undo the knot of his Konoha head band. He wasn’t sure what he was doing… why was he removing his head band?... He did not protest or resist however. Finally as he took it off he addressed his.

”Not exactly… You see, their were no Kidnappers red… This.. was your test.”

He said nothing, just stared at him intently. He had thought as much at first, but the situation had seemed so real, so dangerous to his, after all a man had died at his hands, that He had come to believe it to be truly happening. So was He angry at this revelation? or was He happy?… He was too exhausted to tell. Seeing his niece speechless, he continued.

”Akemi, what did it tell you yesterday morning, before you headed out for the exams?”

He reached into his memories, recollections of his words to his returning

”You said that that true skill and power as a Shinobi doesn’t come from his techniques but from how he uses them.”

He smiled at his nodding in the affirmative.

”Exactly! Jutsus are tools, nothing more. Even the most powerful Jutsu in the hands of a fool who does not know how to use it is worthless. A true Ninja can take the simplest, most basic jutsu and turn it into a potent and deadly weapon. A truly skilled Ninja relies on his wits and intelligence. Jutsus are tools that aid him, they don’t “make” him… or his.”

He raised his head band to his eyes, showing his the inside of it to reveal to his a tag that had been placed on the inside of it. The tag read “Suppress” surrounded by several symbols matching his own Cursed seal on his forehead. his eyes opened wide as He realized what this meant. The tag had been pressed against his cursed seal, the Cotton cloths He wore to conceal that seal keeping his from feeling it. He turned to look at his uncle in the eyes.

”That’s right, we suppressed your Byakugan with this tag, and limited your Chakra flow with the drug. Being a Chunin Is about how many Jutsus you know or how powerful they are. It’s about knowing how to use what you have to it’s utmost. It’s about intelligence, wits, competence, daring and ingenuity, and so much more. That is what you were being tested on. ”

He tore off the tag from his head band before handing it back to his. He stared at it in his hands for several moments motionless, He shoudl be feeling something... Any thing, but He ws to exhausted to, instead He just took in the information and filed it.. Maybe He'd be angry tomorrow... His hand came to gently rest on his head as to comfort his. ”You did very well on this Red, pass or fail, I am proud of you, so would your Father be.” his gaze turned up towards him. He only smiled gently but spoke no word.

‘Now. Pass by the infirmary to get look over. A proctor will come along soon to let you know how you did.”

(speed and strength and Dexterity)

As the sun rose slowly into the sky the sounds of howling and chirping could be heard from the forest's directions. As these sounds echoed throughout most of the eastern side of the village, the faint sound of a waterfall could be heard. Red's body arose from the waters surface as if a demon were exiting it's portal. As he arose from the water, a smile could be seen on his face. "Today's going to be a beautiful day." He said aloud as he looked up towards the sky taking in a deep breath of fresh air as he said this. He had been training for quite some time, but didn't really appear exhausted at all. He walked on the waters surface headed in the direction of what would appear to be a waterfall, where his supplies were hidden secretly inside a small hole. He jumped through the waterfall timing it perfectly so that he wouldnt be consumed by the vast amount of water coming from above. As he landed his body was soaked and he smiled shaking his body as if he were a dog. He walked over to a small rock and flipped it over revealing a small hole where a fresh pair of clothing resided. He changed into these clothes quickly and picked up a rather beautiful and expensive looking katana. He placed it slowly inside of a black sheathe and rested it against his body using a black rope that seemed to match with what he was wearing.

He sighed and walked deeper into the cave hidden behind the waterfall and stopped at what some would make out tobe stairs. He walked up them ending where both the darkness or the tunnel and the light of the sun met with one another. His vision seemed to be hazed for several seconds as his eyes readjusted to the light. Bird's chirped in the distance. "I seriously do have to check out what's deeper within the forest sometime, but not today." He said as he relized the danger within the forest. He felt a relief flow throughout him as he remember that he had placed himself in a safe and secluded spot where danger would never present itself to him. "Well time for some kenjutsu practice." He shouted to the heavens before charging several hand-made dummies placed securely in front of elderly tree's...

His body swayed from left to right as he approached one the the dummies unsheathing his katana in mid stride. As he ran towards the dummies, he shifted his body into an offensive stance and seconds before he reached about a meter away from his target, he leaped. His body seemed to lurch forward as he swung his katana in a horizontal motion aiming for the stomach of the dummy. His strike appeared to be flawless but he knew that he had messed up. "I have to stop hesitating, before swinging my blade..." He said to himself softly before walking up to another dummy.

As he approached the second dummy, he began sprinting instead of walking towards the dummy. He shifted his weight forward and let the blade of his katana hover a few inches from the ground. He quickly began pouring a small amount of chakra into the blade of his katana and with perfect presision the blade of his katana sliced through the body of the dummy completely destroying the upper half of it. "On another note, I have to stop over doing it." He said again to himself before apporaching a medium sized box, made of what would appear to be either oak or maple wood. He opened the box slowly and pulled out a small glass and a bottle of warm liquid that overflowed with steam. He poured the liquid into the glass and drank it down slowly letting his insides fill with the warmness of the liquid. "Ahhhh..." He said aloud before pouring another glass full.

(speed and strength and Dexterity)

Red had watched the 1st round matches intently, taking in as much as He could about each fighter. Their abilities, how they fought etc… They were impressively skilled. and were exciting to watch fighting. When He heared that He wouldn’t be fighting in the first round it had come as rather disappointing, very disappointing in fact, despite it apparently being a reward. He wanted to perticipate. But whether He admitted it or not however He was rather beat from the first part of the exam and the rest time did his much good.

his Uncle and He had a long conversation that night, about his test, his experiences, what He had learned, what He had come to understand. They would speak of much. Of what it meant to become a ninja. Of duty and responsibility, towards the Clan, towards the sound, the rice patties Country and to the greater purpose. They spoke of the will of fire that fueled the spirit of Konoha itself. He was young, but as a Geninin He would no longer be a child. He would become a true Shinobi. That was... if He passed. He cautioned his not to let his ego get the best of his, He still had much to prove before earning that honor.

Unlike the first night of the exam this time He fell asleep nearly as soon as his head touched his pillow. Awakening to the smell of breakfast ready as usual. his mother congratulating his for passing his first part, and ranked first no less. truly his father would be proud of his, just as his family was proud of his. He hoped so.

Setting out to the designated testing area with his uncle and mother. leaving early so as to have time to talk. his cousin would run to join them on the road. He would be joining the Academy this year, and was quite the little Taijutsu fighter. This was a good time, He was happy. He felt much better then He had in some time. He was at peace, calm, relaxed, confident. A better start then the other morning.

When they finally arrived at the designated match area they parted ways, his family heading over to the observers section, while He was indicated towards the combat area. He felt serene, He might or might not win. but it didn’t matter. Rather He knew that He would perform to his utmost. That was all He could hope for, though He would fight like hell to come out victorious, that was for sure. He was ready for this!

Stepping onto the field, He took his position awaiting his opponent as he took his position before his. Mea Yori. He had fought well the previous day, very well in fact, especially for one so young. this would be a good fight, he had definitely impressed. So much the better. what would be the point if it were otherwise.

”Good luck Mea Yori.” He said with a smile, taking on his stance. Finally this was it! ”Byakugan!”

Yori somehow made his way home after his first match. It had been called a draw, and the Mea boy hadn’t been so happy to tie in his entire life. Kieko was a difficult opponent, He was downright hard, and in that battle, Yori was the 4 seed, and Kieko the 5. He was supposed to win that battle, now he was to go against the one seed. If the five had taken him to a draw, what would happen with the top Genin? Yori shook the thoughts of doubt from his mind, where they would hopefully be disposed of with the rest of the useless garbage which flowed through his head like a river’s foot. The boy made it home to the Mea compound before Zen, this was good, it meant that Zen was still proctoring, and even if he had told Yori to be ready the next morning for his fight, the thought of delaying was a nice one. Yori went to his bed, and crashed. He landed face first on the pillow, and slept in that uncomfortable position. His dad eventually came in and woke him up, to make sure that Yori didn’t get neck problems for his big fight tomorrow. The battle was Mea vs. Hyuuga. It was the two strongest living clans in Konoha, going at it. Yori smiled at the thought, and had a nice dream as his body recovered from his Gennin Exam experiences.

The next morning dawned upon Yori with a sparkling delight. He woke up, not feeling a thing from before, and made his way downstairs. Yori realized that he loved Genjutsu users now, because if he got caught in their traps, the next day, he’d feel fine. Unless, that was, he got caught by the old Uchiha clan’s mysterious genjutsu, Yori shuddered at the thought of dealing with the mythical Mangekyou. But now was not the time, nor place, for Yori to think about that. It was time to focus. He ate his breakfast up quickly, grabbed Haru, three smoke bombs, which he normally never carried, a few extra exploding notes, and reloaded Haru’s senbon launcher. He was ready, the smoke bombs had been conveniently loaded into the butt of Haru, so he could launch the out if need be. Taking a deep breath, Yori and his father walked to the designated field. The winter air was cold, but Yori almost couldn’t feel it. His white clan jacket was tied in the front, something Yori would immediately change once the battle started.

He walked into the field, and notice that Red was on his way. He took a few deep breaths, and the butterflies were buzzing around in his stomach. The cool breeze flapped around Yori, blowing his jacket awry. He stood in place, not moving, only giving a polite gesture to his father when he saw the anxiety begin to be a problem. Zen and Yori’s father shared a laugh, they had been friends for a long time, and it lead Yori and Zen to be like brothers. As much as he would have liked to, Yori wasn’t able to ask his brother how to combat a Hyuuga, Yori knew his chakra cloaking made him invisible to even the Byakugan, but that took a lot of chakra to sustain, and Yori didn’t want to have to resort ‘that thing’. He took one final deep breath, and saw his opponent, Hyuuga Red make his way to the field. He turned to face him, this would be dangerous if the woman before him was Kieko, but as it stood, Hyuuga’s were never genjutsu specialists. He listened to his words, and with a smirk, returned the gesture, “Hyuuga Red, I wish you luck, and even though we are enemies today, I hope that we can be friends tomorrow.” With that He did it. Red activated the Byakugan. Yori stepped into an offensive position, and flipped a switch, turning Haru into a Bo Staff. He spun the staff around his shoulder three or four times, and flipped another switch. The ends of the staff now had kunai tips instead of balled tips. Yori grabbed his friend like a javelin, and hurled it at Red. The Raiton affiliated chakra that Yori had pumped through the veins of Haru, and the staff sparked as it flew. Preparing for the perfect defense. Yori began his trigger. He did four handseals as the staff flew, and set the Chakra Bow technique in motion. If Red began to use Kaiten, he would set the bow up, and the second He stopped, she’d have to deal with a chakra bow aimed right at his chest. This was going to be a fun battle.

Red tightened his stance, this one wasn’t going to waist any time now way he… So be it. He watched carefully, his movements, his most particular weapon, his chakra... He launched his weapon at his, infuses with Lighting Chakra. On top of that he was forming hand seals, He could see Chakra flowing through his hands out of him taking on the nearly tangible elongated form. His staff, rushing towards her… he meant it as a form of distraction, he was trying to create an opening for himself by having his concentrate on reacting to his staff. Nicely done, bur his eyes allowed his to perfectly see and follow both the staff, it’s path as well as his own movements and actions perfectly. He could easily make out both and much much more. Reacting to the staff would be a mistake, concentrate on the opponent himself, He remembered. After all victory wouldn’t be gained by defeating his staff, but rather by defeating him. Side step an attack, and counter attack from a positions of safety and leverage… basic tenant of his Crane Palm form Jyuuken.

Akemi’s hand quickly came together to form a seal, their was no time to waist with the electrically charged staff rushing towards his. his real target was standing beyond it, preparing another attack.

”Shunshin no Jutsu” (Body Flicker Technique)

He flickered out of sight, the staff flying harmlessly right through where He had been standing just a moment ago. He reappeared a blink of an eye later some twelve feet from Yori, to his 5 o’clock, hopefully just out of his line of sight. A quick thrust of his foot and He was off rushing towards him. He would have to be quick, He was aware that the Mea could sense an individual’s chakra. It would only take three running strides to close in, it should take no more then a second.

his plan was straight forward. As He took his first two steps, his right hand would come up, his palm towards the target, more specifically Yori’s materializing Chakra manifestation, what appeared to be a bow. Interesting and impressive, Literally a bow made of Chakra. Red was sure that it must be quite a potent weapon. Getting hit by that thing wasn’t an option. Luckily for his, the same quality that made it remarkable also made it vulnerable… at least vulnerable to his Jyuuken. Things made from Chakra are disrupted and/or destroyed by introducing a second chakra into them, such as is done with Jyuuken.** The moment his extended hand would come to within 4 feet of the thing, He would released a strong current of Chakra. This was his “Projected Air palm” With it He could fire off a strong flow of Chakra out of his palm some 4 feet further, increasing his reach. This chakra was of course invisible to the normal eye, meaning that most observers would believe the strike an embarrassing miss, but it’s intended target, if hit, would come to know better, as the charka from this attack would cause the same type for damage as if He had connected physically with him with a Jyuuken blow.

With that done, his strike connecting or not, his third step would bring his to within contact range to his original position. his right palm, the same one that He had used to target his chakra bow, stretched out forward ahead of his would now come to be used to meet and block either a spinning blow towards his or similar moves, which Yori might attempt if he tried to spin to face his, or it would be used to counter a side kick or similar foot work. With either block, the moment physical contact were made with either his arm or leg, Yori would quickly come to realize that something was wrong. his blocking hand was emitting chakra as used in Jyuuken, any direct contact would mean his chakra being infused in his own system disrupting it locally. causing either the arm or leg to fail. He would attempt to keep him from spinning to face his, at least just long enough so as to allow his to freely attack him along his back and ribs. He would target several blows spread along and around his closest kidney, lung and spine. always keeping either hand ready to block with. These weren’t lethal hits but would most certainly disable him or at the very least weaken him greatly to go along with the unique pain he would feel. This would be a quick rapid fire set of strikes, the whole maneuver would take no more then two to four seconds at the most. adjusting his path and direction depending on his own maneuvering.

If however he did move to put distance between them rather then allow his to get within physical contact distance then He would resort to firing off a single ”Hakke Kūshō“ (Eight Trigrams Empty Palm) towards him before retaking his stance.

This was it, his first step… his eyes fixed on his target, also noting where his staff had ended it’s flight…. his palm was up… second step, He fired……….

Yori wound up the bow, and prepared to lace the fine blue string with a chakra arrow, waiting for the magical words to flow from Akemi’s mouth. All he needed was a Kaiten, and this fight was about to get really going. But, against Yori’s idea, Red side-stepped Haru, and used a body flicker to get out of his line of sight. He, of course, couldn’t see Red coming up from his back right shoulder, but he could feel his presence. Waiting a second to buy the illusion of confusion, Yori took a deep breath. He whipped the bow string back, and an arrow began to form. As the arrow materialized from the strong, and made its way to the actual bow, Yori turned his body to face Red. He turned to greet an unfamiliar attack, he heard the words “Air Palm”, and Red launched a distance Jyuuken attack. His bow was blow away, and Yori had now just wasted a small amount of chakra for nothing. Nonetheless, Red was closing in. Yori wanted nothing to do with the Jyuuken, so he leapt away. Red stopped, and cocked his hand back, and with a divination attack. Yori hopped, skipped, and was blown further than he though he would be. The empty palm technique, as it was apparently called, was more of a wind style attack, and swept Yori into a tree branch. He had managed to turn his body around, and skid his feet, so the tree trunk didn’t hurt to much, but hitting a solid base after being launch, well it never felt good.

Yori quickly rebounded from his hit, if Red was able to hit him like that with two simple attacks, imagine what He would be able to do with Jyuuken, when Yori was stuck to a tree. The sun beat down on Yori’s neck, and he felt the warm embrace of the calm day at his back. Of course, the weather wasn’t that warm, but the sun was out, and Yori had been moving around enough to warm his body up. Yori walked back into the field, and faced Red, eye to eye. He smiled a bit, and preformed a string of handseals. His eyes never left Akemi’s, and his handseal technique was great. To get his hands into the rather uncomfortable position needed for a handseal, but it didn’t matter to anyone. Yori’s hands moved with machine like quickness, and as the final one was preformed, he smiled. He looked Red dead in the eyes, and said, not to loud, but loud enough for his to hear it, “Good bye.” Yori disappeared. His chakra cloaking was now activated. This was the anti-Hyuuga jutsu the Mea Clan had invented. With it, the Mea member could completely turn themselves invisible. Their chakra was now invisible, so even the mighty Byakugan couldn’t see them. He was, in every sense of the word, gone.

Yori never went to pick up Haru, because until he trained as a Chuunin, he wouldn’t be able to make Haru go invisible with him. The Mea boy now simply stood directly in front of Red, and waited for his chance. He slowly began to skulk around Red. Well, it was more walking, but he made sure to look down where he walked, to make sure not to make any noise. There was no breeze today, so Yori’s jacket wouldn’t be flapping, so it wouldn’t show his position. Yori wanted to get Red back for his blindside attack, so he wanted to first test the boundaries of the Byakugan. He got directly behind Red, than took out a kunai. The kunai would be invisible until it left his hands, so he could wait until he threw it. Just for a little more ’bang’, Yori attached an exploding note to the back of it. When Red would notice this, He would have fun. He rocketed the kunai right at the spine of Red, than jumped back and a little right. He was out of the Divination jutsu possibility, or so he hoped. Well, if Red couldn’t see him, He couldn’t release the dreaded 64 palms into him. That would surely end the fight. After he landed, right as the exploding note would hit and go off, he uncorked handseals. To a Byakugan, it would seem as if chakra shuriken had been made from nowhere, which wasn’t entirely true, Yori had made chakra shuriken, true, but they weren’t from nowhere. Hopefully, He would get caught up in the exploding note, because Yori whipped the shuriken right at his, and stayed still, awaiting his reaction.

Well He had managed to take out his Bow, and scored a blow with his Kusho. He managed to avoid most of it but still, the results could always have been worse. He stood in his stance his right palm up towards the young Mea, his left hand brought to his side. his legs were parted but not so much so, He nearly seemed to be standing.

The young Mea before his staring into his eyes. He seemed rather upbeat, good, he was definitely skilled, especially for his age. Here he went, forming hand seals. He had seen that sequence of seals before, used by his Sensei, Mea Akira… Chakra Cloak!

“Good bye.”

With that he was gone, disappeared from even his sight. How He hated that technique, that anything could escape his eyes was rather disturbing to his. especially that He did not understand how it was done. The first time He had experienced it had been particularly disturbing, causing his to doubt his own skill and ability. He had since learned that it wasn’t his eyes that were wanting but rather the jutsu itself that was formidable.

It was fortunate for his that He had seen this technique before. He had even attempted to counter it in the past, and had had plenty of times to think of ways to get around the technique. For now she’d take his time. He stood unmoving, his eyes staring out blankly ahead of his, yet seeing everything all around his, everything save for Yori himself.

his Byakugan allowed his to detect all attacks, all movements within over 50 meters around his. What good was that to his now if He couldn’t see the young Mea? Simple, the battle field ground was a mix of Dirt road and grass. He couldn’t see him, but He might very well be able to see any new foot prints forming on the dirt ground, or grass being crushed by the weight of a foot coming down on it. It would require his to focus but luckily, there was almost no winds (stated by Gregor in his last post) nothing else to disrupt either the grass or dirt. He took in a deep breath, He had to focus.

Also this last year had seen his come in contact with and fighting against two individuals that used hearing rather then sight to track and follow their opponents. Zatoichi Sadao, a Blind Shinobi that was now participating in these same Chunin exams, which He had faught against at the Ninja world tournament's first round earlier that year. And an other Konoha Genin named Renzen, who willingly blinded himself with his head band so as to avoid getting attention for his strange eyes. Both managed to use sound to compensate and replace their sight. He did not have their training or their habit of depending on hearing as they did and He knew it, He wasn't going to be accomplishing what they could, but still He would try to listen…

Where was he?.... There! what was that?... Nothing. Damn...Focus... Search him out! Watch for the sings… Listen for him.

There! this time He did see something, a kunai!.. worse, it had a tag attached to it… coming in fast from behind his. No time to dodge it, He immediately began releasing a strong current of Chakra from nearly every Tenketsu in his body before throwing himself into a spin.

“Hakkesho, Kaiten!”

The Kunai connected with his Chakra before his Spin could take full effect, the tag exploded just as the vortex of Chakra took shape, part of its released force made it through before the Kaiten fully formed, Causing a painful ringing in his left ear and making his stumble slightly, but He managed to remain on his feet and kept his spin going ”That hurt damn it!” As He was about to come to a stop, his eyes caught climbs of something else…. A Shuriken….Made of Chakra, the thing took shape and was launched right at his. He kept his spin going for a little while longer, countering his second Chakra manifestation.

While in his spin, as His Chakra Shuriken impacted on his Kaiten, Red was already forming hand seals. He took note of where the second attack came from, it had been launched from a different spot then the first shuriken, he was moving, He had to hurry. The moment his Chakra shuriken was undone, He stopped his spin, his hands now charged with electrical energy, as the Chakra vortex faded around his. his hands were already raised and aimed toward where that Chakra Shuriken had come from. He fired!

”Raiton: Shuurai” (Lightning Strike)

An arc of electricity shot out from his right hand toward what appeared to be empty space from where the Chakra Shuriken had come, He emmidiately fired a second bolt from his left hand some 10 feet to the right of his first shot, and then again from his right hand some 10 feet to it’s fight of his first shot.

He had no way of knowing yet where to fire exactly, rather He hoped He had been fast enough and lucky enough that hopefully one of the bolts would come close enough to him. Red had long since come to learn that his favorite Electric attack tended to be attracted to metal, it would head towards the material when it came close to it. When He had used it against Zatoichi Sadao, the arcs had been attracted to both his special metal Bell that he used for his sound Genjutsu, and perhaps more importantly, it had also been attracted to his Konoha head band, causing him great pain, even knocking him out for a few moments. Against his Sensei Akira’s Turtle Summoning He had used Shuriken embedded into the creature’s shell to guide an electrical current toward It. Hopefully, if any one of his blasts came close enough to the young man the same would happen here. If not then He would ready to defend against an other attack. his eyes searching more vigorously for any signs of the young man.

Yori finally got the Kaiten he wanted, but now wasn’t the time. He had already thrown three chakra shuriken, but realized that if he held one through the Kaiten spin, he would have gotten an open shot. His exploding note had done something, but nothing near enough. Then, Yori noticed that inside the vortex of charka, a few handseals were being done, and when it was finished, Red turned right to him, and unleashed his own attack. He shot a lightning bolt that made direct connection with him, and because, for some reason, he had decided to carry extra weapons, his waist received an extra blast. His headband conducted the electricity well, but Yori held himself up by forcing chakra to flow through his body faster. It took him the same amount of chakra to stay conscience for this, as it would to unleash another one of his Mea Clan chakra based attacks. Yori was, somehow, after flashing back into visibility, able to bring himself back into his Chakra Cloaking state. When he flashed into visibility, Yori was hardly able to see. His vision blurred by beating pain, his body twitching horrendously, he couldn’t functtion. So, Yori had no idea he had even come back into Akemi’s sight, and was glad to know he was again invisible right after it. Once invisible again, Yori leapt back into the trees, and landed on a tree branch. He reached for a kunai, but once he got near it, another brutal shock ran through his body. Yori ripped his hand back, as a reflex, and decided against kunai use. His Raiton affinity would have hopefully paid off right there, but all it did was make him aware that he was being jolted by a strong electric current, lot of help that did.

Yori left his problems for the wind, focusing at the battle at hand. He would need to somehow grab all his kunai, shuriken, and everything, stab them in the ground, let the Earth take the electricity out of them, then be able to use them. Or he could double up the electric currents with his own electric attack, and for a magnetic hold between his kunai, and his connection, guiding it right at Red, and making his Kaiten unable to be used, because she’d be jolted by electricity. Yori was amazed, he had never thought over any plan like that before, his best plan ever was to fake a Genjutsu, and he did that yesterday. The Mea boyu forgot about his amazing idea for a second, and put it in play. To do this, he would first need to position himself. He jumped from tree to tree, avoiding thin branches, landing with ballerina like softness, getting to his spot.

He now stood on a thick branch, leaving Red directly between him and Haru. This jutsu he was about to use was to show everyone, that ‘nobody separates Yori and Haru’. He and his weapon had a strong ‘connection’ one could say. These little puns were annoying Yori, and they were only going through his head. The Mea boy realized he didn’t have all day until Red would move, so he ripped off a string of four handseals. With a deep breath, Yori drew a kunai, with an exploding note on it. His hand received a brutal shock as he withdrew it, but Yori was prepared, so he could withstand it. “Raiton: Touza Enkou” He reached the hand, without the kunai in it, his left, out. A connection of lightning arced between Haru and Yori. Red would be feeling like Yori just did if He was still there, and hadn’t Kawarimi or used a clone to get out. As the connection surged, Yori enacted his plan. He threw the kunai, and it worked perfectly. It was going a straight along the line of the connection, than it jerked upwards, and was literally being pulled along to Red. As the connection was going, Yori pulled his hands into the ram seal, and as the kunai got to Red, Yori whispered, “Kai” Of course, by now, his position wouldn’t be hard to find. An electric beam just stopped in thin air, and was flowing through his weapon. But, Yori had used the magnetic affects for another reason. His Touza Enkou technique was flowing with Raiton chakra, something the Byakugan would see as a big, blue, thin aimed mass. But, since he figured out that the Byakugan could pick up on his exploding note before, he realized a simple fact. The chakra given off by the exploding note would be masked by the Touza Enkou, and with that, it would be invisible to Red, or so Yori hoped.

I got him! Yes!” A small grin forming on his lips as he became visible again. ”Hit him again….” his eyes caught what seemed to be increased Chakra flow throughout Yori’s body… ”Hit him Again!..” He was managing to stay on his feet. Impressive, but the pain was visible on his face ”For the love of…HIT HIM AGAIN!!!” He readied his hand for an other shot, this would bring him down, this would finish it, but just as He was about to release another arc he went invisible again… ”FIRE!!!!” pushing aside his momentary surprise He finally fired another shot right where He had last seen him, but nothing… the arc continued to hit a tree in the distance. He had moved. ”DAMN IT!! don’t hesitate like that! you had him! DAMN!” He had messed up, He should have fired the moment his eyes could see him. his hands had still been charged, an other shot would have been near instantaneous…. Too late, it was done now. He had to ready for what ever came next.

He readied to defend his self once again, expecting another attack. He would try to search for any signs of his passing but He knew full well that He would probably not manage to do so, at least not before he attacked his again. Remaining on the defense, waiting only to react to his moves wasn’t practical, nor was it smart. Suicidal was more like it. He had to think something up.

When he had attacked, he had revealed himself, had He been able to strike at him then He could have ended this fight. Unfortunately however, when he did reveal himself He had been forced into defending himself, unable to take advantage of finally knowing where he was until after…and then only because he hadn’t moved fast enough. He probably not make that same mistake again He had to find a way to strike simultaneously to his defense, like his Jyuuken taught her….

Also He had to end this fight quick, being invisible Yori would have all the time in the world to prepare his moves, He couldn’t afford that, next time he attacked He would need to take advantage of his revealing himself, if he did.

Cutting his thumb, He quickly fired off a series of hand seals, before slamming his hand down onto the ground.

”Summoning Jutsu!”

A puff of smoke appeared above his, a large and fast creature emerging from it rushing towards the sky.

”Zotsu! I need your help, My opponent is invisible!”

The hawk climbed over the tree line, taking to the skies, it’s Keen eyes scanning the field for any signs of this invisible opponent. Well this was good... Yori had an annoying advantage, being invisible. Now she’d have an advantage of his own... He had a partner. He almost forgot his mess up from moments earlier, his hesitation. He would have smiled as He turned, were it not for a sudden numbing pain striking at his left shoulder, The pain was sudden, causing his muscles to spasm, his entire body jolted back before pulling to his right, He would take a few steps away from the pain.

his right arm, came clutching his left shoulder, his entire right left arm was numb, He could barely move it. Turned to looked to see what hit his, A current of electricity, now some 6 feet from his, from that staff he had launched at his earlier, the current rose toward what appeared to be nothing on a branch some distance from the ground not too far from his, his sight caught something else, moving fast, a Kunai? worse, He detected more movement to it then a simple Kunai should make, a tag!

He released Chakra from his Tenketsus, but it was too late too spin… He didn’t have time to create the Kaiten, rather all He managed was to jump backwards away from the weapon slightly, He wouldn’t get far though before it detonated. his right arm rose to protect his face leaving the rest of his body to depend on the distance He had put between himself and the explosive as well that the Chakra He had emitted to protect himself with.

The Explosion launched his some dozen feet back, He landed hard on his back, barely managing to get himself in a role to try to absorb some of the impact. The distance He had put between himself and that lightning ark along with the Chakra He had released as if to produce the Kaiten had combined to protect his from most of the danger, but not all of it. his entire body numbingly ached badly, the wind had been knocked out of his, a painfully loud ringing was overwhelming every other sound in his ears and He felt some dizziness, but for the most part He had survived, though that was of little comfort right now as He tried to role onto his stomach to force himself onto his feet. He had to hurry, the longer He was down the longer He was vulnerable. But getting up was laborious. When He finally managed to make it to his feet. He tried to get his baring, looking to see what was happening, where Zotsu was….

--------

Zotsu, glided majestically through the warm air, his sharp eyes searching for this invisible opponent. That this one could be invisible to even Akemi’s eyes was surprising for the warrior hawk, He could see far better then even he could. Still if He had summoned him then He must be in need, and he wasn’t one to turn down a friend or a challenge.

Nothing, no sign of this opponent, could He be kidding? He’d turne to make another pass, concidering other options when something caught his eye, something unexpected, Lighting! Red had been hit, He was obviously in pain, what had… A steady arc of electricity was connecting what seemed to be a staff to… Nothing, That was it! Red was still on his feet, he could help his but he knew what he had been summoned for and Red could take care of herself… He rapidly turned into a dive, heading straight down building speed quickly. Zotsu had a maximum flying speed of 65 kilometers an hour, but when diving he could reach 150 kilometers an hour, He didn’t have the altitude or time to reach that speed on this dive, rather maxing out to 105 km/H.

As he rushed down, he would notice the a metallic object rushing along the arc of lightning, towards Akemi… He had to hurry! It barely took 2 second from his circular flight into his dive, and now he was leveling out, flying straight for that “nothing” that seemed to be the other end of the electrical current. closing in with his talons readied and enhanced with wind element (Talons of the mountain winds.) Simultaneously as the exploding tag detonated Zotsu had reached his target, his talons readying to close in and tear into what ever he could not see. Zotsu was flying in quick, Even if his talons missed, he fully intended to ram into who ever was there, if any one, with the full force of his weight and speed. If his talons did catch onto some one he would fly them up high into the sky before dropping them for the finish. If he missed completely he’d still head back up into the sky, He figured that if the winds were strong enough that they could caused the dirt and dust of the road as well as the tree leaves themselves to blow around , they might be able to notice that spot where dust, dirt and/or leaves either seemed to cling onto “nothing” or would disappear being affected by what ever technique he was using. He could make such winds, he would use his “Breeze of the Northern range”

--------

Red finally forced the confusion out of his mind and readied himself in his stance to defend against a possible attack He fully expected to be coming. He began emitting a low level of charka from each of his tenketsus in pulses, this chakra flow was too weak to protect his from anything, rather it was meant to counter Yori’s invisibility if he came in really close to his, soch as if he came in to strike his. He couldn’t see him, but He could see the Chakra He was emiting, if he passed through it he would disrupt it, He would see that disruption and wuld know something was coming in. She’d have to be careful not to use up too much chakra, so He emitted as little chakra as possible, and only in pulses every 3 seconds. He knew full well his reaction time wouldn’t be at it’s best, not after what had just happened, not until He settled back down which could take time. He needed all the advanced warning He could get. He was ready and in position just in time to see Zotsu rising towards the sky, Had he caught him?

Yori watched his attack take place, and the whole world seemed to be in slow motion. He hit Red with the connection attack, but his exploding kunai failed to do the damage he thought it would. That kunai with the exploding note was possibly the greatest strategy he had ever come up with, and it had hit a Hyuuga, he had actually gotten through the Byakugan and avoided the Kaiten. Red had been blown to the far side of the stadium, or field, it was a makeshift stadium anyway. Yori prepared himself for a follow up attack, one that could quite possibly end this fight. He thought of something to do, then, he felt something weird. his couldn’t exactly place his finger on it, but it was definitely a feeling. Yori had to follow it, this fight was to close to miss anything that gave him a bad feeling. He looked around, then finally, he checked the sky. Summoning, a bird was barreling in on him, and Yori didn’t think of a direction fast enough to be able to dodge this. A bird began to swoop down at Yori, and he was running out of time. This was it, time to put up or shut up. He was still invisible, and since he had stopped the connection, this bird wasn’t gonna be seeing him anytime soon, but it knew where he was. Yori made a single handseal, and a basic clone appeared. It was right in between Yori and the hawk, and the time he had left wasn’t enough for it to even fall to the ground. Yori withdrew a kunai, fumbling it a little in his hand, and leapt through the clone. He stabbed its back, so a plume of smoke would take over the bird’s vision, and whipped the kunai at the bird. Changing his position, Yori threw off the bird’s trajectory, so instead of mauling him with the talons, it smashed into Yori, and shot him into the ground. A dust cloud swarmed the two, and the bird flew out, a kunai hopefully implanted into it. Yori had been unable to keep himself invisible throughout this process, and his location was obvious now. His chakra system became visible again to the Byakugan, and even without it, he was picking himself up from the dust cloud. A gentle breeze overcame the field, and the dust’s departure was sped up. Some dust clang to his white jacket, but Yori shook it off. A scratch had been made across his right bicep, and the jacket was ripped from whatever exactly had cut Yori’s arm. He examined the wound a little bit, and there was some dust in it. He smirked a bit, it would take longer than this battle would to get infected, so he was fine.

Yori stepped out from where he had been smashed into the ground. A small mark had been left, like a divot in the ground, but not very deep, and a lot wider. He stood eye to eye with Red, and kept a mental note on the bird that certain to make another loop back. Yori began to walk over towards Red, and the whole time, he had a big smile on his face. He looked a little stupid, but Yori really couldn’t care less. He also had an essence of cockiness, but in reality, it was just a ploy to fool Red into getting over-emotional in the battle. He slowly walked in a straight line, but not aimed for Red, no he was aimed for a certain thing. Haru. Yori suddenly leapt over to his weapon, and grabbed it off the ground. It was still a Bo Staff right now, but with a flick of a switch, that could be changed, but Yori wasn’t ready for that yet. He grabbed Haru, and opened this switch compartment. From there, he flicked his thumb, and released a trigger. Three senbon shot out, one after the other. Yori aimed right for Akemi’s head, chest, and one at his right. Then, there were two options for a follow up attack. If He went into Kaiten, which was the goal, then Yori would unleash a Chakra Bow, and have it ready. The second He stopped spinning like a top, he would fire. Two Kaiten’s right after each other was feat only someone around a Jounin could perform. The arrow would be aimed right at his stomach, and knock his off his hinges, if all went to plan. If He didn’t use Kaiten, however, Yori prepared to unleash three more senbon, then charge his as his six shot style senbon launcher reloaded. Also, after the second three would be released, Yori would flip the switch, and the blade of Haru would come out, and then this battle would get on the road.

Zotsu had done it… He had gotten Yori and forced him back into visibility. Good. At least their was that. He had also managed to hurt the boy apparently. Still Yori seemed rather pleased with himself. even smiling. Hmph, He was usually the one smiling like that, is that what it felt like… It was almost funny, almost… well, now that He could see him again He doubted he'd find it all so amusing.

Yori was walking calmly, gingerly even, not towards his though. And again He did nothing other then watch, just as last time, when he had become visible for the first time. He knew He should attack now, not wait, but to be honest these few moments allowed his pull himself together a little more, it was definitely helpful. He was breathing normally again, and though his body still ached, He was settling down. This was good. He finally had a target to aim for, rather then being stuck reacting to what he did He could go on the offensive now. Though his eyes were focused on Yori He could see Zotsu in the sky above. He knew that he would keep his distance for now, leaving his to handle it, but He could see him itching to get into this fight.... Was that a cut on his leg?...

He took in a final deep breath, this was it, He was good to go, Quite frankly finally being able to go on the offensive did quite a bit to improve his mood. He was actually excited about getting this going again. ”Let’s do it!” He watched as he jumped for his weapon… let him get it. Pulling out a Kunai He watched as he aimed his staff towards his and fired. With his own Kunai, Red made a quick smooth motion turning towards his left, his right arm, holding the Kunai, raised to block the Senbon coming to his head, it wasn't necessary though, He had already moved his headout of it's path. The second Senbon, heading towards his chest, also traveled on right trhough where He no longer was, the third wasn't an issue being wide. With that taken care of He quickly glanced to make sure Yori's eyes were still staring towards before quickly raising his leftt arm towards the sky where it released a blinding flash of light.

”Hirameki no Jutsu!” (Flair Technique)

With that He rushed towards him, forming a series of hand seals, It was a little slower then usual due to his left arm still being a little numb but quick enough. Red hoped he had been caught by his flare, but whether he had been or not didn’t matter, it was a bonus, that’s all, Being a Mea he’d still be able to sense his chakra. Rather the flair was meant as a distraction, to allow his to get in close, to push him towards committing a mistake out of panic and surprise, what ever, it was meant to buy his time. his hand seals complete as He closed in on him He activated his next jutsu,

”Raiton: burikka no Jutsu”

He wondered amusingly, how would he like it to have his eyes failing him, unable to see his opponent. Well… he would be able to see his, somewhat. Yori hadn’t been that far from his, only needing 8 running strikes to close in on, that is... had He come in in a straight line, but that would have defeated the purpose of his jutsu. rather He moved from left to right coming in towards him in a confusing pattern, costing his a second or two but it allowed his to close in avoiding any other shots from his weapon.

He intended to come to a split second stop 7 feet from him to either of his sides, extending his arm toward him to strike using his "projected air palm". she’d quickly move to a different angle, to his sides or back, and strike again, and repeat once again. keeping moving, so that his flickering Jutsu would continue to confuse him. He might be able to sense his Chakra, but he wouldn’t be able to see his movements. If a single strike connected it would create an opening, He would be able to set his 8 trigrams, and he would be caught. She’d finish him off with his greatest technique. “The 64 Palm.”

If rather he tried to retreat from his, keeping his from closing in then He would resort to his “Hakke Kusho” to get him off his feet so as to allow his to close in. If he used his staff well, He'd rely on his eyes and technique. that was... If he managed to aim towards his, that would be lucky.

Meanwhile Zotsu watched from above, he had suffered a cut to his leg, but it wasn’t too bad, and he had had far far worse over the years. Red was up and ready. good, but He was being far too permissive with his opponent, had he been down there he would never have allowed the boy to take his weapon. Still now that He could see him Zotsu was confident in his capabilities, and if the boy tried to go invisible again then he would immediately use his “Breeze of the Northern range” to raise the dusts and leaves to allow to track the boy.

He was off he knew that flare, and knew better then to look straight at it, but from this distance even if he had the effects would have been limited. his second technique he also knew, having seen it during the battle between invading forces attacking Konoha. He seemed to be flickering in and out of existence, he couldn’t make out what He was doing, appearing one place one moment and another a second later. Good, Besides, if something went wrong, the boy some how surprised his or He made a mistake he would be here for his, he readied to use his “Gust of Wind” if need be. it would take no more then a second to fire it off at him.

Red, once again, didn’t use Kaiten, but why would He? That was far to easy, and way to perfect for Yori. It seemed as if He was one step ahead of him this entire fight. He dodged the three senbon, then retaliated with an attack of his own. He saw his left hand begin to rise into the air, and suspiciously kept an eye on it. Then, it lit up, and Yori was able to avoid direct contact with the beam, but he couldn’t see anything still. His eyes had been completely taken out, but he heard Red begin his own little advance. He felt his chakra presence closing in, and moving at an incredibly high speed. Yori flipped the switch to reset Haru. The blade came out, and was a rectangular shape, with very sharp edges. Haru was now a perfect Naginata, and Yori was ready. He was moving in a weird way, or so Yori’s chakra sensing abilities were ‘showing’. He couldn’t guess his next location well enough. So, that took out use of his Denpa Bakuha attack, so now he was left without any form of attack. He stood, still somewhat blinded, relying on his chakra sensing, which gave off a feeling more than anything. Then, he felt Red move even closer. Yori froze, he wasn’t prepared for someone to move like this. Even his sensei Maito Gai, who could move like this on a whim, and hit a lot harder, didn’t zigzag around. He also didn’t blind Yori, so that part was gone as well. Yori felt there was only one way to truly avoid losing this fight right here and now, and that was to run, get away, put some ground between he and Red, than come up with another way to beat the Byakugan. Yori began to jump back, but felt a strong pressure throw him back even further. His eyes were still recovering, but by turning his head, and contorting his neck, Yori was able to catch a glimpse of Red. his palm was extended outwards, and Yori already knew what this was. But, because this time, he was already off his feet, and jumping back a lot more carelessly than last time, he was shot by the empty palm. With Haru’s added weight, and overall top heaviness, Yori was sent careening through the field, and into the forest region of the makeshift stadium. He smashed his back off of a thick branch, and flipped head over heels, into the truck of another tree. Immediately, on contact, blood shot from Yori’s mouth, and he fell onto his knees, and hands.

How ironic, he thought to himself, his palms held him up after Akemi’s had put him down. He coughed up blood, and felt air flowing through his lungs once again. He had now dropped Haru, and the weapon sat on the ground next to him. But, he found the strength to pull himself back up to his knees. Yori could feel Red still bouncing around like a ball off the walls. His chakra sensing abilities were more natural, and just a byproduct of his Mea Clan affinity. He had a few seconds to relax, well it wasn’t relaxing, it was falling into hell. He pulled himself to his feet, by some grace of god, and readied himself, or gave the illusion of readiness, in reality, he was reeling from that last attack. Yori pulled himself together long enough to duck and weave away from wherever Red would appear. He quickly made it back into the ‘field of play’, and began to feel Akemi’s presence grow stronger. Suddenly, everything his father, Zen, and every other Mea had taught him made sense. Yori pulled his arms in front of him, and pushed his thumb down, and held his fingers up. Two sides of a shape, but they were specific. The two halves represented both parts. The right hand was Yori, bleeding quite profusely, and battered up, it showed him in his current situation. The left hand was the goal, it was slightly bruised, but showed no real injury. Yori closed his eyes, and put the two hands together. He felt a rush of power swirl through his body, and the last of his normal chakra system went with it. The chakra flowed into his hands, and between them, a blue diamond began to form. Yori’s eyes jolted back open, and from his mouth, the words slid like water, “Aoi Kongouseki” In front of Yori, two large gates appeared. These were invisible to Red, and to anyone who didn’t carry the Mea blood. The gates had an enormous lock across them, but it shattered and they were opened. Yori stepped inside the Mea gates, and from there, tapped into the real power of his clan. The gates disappeared, and Yori stood where had had been before, his chakra system completely restored, and greater than it had ever been. A blue diamond was now imprinted on Yori’s chest, and he stood, feeling Red stronger than ever. He was still moving around quickly, but it really didn‘t matter. His heightened chakra sensing gave him strong feelings. Couple that with his speed, Yori could feel where she‘d been and where He was now. It was as if the chakra it took to make this happen for Red would be left in the spot He landed at, being burned as it was left. Red, although Hyuuga, was human. Human‘s were creatures of pattern, and as Yori stood there, he began to notice his pattern, and a slight smirk had stretched across his face. “This is the real power of the Mea Clan, and even your Jyuuken can’t stop it. Red, I’m glad this fight has been so great, but I regret having to use this particular jutsu for the first time. But, with it, I can finally fight you, and this will be done right. Chakra Bow!” The Aoi Kongouseki made Yori’s chakra control so great that handseals weren’t necessary. A bow immediately formed in Yori’s hands, and an arrow in position. He fired the arrow right at where Red was bound, or so He should be going. He turned his body to the right, and fired at the spot where He had jutsu been, than quickly to the left, where he assumed she’d be going. The assumption shot had a snowball’s shot in hell, but crazier things had happened before. Like, Yori unlocking the Aoi Kongouseki’s power. Yori was now prepared for a counter, the bow was loaded with another arrow, and if Red came close to him, He would have fun wit hit. The backup plan, if that bird came swooping down, he was taking a chakra arrow to the neck. Since the arrow was composed or pure chakra, it could not be blown by wind, it would take a chakra based defense, such as Kaiten, to truly stop the arrow.

Aoi Kongouseki”

He watched as he raised his hands and executed what ever it was that he was doing, He watched as his chakra flow changed, was replaced, increased, something new was flowing within him. He watched as his Chakra network seemed to branch out, forming a second separate yet interconnected network. He watched as something… the shape of a diamond appeared on his chest…what was this?

“This is the real power of the Mea Clan, and even your Jyuuken can’t stop it. Red, I’m glad this fight has been so great, but I regret having to use this particular jutsu for the first time. But, with it, I can finally fight you, and this will be done right. Chakra Bow!”

So this was the technique of the Mea. this was what earned them the respect of his clan, as well as a place among those considered rivals. but what was it really. What was He seeing. He had to understand it, comprehend what it was, what it could do, how it worked and how to fight it. But first He had to avoid being hit by his “chakra arrows”. The first came right at his, He dodged skillfully, but a second arrow was already heading straight for where He was heading to, too late to turn or veer out of it’s way He had little choice but to jump into the Kaiten. But speed was of the essence their was no time to linger here to give him a target, it would defeat the purpose of his flickering technique. He spun in place only twice, his Kaiten lasting only a second, He needed to keep moving, but another arrow was already on it’s way, he had been waiting for his to use the Kaiten to attack his, no time to adjust his balance to jump back into a spin once again He raised his palm towards the incoming arrow firing off his ”Hakke Kusho”. the two charka manifestations met a mere 7 feet from his, each negating the other. With this it was his turn to strike back, but He needed time to figure out his next step, He needed to figure out what do to about this “Aoi Kongouseki” of his. He threw two kunai at him each with explosive tags set on slow burn, they would detonate some 6 feet ahead of him, hopefully creating enough of a distraction to allow his withdraw safely.

With three large leaps He managed to get to some 50 feet from him. Though He did not know it, his “Raiton: burikka no Jutsu” was no longer fully working, or rather it was no longer having it’s full effects on Yori. Though it was obvious that he was somehow able to track his again, He did not realize just yet that when Yori opened his clan’s Chakra gate it negated the Genjutsu portion of his technique, He was no longer flickering in and out of visibility for him, meaning he could see his just fine. The physical part however was very much still in effect. The constant bright electrical “flashes” emitting from his body were still burning away at his retina as long as he continued to look directly at his. The effects were subtle meaning that most didn’t realize it was happening till it was too late as large white dots appeared at first to hamper their sights, if they kept trying to stair at his then they would go blind soon enough, temporarily of course. Every time He saw Yori looking straight at his He felt quite pleased. He wondered how long it would be before he realized his vision was being damaged. Not too long at all He thought.

Having put some distance between them, He took a moment to inspect more closely at what was happening to his Chakra network and flow. Something struck his, He could see a second Chakra network interconnecting with the first but… He did not see any new Tenketsus? Did this mean that this second chakra network didn’t have any? In which case then his Jyuuken would indeed prove far less effective. But no that wasn’t it! Though his ability to see the Tenketsus was still some what limited, at least compared to other more skilled members of his clan such as Neji or… Rather then see them clearly lined out they appeared as bright dots along the Chakra network for his. Each spot was brighter then the rest of the network allowing his to make them out. So He didn’t notice it right away but finally it was clear. The second chakra network, It interconnected with Yori’s own at the Tenketsus themselves, sharing the same chakra wholes. Disable those Tenketsus and you disconnect and disable both networks.

”Yori is wrong… My Jyuuken CAN stop it!” In fact Jyuuken was most likely be the most effective means of doing so. Jyuuken invades and destroys what is made of Chakra, perfect to counter his technique. Break the flow and it wouldn’t matter where the Chakra came from. He understood now, The Mea used raw power and brute strength to attain their goals where as the Hyuuga utilized subtlety, precision, direct energy, yet both accomplished similar effects in a sense. The two clans truly were each other’s opposite. A small smile can upon his, Calm. He could do this. Their was a problem though, He as yet had no idea what Yori’s new Chakra would allow him to do. It would be dangerous to simply go in without a more thorough plan. It was then that his eyes noticed something else. That new Chakra flow, It was strong, potent…. Too potent!

his months now training as an ANBU medical Ninja had thought his quite a bit about the Body’s functioning, and his eyes granted his the ability to actually see what the books and teacher described. He knew what normal cellular activity and metabolism looked like. He also knew what over exertion looked like, He was seeing it now in Yori to a degree. His system was exerting itself beyond what was normal for it, beyond what it was used to. He wondered if it might be too much for him, whether his body would reach it’s limit, fail him in the middle of this fight. It was possible, or so He thought judging from what He saw. But their was no way of knowing for certain yet. A strong technique either way. She’d have to make a point to study his clan’s techniques dedicated to countering and fighting the Mea clan when this was done. For now though He had a decision to make and little time to make it. The exploding tags had detonated, Any diversion they might have caused would soon end. He had to act quick Attack with the intent of disrupting his chakra flow, or hold back and test him. ”what’s it going to be?”

he’d play it safe… for now, keep his distance, fight from afar, test his new found abilities, learn it’s limits. Once He was satisfied he’d move in to use his Jyuuken. And if He was lucky then he’d wear himself down on his own sooner rather then later.

PostSubject: Re: Red Hyuuga traing   Red Hyuuga traing I_icon_minitimeTue Sep 22, 2009 4:39 pm

(part two I had to make it cut in half because it said my post was to long (speed and strength and Dexterity)

Rapidly forming a series of hand seals, his hands charged with Raiton chakra, raising his hands towards Yori He wondered how his eyes were doing now.

”Raiton: Shuurai!” Two arcs of lightning shot right towards him.

The blue diamond blazed fiercely across his chest, and the new flow of chakra beamed through his body. Yori felt rejuvenated, and in all reality, was, he could not see Red, and damn was He bright. his bouncing in and out of sight didn’t really help the whole thing, but Yori needed to concentrate, he waited for a while to fire off his next arrows, he had gotten his into a Kaiten, but He was smart, smarter than Yori, He simply used enough power of the Kaiten to knock his arrows down, but was able to use the Hakke Kusho to take out the follow up. Yori smirked a bit, the bright blue aura of his chakra bow was shining into his face, and illuminating his expressions beyond their normal glow. His brown hair was waving about, as excess chakra that made it to his head seeped from the hairs, and escaped from the scalp. His white jacket now flung about, the breeze may have kicked up a bit, but it was for the same reason as his hair. Also, with the bow in such close proximity, the jacket jolted about freely. Yori was following Red, and getting ready to fire, when he saw two kunai coming for him. His eyes were sharp, as there were no current distractions with that bird keeping its damn distance. There was a slight burn coming from the end of the kunai, and within seconds, it was apparent, exploding notes. Yori waited for them to land, and because his Aoi Kongouseki gave him pinpoint chakra control, handseals were a thing of the past. He used a simple body flicker, and stood to Akemi’s left, 30 feet away, hidden to the normal man’s eyes, but the Byakugan, he was most likely blatantly obvious. Red then made handseals that were incredibly similar to ones Yori had seen before, he then leapt up into a thick tree branch, and the arcs of lightning shot directly beneath him. From the branch, Yori shot another arrow, his bow had never ceased to exist, and the arrow simply pierced the shell of the tree leaves, and other foliage.

Yori felt as if this entire battle was coming to an end soon, and wasn’t sure as to how long he’d be able to hang on with this. His eyes began to hurt from the bright light that was Red, but the tree’s canopy weakened that, a little. His body ached from the excess chakra that was used by unleashing the Aoi Kongouseki. He knew that as a Genin, or even as a Chuunin, it was to stressful to unleash the Aoi Kongouseki consistently, and that only in times of desperate need should he ever use it. Yori was prepared for a plethora of defenses of Akemi’s part. First, if He were to use his Hakke Kusho, or Kaiten, he would immediately fire another arrow, when they were only 30 feet from each other, the arrows got to his quite quickly. Since He could still move at an incredible speed, and He had stopped, ending the pattern He was unleashing before, Yori would have to play it by ear if He went to dodging the arrows. He had a goal in mind, however, and it was to stay one step behind Red. This would possibly lure his into a false sense of satisfaction, and once He moved in, he would get his. Also, his slight aerial advantage, as he still stood on the thick branch, meant that once Red got close, close enough to reveal a divination technique, He would have to jump up to him. Unless that was, He got under his and used projected air palm, then Yori would shoot straight into the shot, and the arrow and jyuuken strike would cancel each other out. Then, of course, there was the brightness of Red, Yori’s eyes were beginning to hurt, so the sooner he could get his to cancel that out, the better. Another minute or so, and Yori would be blinded, especially if He moved, then the light would drag across the vision of Yori, and that wouldn’t be, no, that would be all bad.

He shut down the electric charge in his hands from the Shurai as Yori’s arrow came rushing towards his, He would spin towards his left to sidestep it while pulling out another Kunai with exploding tag. As the Chakra arrow passed by his He throught the Kunai right towards him, or rather towards the branch he was standing on to detonate it the moment it planted itself into the tree. his next move was to leap back away from him once again. He intended to keep a minimum of fifty feet from him at all times. This would allow his to watch him carefully, observe him, learn what He wanted to know, it would also limit his ability to strike at his, the distance giving his more time to respond.

He was seeing much, his eyes picking up more then his opponent would probably feel comfortable with. His chakra flow was strong, bright, fast, stronger then Yori was accustomed to, faster… His body was definitely reacting to the new Chakra, it was as yet too much for him as He had suspected. Yet He had no idea yet how long he might be able to keep going, He couldn’t yet judge how long he would last, it could be 5 minutes or an hour. Strategic logic told his to hold back observe learn as much as He can about this technique, and let it take it’s tole on his body, strike when he was vulnerable. To have used an as yet self defeating technique such as this, a technique that would lead to his own defeat in time, meant two things. 1. he did not believe he could win without it, meaning he had thought that he was losing. his last blow must have been quite effective, too bad He hadn’t been able to move in on him in time to set his trigrams.

And 2 he believed strongly that this new found power would be enough to turn the tide in his favor and quickly, With this New chakra he knew that his body wouldn’t be able to keep it up, that it would wear him down yet he believed that he could win this fight before his body failed him. meaning that his powers and general abilities must have increased to much greater levels, indeed He had seen him Flicker without using any hand seals, definitely impressive.

Despite logic however He also worried that He might not be able to keep back long enough, Just like He could see him through trees and obstacles, he could sense his true them, meaning concealment was not an option. Also the longer Yori lasted the longer he’d have to find a way to close in on his and engage his, He would be forced to fight him which in itself wasn’t a problem, in part it might be good, exerting himself would most likely only speed up the process of his body failing. Rather the problem was that He would be reacting to his moves rather the controlling this fight himself, that was not strategically desirable. The moment one lets their opponent control the fight one becomes vulnerable. So that either meant He attacked him himself, or He found a way to keep him preoccupied.

All of a sudden an idea came to his, the exams, the part in the woods, He had been left unable to control his chakra to any great level, leaving his able only to use at most academy jutsus. Yet they had proven quite effective in fact, more so then He would have imagined before, they were all useful techniques of course but until yesterday He hadn’t truly realized just how powerful they could be if used right.

Yes, He would attempt to hold back, at least for a time, but He would also try to make him exert himself, wear himself down even more quickly, and perhaps more importantly He would assault his vision. If blind he might be able to sense his, but he couldn’t make out his movements.

”Bunshin no Jutsu!”

4 identical clones to himself appeared around his, none of them real, or rather none of them solid, they wouldn’t be able to attack Yori directly, they couldn’t punch him, they couldn’t kick him, nor could they pick up a rock or Kunai and throw it at him, they were for the most part harmless…. Well not exactly, not these clones. Though they had no solid form or mass to physically attack with they did have one aspect that made them dangerous, they were Flashing, brightly, repeatedly, blindingly. They were exact clones of Red, so as He flashed so did they. Illusory light or not, it was blindingly bright.

With that they were off, Red and one of his clones to a safer distance, while the other 3 clones headed right towards Yori. He wondered how they would “feel” it to his Chakra sensing abilities, He could make them out as nothing but clones with his eyes but could he?.. It didn’t matter, He didn’t care if he knew they were clones and not the real his, that wasn’t the point, the whole idea was to have these 3 clones swarming close around the Young Mea, flashing blindingly bright light from multiple directions, constantly in movement, making them harder to hit, their bright flickering distracting him, blinding him, forcing him to react to their presence, by either undoing them, which would cost his eyes as he targets them and to which He would respond by creating another to replace it. Or retreating which would work to keep him preoccupied, Both options would burn away at his body even quicker hopefully.

Through out this He would watch, observe, learn. If at any moment an opening appeared then He would move in as rapidly as possible using the “Shunshin no Jutsu” He would set his trigrams and bring him down before he knew what hit him. But it didn’t matter if such an opening presented itself, as long as he exerted himself more, burned away at his body more, and as long as He didn’t lose outright then the result would be the same, his body would fail and he would fall, and He would win. Time was on his side, This was the way of the Ninja after all, attack sideways, outsmart and outmaneuver your opponent. Don’t waste effort if it isn’t necessary. It wasn’t his preferred way, but it was the smarter way.

Yori however might attempt to bypass the clones and simply close in as quickly as possible on his, his clones would of course come to joint them but in the meantime he’d have a few moments to act. That was why He had kept one of his clones with his, adding it’s brightness to his own, he wouldn’t be able to stare right at his, he wouldn’t be able to see his movements. two bright flashing Akemi’s would see to that. That bright flashing didn’t affect his vision, He wasn’t seeing light right now. But Yori…

his defenses would be more then enough to protect his close in He though, his Kaiten, his speed, his ability to emit chakra from anywhere in his body, all these combined with the blinding light would work in his favor, force him to exert himself even more to fight his. And of course He always had Zotsu, awaiting in the sky above, if He got in trouble he could always come in and get his out of it. And he could call forth the Winds if Yori went invisuble again. If Yori attacked his from range, the same would apply. Very simply all He had to do was keep from loosing, He didn’t need to fight to win, Yori’s technique was already doing for his, He just had to make sure He didn’t lose before that happened. He'd take advantage of any opening He found to be sure, attack if they presented themselves to his but that would be a bonus.

Of course it was all easier said then done, but the principle was sound. He himself wasn’t in any great shape, his left arm still tingles painfully from that lightning blast, He was still slightly light headed from that exploding tag and of course his stamina, for all it’s training wasn’t infinite, but still, He wasn’t wearing himself out anywhere near how Yori was. This was it, his flickering clones were closing in on his opponent. Their combined brightness would most likely already be affecting his sight.

He put aside his pride, pushing aside his desire to go in and attack, resisting the urge to prove himself the stronger in direct contact, He might or might not be, but it didn’t matter, Be smart Red his uncle had told his, being Chunin isn’t about simple strength, For all one’s strength it wasn’t always necessary to use that strength, in fact most of the time it was a amatureish waste. He and the clone that had remained with his Took on Jyuuken stances and readied to defend and evade, ”Be smart Red, not a brute, use your strength and power wisely, Some times even if you think a straight forward tactic might be sufficient, it isn't always the best method.” …

"I understand uncle... I understand."

The bright clones began to converge around Yori. He felt the pain of his body beginning to take toll. He was in no way shape or form ready to unleash the Aoi Kongouseki, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Yori withdrew a kunai, and on the back of it a small piece of paper revealed itself. A thin string held the paper to the weapon, and Yori tied it around the handle. Now, it just looked like a kunai, with a thick, white handle. Of course, Red would still be able to, but Yori didn’t really care. He knew that these were just a simple bunshin no Jutsu, because he couldn’t feel them anywhere close, they didn’t have chakra. He triggered the small rite, and threw it between the clones. A basic explosion followed, and a plume of smoke developed between Yori and Red. his clones were gone, and now it was on to his. He was smart about this, He had somehow managed to increase the brightness of himself, and now Yori couldn’t look at his directly. This was a problem, and with his power dwindling down to its very end, Yori needed to find a way to do this. He withdrew another kunai, still standing in the tree, bow blazing blue. Again, another exploding note, he had though ahead this time, and brought a few extra exploding notes. Again, Yori wrapped it around the handle, but this time instead of throwing it, he came up with a better plan. The Byakugan could see chakra, but at the speed of the arrow, it would most likely look like a mass flying at Red, obviously taking the shape of an arrow. But, Yori decided, also had the shape of an arrow? A Kunai. He held the kunai up to the end of the bow, where the arrow was fired from, and all around it, bloomed the beautiful arrows with which Yori had been so accustomed. This was almost sure to work, well Yori thought that in his other plans as well, but he liked this one, almost as much as he liked his idea to use his electrical current to direct the kunai at Red earlier.

Now for the action. Yori smiled, still hidden in the tree’s canopy, not hidden in the slightest to the eyes of Red. He never had been, except for his all to brief stint in invisibility. But, now Yori hadn’t the time to slouch around invisible, he had to strike, to end this battle, once and for all. The exploding arrow was quivering in the bow, Yori’s hand shook at the mere thought of losing this battle. He couldn’t hold up much longer, however, this was his final attack, and after this, he was going to need some emergency hospitalization to recover back to full strength. Yori took one final deep breath, and blinked his eyes. He disappeared, from Red, only for a split second, and stood now just 20 feet from his. It was the maximum range of a body flicker that Yori could do, but it was plenty. He shot the exploding arrow right at his, closing his eyes, relying on his senses, and the fact he had examined where exactly in front of his was, and which direction to aim while on the tree. He then used another Shuunsin, and was only ten feet away, but now to his right shoulder. As he let this arrow rip, his first note exploded, if He used a full Kaiten rotation, then this arrow was simply going to be knocked away in the fray, but if He used his Hakke Kusho, then this arrow would be right at his shoulder, most likely forcing his to use Kaiten. Yori had to look for this shot, but the smoke of his attack dimmed the bright body of Red. He flickered for the last time, and now stood nothing short of 6 feet from Red, he had timed the Kaiten’s length, and was ready. His arms began to fail him, his knees buckled. The arrow was unable to be launched ,and it was a definite victor, barring some ridiculous defense, seeing how He could have used Kaiten the arrows before, and this would finished his. Even if He went about defending Yori’s other attacks, he didn’t have enough time to change his mind. He had three attacks one after the other, than he was done, and this fight was over. If his first two arrows finished Red off, then so be it, he had won, but if He was able to stand, than Yori had lost. His bow shattered into thousands of tiny chakra shards, which slowly disintegrated. The arrow went with it, and it seemed all the chakra given to him by the Aoi Kongouseki was gone. Yori actually saw the gates in front of him, invisible to any non-Mea, and he saw the doors close, and a chain lock reemerge on the front of it. Yori would have reached out to his ancestors, but he couldn’t quite do that, his arms were done for, and on top of that, his legs were shot from the constant movement he had kept up throughout this entire ordeal. Yori had most likely lost, and only is Red was completely devastated by his attacks, and was unconscious, would Yori be considered the victor. He enjoyed the fight, but as the last seconds of his given power ticked away, Yori was only able to close his eyes, and let his body begin to recover.

(strength and Dexterity and Intelligence )

red entered the desert looking thoughtfully at the nearly endless amount of sand.He was wearing his usual baggy purple pants, no shirt, and a purple hood and black bandanna to cover the intense heat of the sun.The hot sand felt good on his bare feet because it was what he was use to, but none of that mattered.Today he had a goal which was to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu. He had wanted to learn this for a long time so he could do some jutsus easier to perform.

red knew the first step to learning this jutsu was to make the Tiger Hand Seal and adjust his left hand slightly to make a cross. He created the Hand Seal and screamed out "Shadow Clone Jutsu".All of the sudden one shadow clone appeared in a poof of smoke.red was proud of himself but one clone wasn't enough, he needed more to make himself really happy.red attempted another time and tried to distribute his chakra evenly among multiple clones. In a sudden poof of smoke two clones appeared.

red now wanted to test the power of his clones so he engaged the two clones in battle. One clone charged him and the other leaped in the air to pounce him.The one that charged him pulled out a kunai and flung it at him.red easily deflected it and pulled out a shuriken and struck the clone in the forehead turning it into a puff of smoke. The other clone wasn't as easy because it moved a lot quicker. It go behind red and gave him a gentle fist dangerously close to red's spine. It knocked him to the ground for a moment but he soon got up.

Now the challenge was to get that single clone.red figured the reason it was stronger was it had half of his chakra. The clone went to hit him with one more gentle fist but red intercepted it and grabbed him midair slamming the clone to the ground destroying it.red was really satisfied with himself so now he did the hand seal again and the result was five perfect clones of himself. They all were mirror images of him.

red was so tired he collapsed right there from his massive chakra consumption and also exhaustion. When he awoke he was sore from the sunburn on his back and he was very thirsty. He took a long drink from his canteen and then he was ready to continue his training.red gathered up some stored chakra and did the hand seals and created five shadow clones. He then commanded the five clones to create shadow clones of them selves. All five of the clones created a clone of themselves making an even ten clones.

In most ninja creating this many clones would make them very weak from the amount of chakra they would have used.red was special though because he had a massive amount of chakra, more than most ninjas. He had all of the clones focus there chakra and then have them create a giant platform made of sand and all of the clones jumped on it and levitated in the air.It took an amazing amount of chakra to perform this feat and red could only maintain this for about a minute before all of the clone disappeared and the sand fell to the ground along with red.If it hadn't have been for his sand manipulation that fall could have seriously injured him.

After hitting the sand with a light thud red passed out once more. The thing that woke him up was the intense pain of his bright red sunburn.red limped back to Sunagakure only to fall once more at the gates. He awoke in the hospital alone and very thirsty.red may have been in the hospital at that moment but he was just happy he had learned the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

red figured it was time to learn the Body Flicker Technique. He had wanted to learn for a while but he'd been so busy.It was a D-Rank jutsu so he figured it would not be very hard.In the desert where he was he figured he would just learn the Sand Body Flicker Technique. He focused chakra into his legs and into the sand and then to the eye it would have looked like he had turned into sand but he had actually just appeared a few feet away.

It was pretty good but not far enough. If he wanted to be able to travel from the village to the desert in a flash he would have to do better. He tried the same method again and he was almost 30 feet away.red was pretty happy.red tried once more and in an instant he was at the Suna Gates with warm sand on his chest.red had learned the Sand Body Flicker Technique.

Today red had traveled to The Valley of the End.He hadn't traveled there for no reason though.Today he wanted to master the Wind Element. He sat underneath a large tree to begin his training. This wouldn't be easy, but red new he could do it.

red opened his training scroll to see what his first task would be.It looked like his first task would be to cut a leaf in half using his chakra.red found a nice leaf hanging on a small branch and placed it flatly in his palm.red gathered some chakra and made a slashing motion with his hand. All of the sudden the leaf was cut about a fifth of the way.

red tried this a few times until he got the hang of it.Then using a lot of chakra and trying to combine it with the wind red made that same slashing motion and the leaf split in two.red was very surprise at fast he had learned his first task.It was about sundown and He wanted to get a good nights sleep so he would be ready to train in the morning.red sat down underneath that tree and fell asleep.

At about 2:00 in the morning red awoke because he couldn't sleep very well.He jumped to the top of the tree to bask in the moonlight.red did not know why but moonlight always refreshed him.red figured at the time he felt strong so he would continue his training. He picked up his scroll and read over the next part.It said he would have to split a waterfall.

red knew this would take up almost all of his chakra and that probably still wouldn't be enough. He climbed the water fall and sat on a rock on top of it and focused. He woke up the next morning on top of the waterfall. He must have fallen asleep while training late last night.red descended down the rock and he got ready for a lot of training.

He had stored up a lot of chakra from the night before and he was prepared. He gathered up all of that chakra and used the swirling wind around it all at once.red charged the waterfall with that chakra and hit it with a force so strong it almost knocked him backwards. With so much force red figured it would have done a more damage tan it did.All this did was cut it less than 10%.It was pretty good for one day but not enough.

red knew that the deep focusing from the night before really helped so he had a routine. He would train during the day and focus at night when the moon was shining.red had that all thought out but one thing he didn't think of was sleep. After a few days of his method red could barely stand up.He made a little more progress everyday and worked a little sleeping into his schedule and after about a month he had cut a little over 50% percent of the waterfall.

This continued on and on for another month until one day when red broke his routine and tried cutting the waterfall at midnight under a full moon.red used the extra boost of chakra he usually got in the moonlight.red charged the waterfall at full speed and when he hit it the waterfall split clean in half. This took up a lot of red's chakra and he passed out shortly after.red awoke in the morning very happy about what he had accomplished last night.

Now red had to split it vertically. He used the same method and kept practicing at midnight under the moon.It was going much more smoothly then last time. After about a month red had it about 75% cut and he was doing good. After a few more weeks red was able to split it vertically and horizontally, but there was one more task red had to complete red's next and final task was going to be harder than he thought.

His next task was split it both vertically and horizontally.Again red used his same method thid time it felt like he could only try it a few times a day.It seemed like every attempt at
performing this cut a major chunk out of his chakra.red needed an easier way to do this.instead of trying and focusing over and over one day red just sat down o top of the waterfall and focused for a whole week straight.

When all this intense training was done red stood up and walked up to the waterfall. It was the middle of the night and red felt like he had regained almost all of his chakra. He did this one more try and this time red got closer than he had ever gotten. The fall had been cut all the way horizontally but only half way vertically.red was happy at the progress he had made but now there was a major problem.

red's problem was the waterfall he had been training on was almost completely destroyed. This would slow him down a lot so he had to find another waterfall.red knew there was a waterfall in Konohagakure so that was his new destination.red traveled there in about a day and found his new waterfall. This time red spent two whole days focusing on top of the waterfall.

The next night red was in a mood to try it out.red focused his chakra harder than he ever had before. His focus was so intense that his head started to hurt really bad and then all of the sudden he passed out.He awoke the next day as the sun was rising. He was really sweaty but he wanted to master the Wind Element today. He focused a little and then sprinted over to the waterfall.

Now it was go time.As red arrived at the waterfall he was feeling very energetic and pumped.red had nothing to lose so he got that intense focus again and built up so much chakra you could almost see it.He combined that chakra with the wind around him which was blowing really hard.He channeled it all to his hand and charged that waterfall faster than he had ever moved before. When he hit that waterfall he didn't even get wet.

It had split horizontally and vertically completely. It was all over.red was really happy he had finally mastered the Wind Element. It had took a very long time and a lot of chakra but he had finally got it.red walked back to Sunagakure very proudly knowing he had learned their element.

red entered the Suna desert that day wanting to learn the Wind Release:Violent Wind Palm.He had just mastered the Wind Element and was ready to learn some Wind Release jutsu. It was a C-Rank jutsu but red could get it.He first did the Sand Clone jutsu to have someone to practice on.He focused his wind chakra and began.

He clapped his hands together and said "Wind Release:Violent Wind Palm"jutsu.Suddenly a little burst of air shot out of his hands and hit the sand clone. It barely affected it but at least he was making a little progress. He focused even more and tried to channel the wind around him to perfect this jutsu. He clapped his hands together and said the name of the jutsu.

An even bigger burst of air shot out and hit the sand clone knocking it on it's butt. His technique was getting stronger but it needed some work.red tried a few more times but still couldn't get it right. He figured he would just continue his training tomorrow. He got up the next day ready to finish this jutsu.

He created another sand clone and started to do the jutsu again. With his wind chakra red clapped his hand together and yelled out "Wind Release:Violent Wind Palm" jutsu. This time a vey quick burst of air shot out of his hands. It hit the shadow clone hard and it disappeared in to sand.red had learned the Wind Release:Violent Wind Palm.

It was a very hot day in the Suna Desert and red wanted to learn the Spiraling Wind Ball.It was a fairly easy jutsu and red could learn it.He had just mastered his Wind Element and needed to learn some powerful jutsu. In the jutsu it allows the user to breathe wind chakra into their hand in the shape of a ball and shoot it at the enemy.red felt refreshed when the warm sand was under his feet.He was ready to start his training.

red was wearing a yellow scarf around his neck and a purple hood over his head.A cool breeze blew over his chest that felt good in the hot sun.To start his training red did the Sand Clone Technique to practice on.He focused his wind chakra and and blew into his hand.A little ball of chakra formed and he launched it at the clone.

The little ball of chakra flew at the clone and before it hit him it disappeared.red was very surprised it didn't do anymore. The clone looked at happy because it didn't hit him.red did this jutsu once more and he shot the ball strait at the clone.Instead of hitting the clone, this time it veered off to the right and hit a sand dune.

The sand dune exploded sending sand everywhere.red could not figure out why this jutsu would not work.red focused even more chakra almost to the point where he would faint. He fired the spinning wind ball at the sand clone and it was about the size of a softball. It was moving extremely fast and when it hit the clone there was a large boom. When red got the sand out of his eyes he looked in amazement because the sand clone had no head. The clone turned into to sand and red was happy he had learned the Spiraling Wind Ball.

red had been getting in a lot of fights lately so he wanted to learn some powerful jutsu. The jutsu red wanted to learn was called the Wind Release:Godly Wind from the Mountains. It was a jutsu where the user uses wind infused chakra to create a vortex to shoot at the enemy.red did some basic training to prepare to learn this jutsu.red took a deep breathe and he began.

red started by doing the tiger hand seal. Then red said "Wind Release:Godly Wind from the Mountains".At first nothing happened, and then all of the sudden a small twister appeared in front of red.It spun forward and a strong breeze blew by and made it disappear.red was saddened it didn't do any better than that but not for long.

red did the hand seal and yelled the name of the jutsu and this time he waited for that breeze to blew by and just as it hit him he did the jutsu.By using the wing and chakra at the same time the jutsu became stronger. An even larger vortex formed but it started to collect stones and sand from around him.red could not control this jutsu any longer so he did the Violent Wind Palm to disperse of this jutsu.red had to figure out how to control this jutsu so he could use it against his enemies.

He meditated for a while to get his chakra flowing. He stood up in the hot sand and begun training again. He created a sand clone to do this jutsu on.red did the tiger hand seal and yelled out the jutsu.red tried to be one with the wind when he did this jutsu.A vortex almost twice as big as him formed and stayed in place gathering sand, stones, and other things.red then used his chakra to blast the sand clone to bits with the twister.red had finally learned the Wind Release:Godly Wind from the Mountains.

red's battles were getting really tough and he needed some strong jutsu in his arsenal. The jutsu he wanted to learn was the Wind Release:Great Breakthrough. It was a jutsu that creates a large explosion of wind leveling everything in it's path.It was pretty powerful and it would help red in his battles.

red was wearing the purple outfit he usually wore but with a purple samurai mask over his face.Today was a scorcher in the Suna desert and red was sweating under his gear.He was ready to begin his jutsu training. He started by doing some warm-ups and then some meditating. After wards he gathered up some wind chakra and begun.

He stored that wind chakra in one place and all at once released it.A small explosion erupted from the area and made red stumble but not fall.It was a good start but red could do better. He did this a few more tries and still couldn't get the hang of it.red focused that wind infused chakra for a really long time and he almost fainted.

He finally released it and a sudden powerful explosion blew sand 200 feet in the air. This jutsu was amazingly strong for a C-Rank.red created a clone of himself out of sand and tried to do this jutsu again. This time red fainted from the massive chakra consumption. He woke up the next day sweating and with dry lips.He created another sand clone and focused up that stored wind chakra. With a sudden burst of his chakra his sand clone flew high in the air.All that came down was a rain of sand.red had learned the Wind Release:Great Breakthrough.

Today red was going to learn another wind jutsu. It was the Wind Release:Divine Wind jutsu. In this jutsu the user releases a powerful gust of wind to create many small tornadoes.red could use this jutsu with Wind Release:Godly Wind from the Mountains to make a big twister and many smaller twister to follow it.The sun was shining and red was ready to begin his training.

To begin red did some meditating and some wind chakra control techniques. He then tried the jutsu when a gust of wind blew by.red yelled out "Wind Release:Divine Wind" and a tiny twister half red's size formed. It spun out of control until another gust of wind dispelled of it.He was off to a good start so he continued.

Next, red tried this wind jutsu again and again but at the most he could only get two twisters to form. The twisters were really small and a sudden gust of wind could blow them away.red had to figure out how to make the jutsu stronger. He waited for all of the gusts of wind to pass and he tried it again. This time four twisters formed and he was happy until a large gust of wind wooshed by and took them away.

He had to figure out a way to make them stronger so they wouldn't be blown away.He tried once more and created six twisters about 3/4 of his size.He then focused his chakra really hard. The twisters slowly came together into a line.red clenched his fists and they all came together into a big tornado which stayed in place with red's control. He unclenched his fists and they split into six twisters again.A breeze blew by but this time red was ready. He stopped it in it's tracks and made it disappear.red had learned this jutsu.
